| 1他們來到了海的對岸革辣撒人的地方。 |
1 They came to the other side of the sea, to the territory of the Gerasenes. |
| 2耶穌一下船，即刻有一個附邪魔的人，從墳墓裏出來，迎着他走來， |
2When he got out of the boat, at once a man from the tombs who had an unclean spirit met him. |
| 3原來那人居住在墳墓裏，再沒有人能捆住他，就是用鎖鏈也不能， |
3The man had been dwelling among the tombs, and no one could restrain him any longer, even with a chain. |
| 4因為人屢次用腳鐐和鎖鏈將他捆縛，他卻將鎖鏈掙斷，將腳鐐弄碎，沒有人能制伏他。 |
4In fact, he had frequently been bound with shackles and chains, but the chains had been pulled apart by him and the shackles smashed, and no one was strong enough to subdue him. |
| 5他晝夜在墳墓裏或山陵中喊叫，用石頭擊傷自己。 |
5Night and day among the tombs and on the hillsides he was always crying out and bruising himself with stones. |
| 6他從遠處望見了耶穌，就跑來，跪在他前， |
6Catching sight of Jesus from a distance, he ran up and prostrated himself before him, |
| 7大聲喊說：「至高天主之子耶穌，我與你有什麼相干？我因着天主誓求你，不要苦害我！」 |
7crying out in a loud voice, "What have you to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I adjure you by God, do not torment me!" |
| 8因為耶穌曾向他說：「邪魔，從這人身上出去！」 |
8(He had been saying to him, "Unclean spirit, come out of the man!") |
| 9耶穌問他說：「你名叫什麼？」他回答說：「我名叫『軍旅』，因為我們眾多。」 |
9 He asked him, "What is your name?" He replied, "Legion is my name. There are many of us." |
| 10他再三懇求耶穌，不要驅逐他們離開此地。 |
10And he pleaded earnestly with him not to drive them away from that territory. |
| 11那時，在那邊山坡上，有一大群豬正在牧放， |
11Now a large herd of swine was feeding there on the hillside. |
| 12他們懇求耶穌說：「請打發我們到那豬群，好讓我們進入牠們內。」 |
12And they pleaded with him, "Send us into the swine. Let us enter them." |
| 13耶穌准許了他們；邪魔就出來，進入了豬內。那群豬約有二千，便從山崖上直衝到海裏，在海裏淹死了。 |
13And he let them, and the unclean spirits came out and entered the swine. The herd of about two thousand rushed down a steep bank into the sea, where they were drowned. |
| 14放豬的人就逃去，到城裏和鄉間傳報開了；人都出來看是發生了什麼事。 |
14The swineherds ran away and reported the incident in the town and throughout the countryside. And people came out to see what had happened. |
| 15他們來到耶穌跟前，看見那個附魔的人，即為「軍旅」所附的人，坐在那裏，穿着衣服，神志清醒，就害怕起來。 |
15As they approached Jesus, they caught sight of the man who had been possessed by Legion, sitting there clothed and in his right mind. And they were seized with fear. |
| 16看見的人就把附魔的人所遇到的事，和那群豬的事，都給他們述說了。 |
16Those who witnessed the incident explained to them what had happened to the possessed man and to the swine. |
| 17他們便請求耶穌離開他們的境界。 |
17Then they began to beg him to leave their district. |
| 18當耶穌上船時，那曾附過魔的人，懇求耶穌讓他同耶穌在一起。 |
18As he was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed pleaded to remain with him. |
| 19耶穌沒有允許他，但對他說：「你回家，到你的親屬那裏，給他們傳述上主為你作了何等大事，怎樣憐憫了你。」 |
19But he would not permit him but told him instead, "Go home to your family and announce to them all that the Lord in his pity has done for you." |
| 20那人就走了，在十城區開始傳揚耶穌為他所作的何等大事，眾人都驚奇不已。 |
20Then the man went off and began to proclaim in the Decapolis what Jesus had done for him; and all were amazed. |
| 21耶穌乘船又渡回對岸，有大夥群眾聚集在他周圍；他遂留在海濱。 |
21 When Jesus had crossed again (in the boat) to the other side, a large crowd gathered around him, and he stayed close to the sea. |
| 22那時，來了一個會堂長，名叫雅依洛，一見耶穌，就跪伏在他腳前， |
22One of the synagogue officials, named Jairus, came forward. Seeing him he fell at his feet |
| 23懇切求他說：「我的小女兒快要死了，請你來，給她覆手，叫她得救回生。」 |
23and pleaded earnestly with him, saying, "My daughter is at the point of death. Please, come lay your hands on her that she may get well and live." |
| 24耶穌就同他去了。有一大群人跟隨着他，擁擠着他。 |
24He went off with him, and a large crowd followed him and pressed upon him. |
| 25那時，有一個婦人，患血漏已有十二年。 |
25There was a woman afflicted with hemorrhages for twelve years. |
| 26她在許多醫生手裏，受了許多痛苦，花盡了自己所有的一切，不但沒有見效，反而病勢更加重了。 |
26She had suffered greatly at the hands of many doctors and had spent all that she had. Yet she was not helped but only grew worse. |
| 27她聽了有關耶穌的傳說，便來到人群中，從後邊摸了耶穌的衣裳， |
27She had heard about Jesus and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak. |
| 28因為她心裏想：「我只要一摸他的衣裳，必然會好的。」 |
28 She said, "If I but touch his clothes, I shall be cured." |
| 29她的血源立刻涸竭了，並且覺得身上的疾病也好了。 |
29Immediately her flow of blood dried up. She felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction. |
| 30耶穌立時覺得有一種能力從自己身上出去，就在人群中回過頭來說：「誰摸了我的衣裳？」 |
30Jesus, aware at once that power had gone out from him, turned around in the crowd and asked, "Who has touched my clothes?" |
| 31他的門徒向他說：「你看！群眾四面擁擠着你，你還問：誰摸了我？」 |
31But his disciples said to him, "You see how the crowd is pressing upon you, and yet you ask, 'Who touched me?'" |
| 32耶穌四周觀望，要看作這事的婦人。 |
32And he looked around to see who had done it. |
| 33那婦人明知在自己身上所成的事，就戰戰兢兢地前來，跪伏在耶穌前，把實情完全告訴了他。 |
33The woman, realizing what had happened to her, approached in fear and trembling. She fell down before Jesus and told him the whole truth. |
| 34耶穌便向她說：「女兒，你的信德救了你，平安去罷！你的疾病必得痊癒！」 |
34He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has saved you. Go in peace and be cured of your affliction." |
| 35他還說話的時候，有人從會堂長家裏來，說：「你的女兒死了，你還來煩勞師傅做什麼？」 |
35 While he was still speaking, people from the synagogue official's house arrived and said, "Your daughter has died; why trouble the teacher any longer?" |
| 36耶穌聽見所說的話，就給會堂長說：「不要怕，只管信。」 |
36Disregarding the message that was reported, Jesus said to the synagogue official, "Do not be afraid; just have faith." |
| 37除伯多祿、雅各伯和雅各伯的弟弟若望外，他沒有讓任何人跟他去。 |
37He did not allow anyone to accompany him inside except Peter, James, and John, the brother of James. |
| 38他們到了會堂長的家裏，耶穌看見群眾非常喧噪：有的哭泣，有的哀號， |
38When they arrived at the house of the synagogue official, he caught sight of a commotion, people weeping and wailing loudly. |
| 39便進去，給他們說：「你們為什麼喧噪哭泣呢？小女孩並沒有死，只是睡着了！」 |
39 So he went in and said to them, "Why this commotion and weeping? The child is not dead but asleep." |
| 40他們都譏笑他。他卻把眾人趕出去，帶着小女孩的父親和母親，及同他在一起的人，進了小女孩所在的地方。 |
40And they ridiculed him. Then he put them all out. He took along the child's father and mother and those who were with him and entered the room where the child was. |
| 41他拿起小女孩的手，對她說：「塔里塔，古木！」意思是：「女孩子，我命你起來！」 |
41 He took the child by the hand and said to her, "Talitha koum," which means, "Little girl, I say to you, arise!" |
| 42那女孩子就立刻起來行走，原來她已十二歲了；他們都驚訝得目瞪口呆。 |
42The girl, a child of twelve, arose immediately and walked around. (At that) they were utterly astounded. |
| 43耶穌卻嚴厲命令他們，不要叫任何人知道這事；又吩咐給女孩子吃的。 |
43He gave strict orders that no one should know this and said that she should be given something to eat. |
