路加福音	Luke
¹眾稅吏及罪人們都來接近耶穌，為聽他講道。	¹ The tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to listen to him,
²法利塞人及經師們竊竊私議說：「這個人交接罪人，又同他們吃飯。」	²but the Pharisees and scribes began to complain, saying, "This man welcomes sinners and eats with them."
³耶穌遂對他們設了這個比喻說：	³So to them he addressed this parable.
⁴「你們中間那個人有一百隻羊，遺失了其中的一隻，而不把這九十九隻丟在荒野，去尋覓那遺失的一隻，直到找着呢？	⁴"What man among you having a hundred sheep and losing one of them would not leave the ninety-nine in the desert and go after the lost one until he finds it?
⁵待找着了，就喜歡的把牠放在自己的肩膀上，	⁵And when he does find it, he sets it on his shoulders with great joy
⁶來到家中，請他的友好及鄰人來，給他們說：你們與我同樂罷！因為我那隻遺失了的羊，又找到了。	⁶and, upon his arrival home, he calls together his friends and neighbors and says to them, 'Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.'
⁷我告訴你們：同樣，對於一個罪人悔改，在天上所有的歡樂，甚於對那九十九個無須悔改的義人。」	⁷I tell you, in just the same way there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.
⁸「或者那個婦女，有十個『達瑪』，若遺失了一個『達瑪』，而不點上燈，打掃房屋，細心尋找，直到找着呢？	⁸"Or what woman having ten coins and losing one would not light a lamp and sweep the house, searching carefully until she finds it?
⁹待找着了，她就請女友及鄰人來說：你們與我同樂罷！因為我失去的那個『達瑪』又找到了。	⁹And when she does find it, she calls together her friends and neighbors and says to them, 'Rejoice with me because I have found the coin that I lost.'
¹⁰我告訴你們：對於一個罪人悔改，在天主的使者前，也是這樣歡樂。」	¹⁰In just the same way, I tell you, there will be rejoicing among the angels of God over one sinner who repents."
¹¹耶穌又說：「一個人有兩個兒子，	¹¹Then he said, "A man had two sons,
¹²那小的向父親說：父親，請把我應得的一分家產給我罷！父親遂把產業給他們分開了。	¹²and the younger son said to his father, 'Father, give me the share of your estate that should come to me.' So the father divided the property between them.
¹³過了不多幾天，小兒子把所有的一切都收拾起來，就往遠方去了。他在那裏荒淫度日，耗費他的資財。	¹³After a few days, the younger son collected all his belongings and set off to a distant country where he squandered his inheritance on a life of dissipation.
¹⁴當他把所有的都揮霍盡了以後，那地方正遇着大荒年，他便開始窮困起來。	¹⁴When he had freely spent everything, a severe famine struck that country, and he found himself in dire need.
¹⁵他去投靠一個當地的居民；那人打發他到自己的莊田上去放豬。	¹⁵So he hired himself out to one of the local citizens who sent him to his farm to tend the swine.
¹⁶他恨不能拿豬吃的豆莢來果腹，可是沒有人給他。	¹⁶And he longed to eat his fill of the pods on which the swine fed, but nobody gave him any.
¹⁷他反躬自問：我父親有多少傭工，都口糧豐盛，我在這裏反要餓死！	¹⁷Coming to his senses he thought, 'How many of my father's hired workers have more than enough food to eat, but here am I, dying from hunger.
¹⁸我要起身到我父親那裏去，並且要給他說：父親！我得罪了天，也得罪了你。	¹⁸I shall get up and go to my father and I shall say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.
¹⁹我不配再稱作你的兒子，把我當作你的一個傭工罷！	¹⁹I no longer deserve to be called your son; treat me as you would treat one of your hired workers."'
²⁰他便起身到他父親那裏去了。他離的還遠的時候，他父親就看見了他，動了憐憫的心，跑上前去，撲到他的脖子上，熱情地親吻他。	²⁰So he got up and went back to his father. While he was still a long way off, his father caught sight of him, and was filled with compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him and kissed him.
²¹兒子向他說：父親，我得罪了天，也得罪了你，我不配再稱作你的兒子了！	²¹His son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I no longer deserve to be called your son.'
²²父親卻吩咐自己的僕人說：你們快拿出上等的袍子來給他穿上，把戒指戴在他手上，給他腳上穿上鞋，	²²But his father ordered his servants, 'Quickly bring the finest robe and put it on him; put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.
²³再把那隻肥牛犢牽來宰了，我們應吃喝歡宴，	²³Take the fattened calf and slaughter it. Then let us celebrate with a feast,
²⁴因為我個兒子是死而復生，失而復得了；他們就歡宴起來。	²⁴because this son of mine was dead, and has come to life again; he was lost, and has been found.' Then the celebration began.
²⁵那時，他的長子正在田地裏，當他回來快到家的時候，聽見有奏樂及歌舞的歡聲，	²⁵Now the older son had been out in the field and, on his way back, as he neared the house, he heard the sound of music and dancing.
²⁶遂叫一個僕人過來，問他這是什麼事。	²⁶He called one of the servants and asked what this might mean.
²⁷僕人向他說：你弟弟回來了，你父親因為見他無恙歸來，便為他宰了那隻肥牛犢。	²⁷The servant said to him, 'Your brother has returned and your father has slaughtered the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.'
²⁸長子就生氣不肯進去，他父親遂出來勸解他。	²⁸He became angry, and when he refused to enter the house, his father came out and pleaded with him.
²⁹他回答父親說：你看，這些年來我服事你，從未違背過你的命令，而你從未給過我一隻小山羊，讓我同我的朋友們歡宴；	²⁹He said to his father in reply, 'Look, all these years I served you and not once did I disobey your orders; yet you never gave me even a young goat to feast on with my friends.
³⁰但你這個兒子同娼妓們耗盡了你的財產，他一回來，你倒為他宰了那隻肥牛犢。	³⁰But when your son returns who swallowed up your property with prostitutes, for him you slaughter the fattened calf.'
³¹父親給他說：孩子！你常同我在一起，凡我所有的，都是你的；	³¹He said to him, 'My son, you are here with me always; everything I have is yours.
³²只因為你這個弟弟死而復生，失而復得，應當歡宴喜樂！」	³²But now we must celebrate and rejoice, because your brother was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.'"
