| 1這些事後，耶穌在提庇黎雅海邊，又顯現給門徒；他是這樣顯現的： |
1 After this, Jesus revealed himself again to his disciples at the Sea of Tiberias. He revealed himself in this way. |
| 2當西滿伯多祿，號稱狄狄摩的多默，加里肋亞加納的納塔乃耳，載伯德的兩個兒子，和其他兩個門徒在一起的時候， |
2Together were Simon Peter, Thomas called Didymus, Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, Zebedee's sons, and two others of his disciples. |
| 3西滿伯多祿對他們說：「我去打魚。」他們回答說：「我們也同你一起去。」他們便出去，上了船；但那一夜什麼也沒有捕到。 |
3 Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We also will come with you." So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. |
| 4已經到了早晨，耶穌站在岸上，門徒卻沒有認出他是耶穌來。 |
4When it was already dawn, Jesus was standing on the shore; but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus. |
| 5於是耶穌對他們說：「孩子們，你們有些魚吃嗎？」他們回答說：「沒有。」 |
5Jesus said to them, "Children, have you caught anything to eat?" They answered him, "No." |
| 6耶穌向他們說：「向船右邊撒網，就會捕到。」他們便撒下網去，因為魚太多，竟不能拉上網來。 |
6So he said to them, "Cast the net over the right side of the boat and you will find something." So they cast it, and were not able to pull it in because of the number of fish. |
| 7耶穌所愛的那個門徒就對伯多祿說：「是主。」西滿伯多祿一聽說是主，他原是赤著身，就束上外衣，縱身跳入海裏； |
7So the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord." When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he tucked in his garment, for he was lightly clad, and jumped into the sea. |
| 8其他的門徒，因離岸不遠──約有二百肘──坐著小船，拖著一網魚而來。 |
8The other disciples came in the boat, for they were not far from shore, only about a hundred yards, dragging the net with the fish. |
| 9當他們上了岸，看見放著一堆炭火，上面放著魚和餅。 |
9 When they climbed out on shore, they saw a charcoal fire with fish on it and bread. |
| 10耶穌對他們說：「把你們剛纔所打得的魚拿一些來！」 |
10Jesus said to them, "Bring some of the fish you just caught." |
| 11西滿伯多祿便上去，把網拉上岸來，網裏滿了大魚，共一百五十三條；雖然這麼多，網卻沒有破。 |
11So Simon Peter went over and dragged the net ashore full of one hundred fifty-three large fish. Even though there were so many, the net was not torn. |
| 12耶穌向他們說：「你們來吃早飯罷！」門徒中沒有人敢問他：「你是誰？」因為知道是主。 |
12Jesus said to them, "Come, have breakfast." And none of the disciples dared to ask him, "Who are you?" because they realized it was the Lord. |
| 13耶穌遂上前拿起餅來，遞給他們；也同樣拿起魚來，遞給他們。 |
13Jesus came over and took the bread and gave it to them, and in like manner the fish. |
| 14耶穌從死者中復活後，向門徒顯現，這已是第三次。 |
14 This was now the third time Jesus was revealed to his disciples after being raised from the dead. |
| 15吃完了早飯，耶穌對西滿伯多祿說：「若望的兒子西滿，你比他們更愛我嗎？」伯多祿回答說：「主，是的，你知道我愛你。」耶穌就對他說：「你餵養我的羔羊。」 |
15 When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." He said to him, "Feed my lambs." |
| 16耶穌第二次又問他說：「若望的兒子西滿，你愛我嗎？」伯多祿回答說：「主，是的，你知道我愛你。」耶穌就對他說：「你牧放我的羊群。」 |
16He then said to him a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." He said to him, "Tend my sheep." |
| 17耶穌第三次問他說：「若望的兒子西滿，你愛我嗎？」伯多祿因耶穌第三次問他說：「你愛我嗎？」便憂愁起來，遂向他說「主啊！一切你都知道，你曉得我愛你。」耶穌對他說：「你餵養我的羊群。」 |
17He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Peter was distressed that he had said to him a third time, "Do you love me?" and he said to him, "Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you." (Jesus) said to him, "Feed my sheep. |
| 18「我實實在在告訴你：你年少時，自己束上腰，任意往來；但到了老年，你要伸出手來，別人要給你束上腰，帶你往你不願意去的地方去。」 |
18 Amen, amen, I say to you, when you were younger, you used to dress yourself and go where you wanted; but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go." |
| 19耶穌說這話，是指他將以怎樣的死，去光榮天主。說完這話，又對他說：「跟隨我罷！」 |
19He said this signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God. And when he had said this, he said to him, "Follow me." |
| 20伯多祿轉過身來，看見耶穌所愛的那個門徒跟著，即在晚餐時靠耶穌胸膛前問：「主！是誰出賣你？」的那個門徒。 |
20Peter turned and saw the disciple following whom Jesus loved, the one who had also reclined upon his chest during the supper and had said, "Master, who is the one who will betray you?" |
| 21伯多祿一看見他，就對耶穌說「主，他怎樣？」 |
21When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, "Lord, what about him?" |
| 22耶穌向他說：「如果要他存留直到我來，與你何干？你只管跟隨我。」 |
22Jesus said to him, "What if I want him to remain until I come? What concern is it of yours? You follow me." |
| 23於是在兄弟們中間傳出這話說：「那門徒不死。」其實耶穌並沒有說：他不死，而只說：「我如果要他存留直到我來，與你何干？」 |
23 So the word spread among the brothers that that disciple would not die. But Jesus had not told him that he would not die, just "What if I want him to remain until I come? (What concern is it of yours?)" |
| 24為這些事作證，且寫下這些事的，就是這個門徒，我們知道：他的作證是真實的。 |
24It is this disciple who testifies to these things and has written them, and we know that his testimony is true. |
| 25耶穌所行的還有許多別的事；假使要一一寫出來，我想所要寫的書，連這世界也容不下。 |
25There are also many other things that Jesus did, but if these were to be described individually, I do not think the whole world would contain the books that would be written. |
