| 1這事以後，我看見了四位天使，站在大地的四角上，握住地上的四股風，不讓風吹向大地、海洋和各種樹木。 |
1 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth so that no wind could blow on land or sea or against any tree. |
| 2我又看見了另一位天使，從太陽出升之地上來，拿着永生天主的印，大聲向那領了傷害大地和海洋權柄的四位天使呼喊， |
2Then I saw another angel come up from the East, holding the seal of the living God. He cried out in a loud voice to the four angels who were given power to damage the land and the sea, |
| 3說：「你們不可傷害大地、海洋和樹木，等我們在我們天主的眾僕額上，先蓋上印。」 |
3"Do not damage the land or the sea or the trees until we put the seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God." |
| 4以後，我聽見蓋了印的數目：在以色列子孫各支派中蓋了印的，共有十四萬四千。 |
4I heard the number of those who had been marked with the seal, one hundred and forty-four thousand marked from every tribe of the Israelites: |
| 5由猶大支派中蓋上印的有一萬二千；勒烏本支派一萬二千；加得支派一萬二千； |
5twelve thousand were marked from the tribe of Judah, twelve thousand from the tribe of Reuben, twelve thousand from the tribe of Gad, |
| 6阿協爾支派一萬二千；納斐塔里支派一萬二千；默納協支派一萬二千； |
6twelve thousand from the tribe of Asher, twelve thousand from the tribe of Naphtali, twelve thousand from the tribe of Manasseh, |
| 7西默盎支派一萬二千；肋未支派一萬二千；依撒加爾支派一萬二千； |
7twelve thousand from the tribe of Simeon, twelve thousand from the tribe of Levi, twelve thousand from the tribe of Issachar, |
| 8則步隆支派一萬二千；若瑟支派一萬二千；由本雅明支派中蓋上印的有一萬二千。 |
8twelve thousand from the tribe of Zebulun, twelve thousand from the tribe of Joseph, and twelve thousand were marked from the tribe of Benjamin. |
| 9在這些事以後，我看見有一大夥群眾，沒有人能夠數清，是來自各邦國、各支派、各民族、各異語的，他們都站在寶座和羔羊面前，身穿白衣，手持棕櫚枝， |
9After this I had a vision of a great multitude, which no one could count, from every nation, race, people, and tongue. They stood before the throne and before the Lamb, wearing white robes and holding palm branches in their hands. |
| 10大聲呼喊說：「救恩來自那坐在寶座上的我們的天主，並來自羔羊！」 |
10They cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation comes from our God, who is seated on the throne, and from the Lamb." |
| 11於是所有站在寶座、長老和那四個活物周圍的天使，在寶座前俯伏於地，朝拜天主， |
11All the angels stood around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They prostrated themselves before the throne, worshiped God, |
| 12說：「阿們。願讚頌、光榮、智慧、稱謝、尊威、權能和勇毅，全歸於我們的天主，至於無窮之世。阿們。」 |
12and exclaimed: "Amen. Blessing and glory, wisdom and thanksgiving, honor, power, and might be to our God forever and ever. Amen." |
| 13長老中有一位問我說：「這些穿白衣的人是誰？他們是從那裏來的？」 |
13Then one of the elders spoke up and said to me, "Who are these wearing white robes, and where did they come from?" |
| 14我回答他說：「我主，你知道。」於是他告訴我說：「這些人是由大災難中來的，他們曾在羔羊的血中洗淨了自己的衣裳，使衣裳雪白， |
14I said to him, "My lord, you are the one who knows." He said to me, "These are the ones who have survived the time of great distress; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. |
| 15因此，他們得站在天主的寶座前，且在他的殿宇內日夜事奉他；那坐在寶座上的，也必要住在他們中間。 |
15"For this reason they stand before God's throne and worship him day and night in his temple. The one who sits on the throne will shelter them. |
| 16他們再也不餓，再也不渴，烈日和任何炎熱，再也不損傷他們， |
16They will not hunger or thirst anymore, nor will the sun or any heat strike them. |
| 17因為，那在寶座中間的羔羊要牧放他們，要領他們到生命的水泉那裏；天主也要從他們的眼上拭去一切淚痕。」 |
17For the Lamb who is in the center of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to springs of life-giving water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes." |
