Ephesians |
| 1你們作子女的，要在主內聽從你們的父母，因為這是理所當然的。 |
1Children, obey your parents (in the Lord), for this is right. |
| 2「孝敬你的父親和母親──這是附有恩許的第一條誡命── |
2"Honor your father and mother." This is the first commandment with a promise, |
| 3為使你得到幸福，並在地上延年益壽。」 |
3"that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life on earth." |
| 4你們作父母的，不要惹你們的子女發怒；但要用主的規範和訓誡，教養他們。 |
4Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up with the training and instruction of the Lord. |
| 5你們作奴僕的，要戰戰兢兢，以誠實的心，聽從你們肉身的主人，如同聽從基督一樣。 |
5Slaves, be obedient to your human masters with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ, |
| 6不要只在人眼前服事，好像單討人的喜歡，而要像基督的僕人，從心裏遵行天主的旨意： |
6not only when being watched, as currying favor, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, |
| 7甘心服事，好像服事主，而非服事人， |
7willingly serving the Lord and not human beings, |
| 8因為你們知道：每一個人，或為奴的，或自主的，不論行了什麼善事，都要按他所行的領取主的賞報。 |
8knowing that each will be requited from the Lord for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free. |
| 9至於你們作主人的，要同樣對待奴僕，戒用恐嚇，因為你們知道，他們和你們在天上同有一個主，而且他是不看情面的。 |
9Masters, act in the same way toward them, and stop bullying, knowing that both they and you have a Master in heaven and that with him there is no partiality. |
| 10此外，你們務要在主內，藉他的能力作堅強的人。 |
10 Finally, draw your strength from the Lord and from his mighty power. |
| 11要穿上天主的全副武裝，為能抵抗魔鬼的陰謀， |
11Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil. |
| 12因為我們戰鬥不是對抗血和肉，而是對抗率領者，對抗掌權者，對抗這黑暗世界的霸主，對抗天界裏邪惡的鬼神。 |
12For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens. |
| 13為此，你們應拿起天主的全副武裝，為使你們在邪惡的日子能夠抵得住，並在獲得全勝之後，仍屹立不動。 |
13Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day and, having done everything, to hold your ground. |
| 14所以要站穩！用真理作帶，束起你們的腰，穿上正義作甲， |
14So stand fast with your loins girded in truth, clothed with righteousness as a breastplate, |
| 15以和平的福音作準備走路的鞋，穿在腳上； |
15and your feet shod in readiness for the gospel of peace. |
| 16此外，還要拿起信德作盾牌，使你們能以此撲滅惡者的一切火箭； |
16In all circumstances, hold faith as a shield, to quench all (the) flaming arrows of the evil one. |
| 17並載上救恩當盔，拿着聖神作利劍，即天主的話， |
17And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. |
| 18時時靠着聖神，以各種祈求和哀禱祈禱；且要醒寤不倦，為眾聖徒祈求， |
18With all prayer and supplication, pray at every opportunity in the Spirit. To that end, be watchful with all perseverance and supplication for all the holy ones |
| 19也為我祈求，使我在開口的時候，賜我能說相稱的話，能放心大膽地傳揚福音的奧秘── |
19and also for me, that speech may be given me to open my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel |
| 20為這福音我竟作了帶鎖鏈的使者──使我能放心大膽，照我應該宣講的去宣講。 |
20for which I am an ambassador in chains, so that I may have the courage to speak as I must. |
| 21今有我可愛的弟兄，且忠於主的服務者提希苛給你們報告一切，好使你們知道我的事和我現在作什麼。 |
21 So that you also may have news of me and of what I am doing, Tychicus, my beloved brother and trustworthy minister in the Lord, will tell you everything. |
| 22我特意打發他到你們那裏去，為叫你們知道我們的情形，並叫他安慰你們的心。 |
22I am sending him to you for this very purpose, so that you may know about us and that he may encourage your hearts. |
| 23願平安、愛德和信德由天主父和主耶穌基督賜與眾弟兄！ |
23Peace be to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. |
| 24願恩寵與那些以永恆不變的愛愛我們的主耶穌基督的人同在！ |
24Grace be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ in immortality. |
