Hebrews |
| 1法律既然只有未來美物的影子，沒有那些事物的真相，所以總不能因着每年常獻的同樣犧牲，使那些願意親近天主的人得到成 全； |
1 Since the law has only a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of them, it can never make perfect those who come to worship by the same sacrifices that they offer continually each year. |
| 2因為，如果那些行敬禮的人，一次而為永遠潔淨了，良心不再覺得有罪了，祭獻豈不就要停止嗎？ |
2Otherwise, would not the sacrifices have ceased to be offered, since the worshipers, once cleansed, would no longer have had any consciousness of sins? |
| 3可是，正因這祭獻纔使人每年想起罪過來， |
3But in those sacrifices there is only a yearly remembrance of sins, |
| 4因為公牛和公山羊的血斷不能除免罪過。 |
4for it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats take away sins. |
| 5為此，基督一進入世界便說：「犧牲與素祭，已非你所要，卻給我預備了一個身體； |
5For this reason, when he came into the world, he said: "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; |
| 6全燔祭和贖罪祭，已非你所喜， |
6holocausts and sin offerings you took no delight in. |
| 7於是我說：看，我已來到！關於我，書卷上已有記載：天主！我來為承行你的旨意。」 |
7Then I said, 'As is written of me in the scroll, Behold, I come to do your will, O God.'" |
| 8前邊說：「祭物和素祭，全燔祭和贖罪祭，已非你所要，已非你所喜」；這一切都是按照法律所奉獻的； |
8First he says, "Sacrifices and offerings, holocausts and sin offerings, you neither desired nor delighted in." These are offered according to the law. |
| 9後邊他說：「看，我已來到，為承行你的旨意」；由此可見，他廢除了那先前的，為要成立那以後的。 |
9Then he says, "Behold, I come to do your will." He takes away the first to establish the second. |
| 10我們就是因這旨意，藉耶穌基督的身體，一次而為永遠的祭獻，得到了聖化。 |
10By this "will," we have been consecrated through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. |
| 11況且，每一位司祭都是天天侍立着執行敬禮，並屢次奉獻總不能除去罪惡的同樣犧牲； |
11 Every priest stands daily at his ministry, offering frequently those same sacrifices that can never take away sins. |
| 12但是基督只奉獻了一次贖罪的犧牲，以後便永遠坐在天主右邊， |
12But this one offered one sacrifice for sins, and took his seat forever at the right hand of God; |
| 13從今以後，只等待將他的仇人變作他腳下的踏板。 |
13 now he waits until his enemies are made his footstool. |
| 14因為他只藉一次奉獻，就永遠使被聖化的人得以成全。 |
14For by one offering he has made perfect forever those who are being consecrated. |
| 15聖神也給我們作證，因為他說過， |
15 The holy Spirit also testifies to us, for after saying: |
| 16「這是我在那些時日後，與他們訂立的盟約──上主說──我要將我的法律放在他們的心中，寫在他們的明悟中」這話以後， |
16"This is the covenant I will establish with them after those days, says the Lord: 'I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them upon their minds,'" |
| 17又說：「他們的罪過和他們的邪惡，我總不再追念。」 |
17he also says: "Their sins and their evildoing I will remember no more." |
| 18若這些罪已經赦了，也就用不着贖罪的祭獻了。 |
18Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer offering for sin. |
| 19所以，弟兄們！我們既然懷着大膽的信心，靠着耶穌的寶血得以進入聖殿， |
19 Therefore, brothers, since through the blood of Jesus we have confidence of entrance into the sanctuary |
| 20即進入由他給我們開創的一條又新又活，通過帳幔，即他肉身的道路； |
20 by the new and living way he opened for us through the veil, that is, his flesh, |
| 21而且我們既然又有一位掌管天主家庭的偉大司祭， |
21 and since we have "a great priest over the house of God," |
| 22我們就應在洗淨心靈，脫離邪僻的良心，和用淨水洗滌身體以後，懷着真誠的心，以完備的信德去接近天主； |
22let us approach with a sincere heart and in absolute trust, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed in pure water. |
| 23也應堅持所明認的望德，毫不動搖，因為應許的那位是忠信的； |
23Let us hold unwaveringly to our confession that gives us hope, for he who made the promise is trustworthy. |
| 24也應該彼此關懷，激發愛德，勉勵行善， |
24We must consider how to rouse one another to love and good works. |
| 25決不離棄我們的集會，就像一些人所習慣行的；反而應彼此勸勉；你們見那日子越近，就越該如此。 |
25We should not stay away from our assembly, as is the custom of some, but encourage one another, and this all the more as you see the day drawing near. |
| 26因為如果我們認識真理之後，還故意犯背信的罪，就再沒有另一個贖罪祭了， |
26 If we sin deliberately after receiving knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains sacrifice for sins |
| 27只有一種等待審判的怕情，和勢將吞滅叛逆者的烈火。 |
27but a fearful prospect of judgment and a flaming fire that is going to consume the adversaries. |
| 28誰若廢棄梅瑟法律，只要有兩三個證人，他就該死，必不得憐恤； |
28Anyone who rejects the law of Moses is put to death without pity on the testimony of two or three witnesses. |
| 29那麼，你們想一想：那踐踏了天主子，拿自己藉以成聖的盟約的血當作了俗物，而又輕慢了賜恩寵的聖神的人，應當受怎樣更厲害的懲罰啊！ |
29Do you not think that a much worse punishment is due the one who has contempt for the Son of God, considers unclean the covenant-blood by which he was consecrated, and insults the spirit of grace? |
| 30因為我們知道誰曾說過：「復仇在乎我，我必要報復」；又說：「上主必要審判自己的百姓。」 |
30We know the one who said: "Vengeance is mine; I will repay," and again: "The Lord will judge his people." |
| 31落在永生的天主手中，真是可怕！ |
31It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. |
| 32請你們回想回想先前的時日，那時你們纔蒙光照，就忍受了苦難的嚴厲打擊： |
32Remember the days past when, after you had been enlightened, you endured a great contest of suffering. |
| 33一方面，你們當眾受嗤笑、凌辱和磨難，另一方面，你們與這樣受苦的人作了同伴。 |
33At times you were publicly exposed to abuse and affliction; at other times you associated yourselves with those so treated. |
| 34的確，你們同情了監禁的人，又欣然忍受了你們的財物被搶掠，因為你們知道：你們已獲有更高貴且常存的產業， |
34You even joined in the sufferings of those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, knowing that you had a better and lasting possession. |
| 35所以千萬不要喪失那使你們可得大賞報的勇敢信心。 |
35Therefore, do not throw away your confidence; it will have great recompense. |
| 36原來你們所需要的就是堅忍，為使你們承行天主的旨意，而獲得那所應許的。 |
36You need endurance to do the will of God and receive what he has promised. |
| 37「因為還有很短的一會兒，要來的那一位，就要來到，決不遲 緩。 |
37"For, after just a brief moment, he who is to come shall come; he shall not delay. |
| 38我的義人靠信德而生活，假使他退縮，他必不會中悅我心。」 |
38But my just one shall live by faith, and if he draws back I take no pleasure in him." |
| 39我們並不是那般退縮以致喪亡的人，而是有信德得以保全靈魂的人。 |
39We are not among those who draw back and perish, but among those who have faith and will possess life. |
