申命纪	Deuteronomy
¹如果一人娶了妻，占有她之后，在她身上发现了什么难堪的事，因而不喜悦她，便给她写了休书，交在她手中，叫她离开他的家，	¹If a man marries a woman, and then dislikes her because of some notable defect he discovers in her, he may write a certificate of divorce, give it to the woman, and send her out of his house.
²而这女子走出了他的家，又去嫁给了另一人为妻，	²If afterwards she becomes the wife of another man
³如果后夫又憎恶她，给她写了休书，交在她手中，叫她离开他的家，或者娶她为妻的后夫死了，	³and he also dislikes her and sends her out with a certificate of divorce; or, if this second man who took her to be his wife dies,
⁴那么，那休她的前夫，在她受了污辱之后，不能再娶她为妻，因为这在上主面前是可憎恶的事；你不可使上主你的天主赐给你作产业的土地陷于罪恶。	⁴the first husband who sent her away cannot take her back as wife, since she has been defiled. It is an abomination in the eyes of Yahweh for him to take her back. You shall not defile the land which Yahweh will give you for an inheritance.
⁵人娶了新妇，不应从军出征，也不可派他担任什么职务；他应在家享受一年自由，使他新娶的妻子快活。	⁵The newly married man shall not go to war or be given other public duties. He shall be exempt from everything throughout the year, that he may stay in his house and make his wife happy.
⁶不可拿人的磨，或上面的一块磨石作抵押，因为这无异是拿人的性命作抵押。	⁶Mill and grindstone shall not be taken as a pledge. Can life be taken as a pledge?
⁷若发现一人拐带了以色列子民中的一个兄弟，叫他充当奴隶，或将他贩卖于人，这拐子应处死刑：这样你由你中间铲除了这邪恶。	⁷If a man is caught kidnapping an Israelite, that is to say, one of his brothers, to sell him as a slave, the kidnapper must die. So shall you banish evil from the midst of your people.
⁸遇有癞病的情形，应全照肋未司祭指教你们的，谨慎遵行。我怎样吩咐了他们，你们就怎样遵守执行。	⁸Be careful of contagious leprosy. Obey and put into practice what the Levite priests tell you to do; fulfill what I commanded them.
⁹你应记得你们出埃及后，在途中，上主你的天主对米黎盎所做的事。	⁹Remember what Yahweh, your God, did to Miriam, when the people were on the way coming out of Egypt.
¹⁰几时你借给你近人什么，不可走进他家索取抵押；	¹⁰When you lend anything to your neighbor, you shall not go into his house to take anything as pledge.
¹¹应站在外面，等那借贷的人把抵押给你拿出来。	¹¹Wait outside, and he shall come out of the house to give you the pledge.
¹²倘若他是个贫苦人，你不可带着他的抵押去睡觉。	¹²If you have taken as pledge the cloak of a poor man, you shall not keep it overnight;
¹³反之，在日落时，务要将抵押还给他，好叫他睡在自己的外衣里祝福你；这在上主你的天主面前，算是你的功德。	¹³you shall return it to him when the sun goes down that he may sleep in his cloak. Then the poor shall bless you and you shall be righteous in the eyes of Yahweh, your God.
¹⁴贫苦可怜的佣工，不论是你的一个兄弟，或是你城镇地区内的一个外方人，你不应欺压他，	¹⁴Do not exploit the lowly and the poor daily-wage earner, whether he be one of your brothers or a foreigner whom you find in your land in any of your cities.
¹⁵应在当天，交给他工钱，不要等到日落；因为他贫苦，他急需工钱用，免得他对你不满而呼求上主，你就不免有罪了。	¹⁵Pay him daily before the sun goes down, because he is poor and he depends on his earnings. Then he will not cry to Yahweh against you, and you will have no sin.
¹⁶不可为儿子的罪处死父亲，亦不可为父亲的罪处死儿子：每人应为自己的罪被处死刑。	¹⁶The fathers shall not be put to death for the sin of their children, nor the children for the sin of their fathers. Everyone must pay for his own sin.
¹⁷不可侵犯外方人或孤儿的权利，不可拿寡妇的衣服作抵押；	¹⁷Do not violate the right of the foreigner, or of the orphan, or take as pledge the clothing of a widow.
¹⁸应记得你在埃及曾做过奴隶，上主你的天主曾将你由那里救出：为此我吩咐你应遵行这条命令。	¹⁸Remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and Yahweh, your God, rescued you. This is why I command you to do this.
¹⁹当你在田间收割庄稼时，如在田中忘下了一捆，不要再回去拾取，要留下给外方人、孤儿和寡妇，好叫上主你的天主在你做的一切事上祝福你。	¹⁹When you harvest the wheat in your fields, if you drop a sheaf, do not return to pick it up, but let it be there for the foreigner, the orphan and the widow. Yahweh will bless you for this in all your work.
²⁰当你打橄榄树时，不要再回去打树枝上所剩的，应留给外方人、孤儿和寡妇。	²⁰When you harvest your olives, do not go back to beat the trees another time, what is left shall be for the foreigner, the orphan and the widow.
²¹当你收获葡萄时，不要再摘取所剩下的，应留给外方人、孤儿和寡妇。	²¹When you gather the grapes in your vineyard, do not return to look for what has been left. This will be the share of the foreigner, the orphan and the widow.
²²总应记得你在埃及地曾做过奴隶：为此我吩咐你应遵行这条命令。	²²Remember that you were a slave in Egypt. This is why, I command you to do this.
