申命紀:Chapter 10

申命紀	Deuteronomy
¹那時上主對我說：『你再鑿兩塊石版，與先前的一樣，然後上山到我跟前來；還要做一個木櫃。	¹"At that time the LORD said to me, 'Cut two tablets of stone like the former; then come up the mountain to me. Also make an ark of wood.
²我要把你先前摔碎的那兩塊版上的話，寫在這兩塊版上。你要將這兩塊石版放在櫃裏。』	²I will write upon the tablets the commandments that were on the former tablets that you broke, and you shall place them in the ark.'
³我於是做了一個皂莢木櫃，鑿了兩塊與先前一樣的石版，手裏拿着這兩塊石版上山去了。	³So I made an ark of acacia wood, and cut two tablets of stone like the former, and went up the mountain carrying the two tablets.
⁴上主將先前所寫的，即在集會之日，在山上由火中對你們所說的那十句話，寫在這兩塊版上，交給了我。	⁴The LORD then wrote on them, as he had written before, the ten commandments which he spoke to you on the mountain from the midst of the fire on the day of the assembly. After the LORD had given them to me,
⁵我遂轉身下山，照上主吩咐我的，將版放在我做的櫃內，存在那裏。	⁵I turned and came down the mountain, and placed the tablets in the ark I had made. There they have remained, in keeping with the command the LORD gave me.
⁶以色列子民由貝洛特貝乃雅干起程，到了摩色辣，亞郎在那裏死了，也埋在那裏；他的兒子厄肋阿匝爾繼他做了大司祭。	⁶(The Israelites set out from Beeroth Bene-jaakan for Moserah, where Aaron died and was buried, his son Eleazar succeeding him in the priestly office.
⁷又從那裏起程，到了古德哥達，又從古德哥達到了多溪水之地約特巴達。	⁷From there they set out for Gudgodah, and from Gudgodah for Jotbathah, a region where there is water in the wadies.)
⁸那時，上主選拔了肋未支派，叫他們抬上主的約櫃，侍立在上主面前事奉他，並奉他的名祝福，直到今日。	⁸"At that time the LORD set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to be in attendance before the LORD and minister to him, and to give blessings in his name, as they have done to this day.
⁹為此，肋未人同自己的兄弟沒有分得產業，因為照上主你的天主對他們所說的：上主自己是他們的產業。	⁹For this reason, Levi has no share in the heritage with his brothers; the LORD himself is his heritage, as the LORD, your God, has told him.
¹⁰我如先前一樣，在山上逗留了四十天四十夜；上主這一次又俯聽了我，放棄了消滅你的意思。	¹⁰"After I had spent these other forty days and forty nights on the mountain, and the LORD had once again heard me and decided not to destroy you,
¹¹上主且對我說：『起來，在人民前面領路，叫他們去佔領我對他們祖先誓許要賜給他們的地方。』	¹¹he said to me, 'Go now and set out at the head of your people, that they may enter in and occupy the land which I swore to their fathers I would give them.'
¹²以色列！現今上主你的天主向你要求什麼？是要求你敬畏上主你的天主，履行他的一切道路，愛他，全心全靈事奉上主你的天主，	¹²"And now, Israel, what does the LORD, your God, ask of you but to fear the LORD, your God, and follow his ways exactly, to love and serve the LORD, your God, with all your heart and all your soul,
¹³遵守我今天吩咐你的天主的誡命和法令，好使你能獲得幸福。	¹³to keep the commandments and statutes of the LORD which I enjoin on you today for your own good?
¹⁴看天與天上的天，地和地上的一切，都屬於上主你的天主；	¹⁴ Think! The heavens, even the highest heavens, belong to the LORD, your God, as well as the earth and everything on it.
¹⁵但上主只喜歡了你的祖先，鍾愛他們，由萬民中揀選了他們的後裔，就是你們，正如你們今日所見的一樣。	¹⁵Yet in his love for your fathers the LORD was so attached to them as to choose you, their descendants, in preference to all other peoples, as indeed he has now done.
¹⁶為此，你們要心受割損，不要再執拗，	¹⁶ Circumcise your hearts, therefore, and be no longer stiff-necked.
¹⁷因為上主你們的天主是萬神之神，萬主之主，偉大、有力、可畏的天主，是不顧情面，不受賄賂，	¹⁷For the LORD, your God, is the God of gods, the LORD of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who has no favorites, accepts no bribes;
¹⁸為孤兒、寡婦主持正義，友愛外方人，供給他們食糧和衣服的天主。	¹⁸who executes justice for the orphan and the widow, and befriends the alien, feeding and clothing him.
¹⁹為此，你們也應友愛外方人，因為你們在埃及也曾做過外方人。	¹⁹So you too must befriend the alien, for you were once aliens yourselves in the land of Egypt.
²⁰你應敬畏上主你的天主，事奉依賴他，奉他的名起誓。	²⁰The LORD, your God, shall you fear, and him shall you serve; hold fast to him and swear by his name.
²¹他是你的光榮，是你的天主，是他為你做了你親眼所見的奇異可畏的事。	²¹He is your glory, he, your God, who has done for you those great and terrible things which your own eyes have seen.
²²你的祖先下到埃及時，總共不過七十人，現在上主你的天主卻使你多得有如天上的繁星。	²²Your ancestors went down to Egypt seventy strong, and now the LORD, your God, has made you as numerous as the stars of the sky.
