¹上主向梅瑟说：「看，我使你在法郎前像神一样，你的哥哥亚郎将作你的代言人。	¹Yahweh said to Moses, "See, I have made you like a god in Pharaoh's eyes; and Aaron, your brother, will be your prophet.
²凡我吩咐你的一切，你要告诉你的哥哥亚郎，要他对法郎讲话，叫他放以色列子民离开他的国境。	²You will tell Aaron all that I command you, and he will tell Pharaoh to let the people of Israel leave the country.
³我却要使法郎心硬，为此在埃及国要增多我的奇蹟和异事。	³But I will make him stubborn and although I multiply my signs and miracles,
⁴但因法郎不听从你们，我要向埃及伸手，藉严厉的惩罚，将我的军队，我的百姓以色列子民，从埃及国领出来。	⁴he will not listen to you. Then I will use my power and lead my armies, my people, the sons of Israel out of Egypt by means of great punishments.
⁵当我向埃及人伸手，将以色列子民从埃及人中间领出来的时候，他们要承认我是上主。」	⁵Then will the Egyptians know that I am Yahweh when they see with what power I bring the people of Israel out of their country."
⁶梅瑟和亚郎就受命行事；上主怎样吩咐，他们就怎样行了。	⁶Moses and Aaron did exactly what Yahweh had commanded.
⁷当他们去与法郎会谈的时候，梅瑟八十岁，亚郎八十三岁。	⁷Moses was eighty and Aaron eighty-three when they spoke to Pharaoh.
⁸上主对梅瑟和亚郎说：	⁸Yahweh spoke to Moses and Aaron saying,
⁹「如果法郎要求你们说：你们显个奇蹟，给你们作证罢！你就吩咐亚郎说：将你的棍杖扔在法郎面前，棍杖就会变成一条蛇。」	⁹"When Pharaoh speaks to you and tells you to perform a miracle to prove the truth of what you say, you will say to Aaron: 'Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh, and it will become a snake.'"
¹⁰梅瑟和亚郎就去见法郎，照上主的吩咐作了：亚郎将棍杖扔在法郎和他臣仆面前，棍杖就变成了一条蛇。	¹⁰Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did what Yahweh had commanded. Aaron threw his staff before Pharaoh and his ministers, and it became a snake.
¹¹法郎也将他的智者和术士召来，这些埃及的巫士也用他们的巫术作了同样的事：	¹¹Pharaoh then summoned wise men and magicians, and they, too, the magicians of Egypt, did the same by means of their secret arts.
¹²他们每人扔下自己的棍杖，也都变成了蛇，但亚郎的棍杖却吞了他们的棍杖。	¹²Each one threw his staff down and the staffs became serpents. But Aaron's staff swallowed the staffs of the magicians.
¹³法郎仍然心硬，不肯听他们的话，正如上主所说的。	¹³However, Pharaoh was obstinate and he did not listen to them, as Yahweh had said.
¹⁴上主对梅瑟说：「法郎硬了心，拒绝释放百姓。	¹⁴Yahweh said to Moses, "Pharaoh is stubborn; he has refused to let the people leave.
¹⁵明天早晨你去见法郎。他去水边的时候，你要站在尼罗河边迎住他；手中拿着那根变过蛇的棍杖。	¹⁵So you will go to Pharaoh in the morning, when he goes to the water. Wait for him on the bank of the river and hold in your hand the staff that turned into a serpent.
¹⁶你对他说：上主，希伯来人的天主打发我来见你说：你应放我的百姓到旷野中去崇拜我；但到现在你仍没有听从。	¹⁶You will say to him, "Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, sent me to say to you: 'Let my people go to worship me in the desert; but so far you have not listened.
¹⁷上主这样说：看，我要用手中拿的棍杖击打河水，水就变成血，如此你必承认，我是上主。	¹⁷By this you shall learn that I am Yahweh: Look, I will strike the waters of the Nile with the staff I have in my hand, and they will turn into blood!
¹⁸河中的鱼都要死，河水都要腥臭，埃及人不能再喝河中的水。」	¹⁸The fish in the river will die and the Nile will become foul, and the Egyptians will no longer be able to drink its water."
¹⁹上主对梅瑟说：「你向亚郎说：拿起你的棍杖，将手伸在埃及的水上，即伸在河、沟渠、池沼和一切水塘之上，水都要变成血；如此埃及全国，连木器石器中的水也都要变成血。」	¹⁹Yahweh said to Moses, "Say to Aaron: 'Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, rivers, canals, ponds and pools of water; and they will turn into blood. There will be blood throughout Egypt, even in vessels of wood and stone.'"
²⁰梅瑟和亚郎就照上主的吩咐作了：亚郎在法郎和他臣仆的面前，举起棍杖一打河水，所有的河水都变成了血；	²⁰Moses and Aaron did as Yahweh had commanded. Aaron raised his staff and struck the waters of the Nile, in the presence of Pharaoh and his ministers, and all the water in the Nile turned to blood.
²¹河中的鱼都死了，河水都腥臭不堪，埃及人不能再喝河中的水；埃及遍地是血。	²¹The fish in the river died and the Nile was contaminated so that the Egyptians could no longer drink the water of the Nile. There was blood all over the country of Egypt.
²²埃及的巫士用他们的巫术也行了同样的事，因此法郎仍旧心硬，不肯听信梅瑟和亚郎，正像上主所说的。	²²The Egyptian magicians, however, could do the same with their secret crafts, and Pharaoh remained unmoved; and, as Yahweh had foretold, he would not listen to Moses and Aaron.
²³法郎转身回到宫中，没有把这事放在心上。	²³Pharaoh returned to his house as if nothing of importance had happened.
²⁴因为全埃及的人不能喝河中的水，便在河的附近掘水喝。	²⁴And yet all the Egyptians were digging near the Nile for water to drink because they could not drink from the river.
²⁵上主击打河水后，满了七天，	²⁵Seven days passed after Yahweh had struck the Nile.
²⁶上主又对梅瑟说：「你去见法郎向他说：上主这样说：你该放我的百姓走，好叫他们去崇拜我。	²⁶Yahweh said to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh and tell him that Yahweh says, 'Let my people go to worship me!
²⁷你若拒绝不放，我要用虾蟆打击你的全境。	²⁷If you refuse to let them leave, I will punish the country with a plague of frogs.
²⁸河中要滋生虾蟆，牠们要上来进入你的宫殿和卧室，爬上你的床榻，进入你臣仆和百姓的房屋，进入你的炉灶和抟面盆。	²⁸The Nile will teem with frogs. They will invade your house, your bedroom and your bed, your servants' and your people's houses, your ovens and your kneading bowls.
²⁹这些虾蟆要爬到你、你百姓、你臣仆的身上。」	²⁹Over you and your people the frogs will climb."
