Romans |
| 1我們強壯者，該擔待不強壯者的軟弱，不可只求自己的喜悅。 |
1We who are strong ought to put up with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves; |
| 2我們每人都該求近人的喜悅，使他受益，得以建立， |
2let each of us please our neighbor for the good, for building up. |
| 3因為連基督也沒有尋求自己的喜悅，如所記載的：「辱罵你者的辱罵，都落在我身上。」 |
3For Christ did not please himself; but, as it is written, "The insults of those who insult you fall upon me." |
| 4其實，凡經上所寫的，都是為教訓我們而寫的，為叫我們因着經典上所教訓的忍耐和安慰，獲得希望。 |
4For whatever was written previously was written for our instruction, that by endurance and by the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope. |
| 5願賜忍耐和安慰的天主，賞賜你們倣效耶穌基督的榜樣，彼此同心合意， |
5May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to think in harmony with one another, in keeping with Christ Jesus, |
| 6好一心一口光榮我們的主耶穌基督的天主和父。 |
6that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
| 7為此，你們要為光榮天主而彼此接納，猶如基督也接納了你們一樣。 |
7 Welcome one another, then, as Christ welcomed you, for the glory of God. |
| 8我是要說：基督為了彰顯天主的真實，成了「割損」的僕役，為實踐向先祖們所賜的恩許， |
8For I say that Christ became a minister of the circumcised to show God's truthfulness, to confirm the promises to the patriarchs, |
| 9而也使外邦人因天主的憐憫而去光榮天主，正如所記載的：「為此，我要在異民中稱謝你，歌頌你的聖名。」 |
9but so that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written: "Therefore, I will praise you among the Gentiles and sing praises to your name." |
| 10又說：「異民！你們要和他的百姓一同歡樂！」 |
10And again it says: "Rejoice, O Gentiles, with his people." |
| 11又說：「列國萬民，請讚美上主！一切民族，請歌頌他！」 |
11And again: "Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles, and let all the peoples praise him." |
| 12依撒意亞又說：「葉瑟的根苗將要出現，要起來統治外邦人；外邦人都要寄望於他。」 |
12And again Isaiah says: "The root of Jesse shall come, raised up to rule the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles hope." |
| 13願賜望德的天主，因着你們的信心，使你們充滿各種喜樂和平安，使你們因着聖神的德能，富於望德。 |
13May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the holy Spirit. |
| 14我的弟兄們，我本人深信你們是充滿善意，滿備各種知識的，並能彼此勸勉。 |
14 I myself am convinced about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, and able to admonish one another. |
| 15我給你們寫信未免有些大膽，不過我只想喚起你們的回憶，因為天主賜給了我恩寵， |
15But I have written to you rather boldly in some respects to remind you, because of the grace given me by God |
| 16使我為外邦人成了耶穌基督的使臣，天主福音的司祭，好使外邦人經聖神的祝聖，成為可悅納的祭品。 |
16to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles in performing the priestly service of the gospel of God, so that the offering up of the Gentiles may be acceptable, sanctified by the holy Spirit. |
| 17所以對於事奉天主的事，我可以在耶穌基督內誇口， |
17In Christ Jesus, then, I have reason to boast in what pertains to God. |
| 18因為我不敢提及別的，只說基督藉我，以言語，以行動，藉着奇蹟、異事的能力和天主聖神的德能，所作的使外邦人歸順的事， |
18For I will not dare to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me to lead the Gentiles to obedience by word and deed, |
| 19以致我從耶路撒冷及其四周，直到依里黎苛，傳遍了基督的福音； |
19by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit (of God), so that from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum I have finished preaching the gospel of Christ. |
| 20並且專在沒有認識基督的地方傳佈福音，引以為榮，免得我在別人的基礎上建築， |
20Thus I aspire to proclaim the gospel not where Christ has already been named, so that I do not build on another's foundation, |
| 21如經上記載的：「那些關於他沒有得到傳報的人，必要看見；那些沒有聽說過的人，必要明瞭。」 |
21but as it is written: "Those who have never been told of him shall see, and those who have never heard of him shall understand." |
| 22這就是我屢次被阻延，不能到你們那裏去的原故。 |
22That is why I have so often been prevented from coming to you. |
| 23但如今在這一帶再沒有可傳的地方了，而且多年以來，我就有到你們那裏去的心願， |
23But now, since I no longer have any opportunity in these regions and since I have desired to come to you for many years, |
| 24所以當我往西班牙去的時候，我希望中途能見到你們，得以稍微滿足我見你們的心願，然後由你們送我上道。 |
24I hope to see you in passing as I go to Spain and to be sent on my way there by you, after I have enjoyed being with you for a time. |
| 25不過，現在我要起身往耶路撒冷去，為供應聖徒， |
25 Now, however, I am going to Jerusalem to minister to the holy ones. |
| 26因為馬其頓和阿哈雅人，甘心樂意為耶路撒冷的貧苦聖徒捐了一筆款項； |
26For Macedonia and Achaia have decided to make some contribution for the poor among the holy ones in Jerusalem; |
| 27說他們甘心樂意，其實他們是欠他們的債。因為外邦人既分沾了他們的神恩，也就該在物質上扶助他們。 |
27they decided to do it, and in fact they are indebted to them, for if the Gentiles have come to share in their spiritual blessings, they ought also to serve them in material blessings. |
| 28所以我一辦妥了這事，向他們交代了這項捐款以後，便要路過你們那裏，往西班牙去。 |
28So when I have completed this and safely handed over this contribution to them, I shall set out by way of you to Spain; |
| 29我知道，我去你們那裏，必要滿帶基督的祝福而去。 |
29and I know that in coming to you I shall come in the fullness of Christ's blessing. |
| 30弟兄們！我因我們的主耶穌基督，並因聖神的愛，請求你們，以你們為我在天主前的祈禱，與我一起奮鬥， |
30I urge you, (brothers,) by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in the struggle by your prayers to God on my behalf, |
| 31使我脫免在猶太地不信者的手，並使我帶到耶路撒冷的款項，得蒙聖徒悅納。 |
31that I may be delivered from the disobedient in Judea, and that my ministry for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the holy ones, |
| 32這樣，可使我照天主的旨意，高興地到你們那裏去，同你們一起稍微休息。 |
32so that I may come to you with joy by the will of God and be refreshed together with you. |
| 33願賜平安的天主與你們眾人同在！阿們。 |
33The God of peace be with all of you. Amen. |
