| 1梅瑟與以色列的長老吩咐人民說：「你們應遵守我今天吩咐你們的一切命令。 |
1Then Moses, with the elders of Israel, gave the people this order: "Keep all these commandments which I enjoin on you today. |
| 2在你們過約但河，進入上主你的天主賜給你的土地的那一天，應豎立幾塊大石，塗上石灰； |
2On the day you cross the Jordan into the land which the LORD, your God, is giving you, set up some large stones and coat them with plaster. |
| 3在你過河進入上主你的天主賜給你的地方，即上主你祖先的天主許給你的流奶流蜜的地方之後，要立即將這法律的一切話刻在上面。 |
3Also write on them, at the time you cross, all the words of this law, that you may thus enter into the land flowing with milk and honey, which the LORD, your God, and the God of your fathers, is giving you as he promised you. |
| 4所以，你們一過了約但河，就該照我今日吩咐你們的，在厄巴耳山上豎立這些石頭，塗上石灰； |
4When, moreover, you have crossed the Jordan, besides setting up on Mount Ebal these stones concerning which I command you today, and coating them with plaster, |
| 5並在那裏給上主你的天主建築一座祭壇，一座未用斧鑿的石頭修的祭壇； |
5you shall also build to the LORD, your God, an altar made of stones that no iron tool has touched. |
| 6應用未加人工的石頭建築上主你的天主的祭壇，在上面給上主你的天主奉獻全燔祭， |
6You shall make this altar of the LORD, your God, with undressed stones, and shall offer on it holocausts to the LORD, your God. |
| 7祭獻和平祭，並在那裏設宴，在上主你的天主面前歡樂。 |
7You shall also sacrifice peace offerings and eat them there, making merry before the LORD, your God. |
| 8在這些石頭上，應清清楚楚刻上這法律的一切話。」 |
8 On the stones you shall inscribe all the words of this law very clearly." |
| 9梅瑟和肋未司祭對全以色列人說：「以色列人！你們應靜默細聽：你今天既成了上主你的天主的人民， |
9Moses, with the levitical priests, then said to all Israel: "Be silent, O Israel, and listen! This day you have become the people of the LORD, your God. |
| 10就應聽從上主你的天主的話，遵行我今日給你吩咐的上主的誡命和法令。」 |
10You shall therefore hearken to the voice of the LORD, your God, and keep his commandments and statutes which I enjoin on you today." |
| 11梅瑟在那一天又吩咐人民說： |
11That same day Moses gave the people this order: |
| 12「你們過了約但河以後，應站在革黎斤山上祝福人民的，是西默盎、肋未、猶大、依撒加爾、若瑟和本雅明； |
12"When you cross the Jordan, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph and Benjamin shall stand on Mount Gerizim to pronounce blessings over the people, |
| 13站在厄巴耳山上宣布詛咒的，是勒烏本、加得、阿協爾、則步隆、丹和納斐塔里。 |
13while Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan and Naphtali shall stand on Mount Ebal to pronounce curses. |
| 14肋未人應大聲向所有的以色列人喊說： |
14"The Levites shall proclaim aloud to all the men of Israel: |
| 15那製造上主所憎惡的雕像或鑄像，並將匠人的作品，放在暗處的人，是可咒罵的。全體人民應答說：阿們。 |
15 'Cursed be the man who makes a carved or molten idol--an abomination to the LORD, the product of a craftsman's hands--and sets it up in secret!' And all the people shall answer, 'Amen!' |
| 16蔑視父親和母親的，是可咒罵的。全體人民應答說：阿們。 |
16'Cursed be he who dishonors his father or his mother!' And all the people shall answer, 'Amen!' |
| 17移動鄰人地界的，是可咒罵的。全體人民應答說：阿們。 |
17'Cursed be he who moves his neighbor's landmarks!' And all the people shall answer, 'Amen!' |
| 18領瞎子走錯路的，是可咒罵的。全體人民應答說：阿們。 |
18'Cursed be he who misleads a blind man on his way!' And all the people shall answer, 'Amen!' |
| 19侵犯外方人、孤兒和寡婦權利的，是可咒罵的。全體人民應答說：阿們。 |
19'Cursed be he who violates the rights of the alien, the orphan or the widow!' And all the people shall answer, 'Amen!' |
| 20與父親的妻子同寢的，是可咒罵的，因為他揭開了父親的衣襟。全體人民應答說：阿們。 |
20'Cursed be he who has relations with his father's wife, for he dishonors his father's bed!' And all the people shall answer, 'Amen!' |
| 21與獸交合的，是可咒罵的。全體人民應答說：阿們。 |
21'Cursed be he who has relations with any animal!' And all the people shall answer, 'Amen!' |
| 22與同父異母，或同母異父的姊妹同寢的，是可咒罵的。全體人民應答說：阿們。 |
22'Cursed be he who has relations with his sister or his half-sister!' And all the people shall answer, 'Amen!' |
| 23與岳母同寢的，是可咒罵的。全體人民應答說：阿們。 |
23'Cursed be he who has relations with his mother-in-law!' And all the people shall answer, 'Amen!' |
| 24暗殺鄰人的，是可咒罵的。全體人民應答說：阿們。 |
24'Cursed be he who slays his neighbor in secret!' And all the people shall answer, 'Amen!' |
| 25接受賄賂去殺害無辜的，是可咒罵的。全體人民應答說：阿們。 |
25'Cursed be he who accepts payment for slaying an innocent man!' And all the people shall answer, 'Amen!' |
| 26不堅持這法律的話而執行的，是可咒罵的。全體人民應答說：阿們。 |
26'Cursed be he who fails to fulfill any of the provisions of this law!' And all the people shall answer, 'Amen!' |
