| 1稱為逾越節的無酵節近了。 |
1 Now the feast of Unleavened Bread, called the Passover, was drawing near, |
| 2司祭長及經師設法要怎樣消除耶穌，因為他們害怕百姓。 |
2and the chief priests and the scribes were seeking a way to put him to death, for they were afraid of the people. |
| 3那時，撒殫進入了那名叫依斯加略的猶達斯的心中，他本是十二人中之一。 |
3Then Satan entered into Judas, the one surnamed Iscariot, who was counted among the Twelve, |
| 4他去同司祭長及聖殿警官商議，怎樣把耶穌交給他們。 |
4and he went to the chief priests and temple guards to discuss a plan for handing him over to them. |
| 5他們不勝欣喜，就約定給他銀錢； |
5They were pleased and agreed to pay him money. |
| 6他應允了，遂尋找機會，當群眾不在的時候，把耶穌交給他們。 |
6He accepted their offer and sought a favorable opportunity to hand him over to them in the absence of a crowd. |
| 7無酵節日到了，這一天，應宰殺逾越節羔羊。 |
7When the day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread arrived, the day for sacrificing the Passover lamb, |
| 8耶穌打發伯多祿和若望說：「你們去為我們預備要吃的逾越節晚餐罷！」 |
8he sent out Peter and John, instructing them, "Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover." |
| 9他們問他說：「你願意我們在那裏預備？」 |
9They asked him, "Where do you want us to make the preparations?" |
| 10他回答說：「注意！你們進城，必有一個拿水罐的人與你們相遇，你們就跟着他，到他所進的那一家， |
10And he answered them, "When you go into the city, a man will meet you carrying a jar of water. Follow him into the house that he enters |
| 11對那家的主人說：師傅問你：我同我的門徒吃逾越節晚餐的客房在那裏？ |
11and say to the master of the house, 'The teacher says to you, "Where is the guest room where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?"' |
| 12那人必指給你們一間鋪設好了的寬大樓廳；你們就在那裏準備。」 |
12He will show you a large upper room that is furnished. Make the preparations there." |
| 13他們去了，所遇見的，正如耶穌對他們所說的一樣；他們便預備了逾越節晚餐。 |
13Then they went off and found everything exactly as he had told them, and there they prepared the Passover. |
| 14到了時候，耶穌就入席，宗徒也同他一起。 |
14When the hour came, he took his place at table with the apostles. |
| 15耶穌對他們說：「我渴望而又渴望，在我受難以前，同你們吃這一次逾越節晚餐。 |
15He said to them, "I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer, |
| 16我告訴你們：非等到它在天主的國裏成全了，我決不再吃它。」 |
16for, I tell you, I shall not eat it (again) until there is fulfillment in the kingdom of God." |
| 17耶穌接過杯來，祝謝了說：「你們把這杯拿去，彼此分着喝罷！ |
17Then he took a cup, gave thanks, and said, "Take this and share it among yourselves; |
| 18我告訴你們：從今以後，非等到天主的國來臨了，我決不再喝這葡萄汁了。」 |
18for I tell you (that) from this time on I shall not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes." |
| 19耶穌拿起餅來，祝謝了，擘開，遞給他們說：「這是我的身體，為你們而捨棄的。你們應行此禮，為紀念我。」 |
19 Then he took the bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body, which will be given for you; do this in memory of me." |
| 20晚餐以後，耶穌同樣拿起杯來，說：「這杯是用我為你們流出的血而立的新約。」 |
20And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which will be shed for you. |
| 21「但是，看，負賣我者的手同我一起在桌子上。 |
21"And yet behold, the hand of the one who is to betray me is with me on the table; |
| 22人子固然要依照所預定的離去，但那負賣人子的人是有禍的。」 |
22for the Son of Man indeed goes as it has been determined; but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed." |
| 23他們便彼此相問，他們中那一個要做這事。 |
23And they began to debate among themselves who among them would do such a deed. |
| 24在他們中又起了爭論：他們中數着誰最大。 |
24 Then an argument broke out among them about which of them should be regarded as the greatest. |
| 25耶穌給他們說：「外邦人有君王宰制他們，那有權管治他們的，稱為恩主； |
25 He said to them, "The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them and those in authority over them are addressed as 'Benefactors'; |
| 26但你們卻不要這樣：你們中最大的，要成為最小的；為首領的，要成為服事人的。 |
26but among you it shall not be so. Rather, let the greatest among you be as the youngest, and the leader as the servant. |
| 27是誰大呢？是坐席的，還是服事人的？不是坐席的嗎？可是我在你們中間卻像是服事人的。 |
27For who is greater: the one seated at table or the one who serves? Is it not the one seated at table? I am among you as the one who serves. |
| 28在我的困難中，與我常常相偕的，就是你們。 |
28It is you who have stood by me in my trials; |
| 29所以，我將王權給你們預備下，正如我父給我預備下了一樣， |
29and I confer a kingdom on you, just as my Father has conferred one on me, |
| 30為使你們在我的國裏，一同在我的筵席上吃喝，並坐在寶座上，審判以色列十二支派。 |
30that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom; and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. |
| 31西滿，西滿，看，撒殫求得了許可，要篩你們像篩麥子一樣。 |
31 "Simon, Simon, behold Satan has demanded to sift all of you like wheat, |
| 32但是我已為你祈求了，為叫你的信德不至喪失，待你回頭以後，要堅固你的兄弟。」 |
32but I have prayed that your own faith may not fail; and once you have turned back, you must strengthen your brothers." |
| 33伯多祿向他說：「主，我已經準備同你一起下獄，同去受死。」 |
33He said to him, "Lord, I am prepared to go to prison and to die with you." |
| 34耶穌說：「伯多祿，我告訴你：今天雞還未叫以前，你要三次說不認識我。」 |
34But he replied, "I tell you, Peter, before the cock crows this day, you will deny three times that you know me." |
| 35然後又給他們說：「我以前派遣你們的時候，沒有帶錢囊、口袋及鞋，你們缺少了什麼沒有？」他們說：「什麼也沒有缺。」 |
35He said to them, "When I sent you forth without a money bag or a sack or sandals, were you in need of anything?" "No, nothing," they replied. |
| 36耶穌向他們說：「可是如今，有錢囊的，應當帶着；有口袋的也一樣；沒有劍的，應當賣去自己的外衣，去買一把。 |
36He said to them, "But now one who has a money bag should take it, and likewise a sack, and one who does not have a sword should sell his cloak and buy one. |
| 37我告訴你們：經上所載：『他被列於叛逆之中』的這句話，必須應驗在我身上，因為那有關我的事，快要終結。」 |
37For I tell you that this scripture must be fulfilled in me, namely, 'He was counted among the wicked'; and indeed what is written about me is coming to fulfillment." |
| 38他們說：「主，看，這裏有兩把劍。」耶穌給他們說：「夠了！」 |
38Then they said, "Lord, look, there are two swords here." But he replied, "It is enough!" |
| 39耶穌出來，照常往橄欖山去，門徒也跟他去了。 |
39Then going out he went, as was his custom, to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed him. |
| 40到了那地方，耶穌便給他們說：「你們應當祈禱，免得陷於誘惑。」 |
40When he arrived at the place he said to them, "Pray that you may not undergo the test." |
| 41遂離開他們，約有投石那麼遠，屈膝祈禱， |
41After withdrawing about a stone's throw from them and kneeling, he prayed, |
| 42說：「父啊！你如果願意，請給我免去這杯罷！但不要隨我的意願，惟照你的意願成就罷！」 |
42saying, "Father, if you are willing, take this cup away from me; still, not my will but yours be done." |
| 43有一位天使，從天上顯現給他，加強他的力量。 |
43 (And to strengthen him an angel from heaven appeared to him. |
| 44他在極度恐慌中，祈禱越發懇切；他的汗如同血珠滴在地上。 |
44He was in such agony and he prayed so fervently that his sweat became like drops of blood falling on the ground.) |
| 45他從祈禱中起來，到門徒那裏，看見他們都因憂悶睡着了， |
45When he rose from prayer and returned to his disciples, he found them sleeping from grief. |
| 46就給他們說：「你們怎麼睡覺呢？起來祈禱罷！免得陷於誘惑。」 |
46He said to them, "Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you may not undergo the test." |
| 47耶穌還說話的時候，來了一群人，那十二人之一，名叫猶達斯的，走在他們前面；他走近了耶穌，要口親他。 |
47While he was still speaking, a crowd approached and in front was one of the Twelve, a man named Judas. He went up to Jesus to kiss him. |
| 48耶穌給他說：「猶達斯，你用口親來負賣人子嗎？」 |
48Jesus said to him, "Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?" |
| 49耶穌左右的人一見要發生的事，就說：「主，我們可以用劍砍嗎？」 |
49His disciples realized what was about to happen, and they asked, "Lord, shall we strike with a sword?" |
| 50他們中有一個人砍了大司祭的僕人，把他的右耳削了下來。 |
50And one of them struck the high priest's servant and cut off his right ear. |
| 51耶穌說道：「至此為止！」就摸了摸那人的耳朵，治好了他。 |
51 But Jesus said in reply, "Stop, no more of this!" Then he touched the servant's ear and healed him. |
| 52耶穌對那些來到他跟前的司祭長，和聖殿警官並長老說：「你們拿着刀劍棍棒出來，好像對付強盜嗎？ |
52And Jesus said to the chief priests and temple guards and elders who had come for him, "Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs? |
| 53我天天同你們在聖殿裏的時候，你們沒有下手拿我；但現在是你們的時候，是黑暗的權勢！」 |
53Day after day I was with you in the temple area, and you did not seize me; but this is your hour, the time for the power of darkness." |
| 54他們既拿住耶穌，就帶着解到大司祭的住宅。伯多祿遠遠地跟 着。 |
54After arresting him they led him away and took him into the house of the high priest; Peter was following at a distance. |
| 55他們在庭院中間生了火，一起環坐，伯多祿也坐在他們中間。 |
55They lit a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat around it, and Peter sat down with them. |
| 56有一個使女看見他面對火光坐着，便定睛注視他說：「這個人也是同他一起的。」 |
56When a maid saw him seated in the light, she looked intently at him and said, "This man too was with him." |
| 57伯多祿否認說：「女人，我不認識他。」 |
57But he denied it saying, "Woman, I do not know him." |
| 58過了不久，另一個人看見他說：「你也是他們中的。」伯多祿說：「你這個人！我不是。」 |
58A short while later someone else saw him and said, "You too are one of them"; but Peter answered, "My friend, I am not." |
| 59約隔一個時辰，又有一個人肯定說：「這個人，確是同他一起的，因為他是加里肋亞人。」 |
59About an hour later, still another insisted, "Assuredly, this man too was with him, for he also is a Galilean." |
| 60伯多祿說：「你這個人！我不懂你說的。」他還說話的時候，雞便叫了。 |
60But Peter said, "My friend, I do not know what you are talking about." Just as he was saying this, the cock crowed, |
| 61主轉過身來，看了看伯多祿；伯多祿就想起主對他說的話來：「今天雞叫以前，你要三次不認我。」 |
61and the Lord turned and looked at Peter; and Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said to him, "Before the cock crows today, you will deny me three times." |
| 62伯多祿一到外面，就悽慘地哭起來了。 |
62He went out and began to weep bitterly. |
| 63那些羈押耶穌的人戲弄他、打他； |
63The men who held Jesus in custody were ridiculing and beating him. |
| 64又蒙起他來，問他說：「你猜一猜：是誰打你？」 |
64They blindfolded him and questioned him, saying, "Prophesy! Who is it that struck you?" |
| 65他們還說了許多別的侮辱他的話。 |
65And they reviled him in saying many other things against him. |
| 66天一亮，民間長老及司祭長並經師集合起來，把耶穌帶到他們的公議會裏， |
66 When day came the council of elders of the people met, both chief priests and scribes, and they brought him before their Sanhedrin. |
| 67說：「如果你是默西亞，就告訴我們罷！」耶穌回答他們說：「即便我告訴你們，你們也不會相信。 |
67They said, "If you are the Messiah, tell us," but he replied to them, "If I tell you, you will not believe, |
| 68如果我問，你們也決不回答。 |
68and if I question, you will not respond. |
| 69從今以後，人子要坐在大能者天主的右邊。」 |
69But from this time on the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God." |
| 70眾人於是說：「那麼，你就是天主子了？」耶穌對他們說：「你們說了，我就是。」 |
70They all asked, "Are you then the Son of God?" He replied to them, "You say that I am." |
| 71他們說：「我們何必還需要見證呢？我們親自從他的口中聽見了。」 |
71Then they said, "What further need have we for testimony? We have heard it from his own mouth." |
