| 1在那些日子内，希则克雅患病垂危，阿摩兹的儿子依撒意亚来看他，对他说：「上主这样说：快料理你的家务，因为你快要死，不能久活了。」 | 1In those days Hezekiah fell mortally ill and the prophet Isaiah, son of Amoz, went to him with a message from Yahweh, "Put your house in order for you shall die; you shall not live." |
| 2希则克雅就转面向墙，恳求上主说： | 2Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to Yahweh, |
| 3「上主，求你记忆我如何怀着忠诚齐全的心，在你面前行走；如何作了你视为正义的事。」然后希则克雅放声大哭。 | 3"Ah, Yahweh! Remember how I have walked before you in truth and wholeheartedly, and have done what is good in your sight." And Hezekiah wept bitterly. |
| 4依撒意亚出来，还没有走到中院，上主的话传于他说： | 4Isaiah had still not reached the central courtyard when the word of Yahweh came to him, |
| 5「你回去，告诉我人民的领袖希则克雅说：上主，你祖先达味的天主这样说：我听见了你的祈祷，看见了你的眼泪。看，我必要治好你，第三天你就能上上主的殿。 | 5"Go back and tell Hezekiah, the ruler of my people, what Yahweh, the God of his father David, says: "I have heard your prayer and I have seen your tears. And now I will cure you. On the third day you will go up to the house of Yahweh. |
| 6我要在你的寿数上多加十五年，且由亚述王手中拯救你和这座城；为了我自己和我的仆人达味，我必保护这座城。」 | 6See! I am adding fifteen years to your life and I will save you and this city from the power of the king of Assyria. I will defend it for my sake and for the sake of David my servant." |
| 7依撒意亚遂吩咐说：「拿一块无花果饼来。」人就拿来，贴在疮口上；君王就好了。 | 7Isaiah then said, "Bring a fig cake to rub on the ulcer and let Hezekiah be cured!" |
| 8希则克雅对依撒意亚说：「有什么征兆，上主要治好我，第三天我就能上上主的殿？」 | 8Hezekiah said to Isaiah, "What shall be the sign that Yahweh will heal me and that I shall go up to the House of Yahweh within three days?" |
| 9依撒意亚回答说：「这就是上主给你的征兆，上主必实践他所说的话：你要日影向前进十度，还是要往后退十度？」 | 9Isaiah answered, "This shall be the sign for you in Yahweh's name, that Yahweh shall do what he has said: Do you wish the shadow of the second story to go forward ten steps or to go back?" |
| 10希则克雅答说：「日影向前进十度太容易，我不要；我要日影，倒退十度。」 | 10Hezekiah said, "It is easy for the shadow to lengthen ten steps, but it shall be wonderful if the shadow goes back ten steps." |
| 11先知依撒意亚呼求上主，上主就使射在阿哈次日晷上的日影倒退了十度。 | 11The prophet Isaiah called on Yahweh, and Yahweh made the shadow go back ten steps, line by line, on the ten steps it had covered on the stairway. |
| 12那时，巴比伦王巴拉丹的儿子默洛达客巴拉丹派人来见希则克雅，呈上书信和礼物，因为他听说希则克雅患病又好了。 | 12At that time Merodach-baladan, son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a gift to Hezekiah after hearing that he was recovering from an illness. |
| 13希则克雅非常高兴，就叫使者参观自己的宝库、金银、香料、珍膏和武器库，以及他府库内所有的财宝：凡他宫中和全国内所有的，希则克雅没有一样不叫他们不看的。 | 13Hezekiah rejoiced, so he showed the envoys his treasure house - the silver, the gold, the spices, the fragrant oils, his weapons and all that was in the treasury. There was nothing in this palace, or in all he possessed that Hezekiah did not show. |
| 14依撒意亚先知遂来见希则克雅，对他说：「这些人说了什么？他们是从什么地方到你这里来的？」希则克雅回答说：「他们是从远方，从巴比伦来的。」 | 14Then the prophet Isaiah went to the king and said, "What did these men say? Where did they come from?" The king answered, "They have come from a far country, from Babylon." |
| 15先知又问说：「他们在你宫中看见了什么？」希则克雅回答说：「凡我宫中所有的，他们都看了；凡我府库内所有的，没有一样我不叫他们不看的。」 | 15Isaiah said, "And what have they seen in your house?" The king answered, "They have seen all that is in my house; there is nothing in my treasuries that I did not show them." |
| 16依撒意亚遂对希则克雅说：「你听上主的话罢！ | 16So Isaiah said to the king, "Listen to this word of Yahweh: |
| 17日子要到，凡你宫中所有的，及你祖先直到今日所积蓄的，都要被带到巴比伦去，什么也不会留下：上主说。 | 17The days are coming when all that is in your house and all that your fathers have stored up to this day shall be taken to Babylon; nothing shall be left, says Yahweh. |
| 18此外，由你所出，即你所生的子孙中，也有一些要被掳去，在巴比伦王宫内充当太监。 | 18Some of your own sons who are born of your blood shall be taken away, and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon." |
| 19希则克雅对依撒意亚说：「你所说的上主的话是合理的！」继而说：「惟愿我有生之日有平安，有安全！」 | 19Hezekiah answered Isaiah, "What you say is a good word from Yahweh"; for he thought, "What does it matter just so I have peace and security in my own lifetime?" |
| 20希则克雅其余的事蹟，他的英勇和他怎样凿池筑沟，引水入城的事，都记载在《犹大列王实录》上。 | 20Now the rest regarding Hezekiah and all about his bravery, how he built the great reservoir and how it supplied water to the city is written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah. |
| 21希则克雅与他的列祖同眠，他的儿子默纳舍继位为王。 | 21When Hezekiah slept with his fathers, his son Manasseh reigned in his place. |
