创世纪	Genesis
¹天主想起了诺厄和同他在方舟内的一切野兽和牲畜，遂使风吹过大地，水渐渐退落；	¹Then God remembered Noah and all the animals and cattle that were with him in the ark. God made a wind blow over the earth and the waters subsided.
²深渊的泉源和天上的水闸已关闭，雨也由天上停止降落，	²Then the fountains of the deep and the floodgates of the heavens were closed and the downpour from the heavens held back.
³于是水逐渐由地上退去；过了一百五十天，水就低落了。	³The waters receded from the earth and after one hundred and fifty days the waters had abated.
⁴七月十七日，方舟停在阿辣辣特山上。	⁴In the seventh month, in the seventeenth day of the month, the ark rested on Mount Ararat.
⁵洪水继续减退，直到十月；十月一日，许多山顶都露出来。	⁵The waters continued to recede until the tenth month. On the first day of the tenth month the mountain tops could be seen.
⁶过了四十天，诺厄开了在方舟上做的窗户，	⁶At the end of the forty days Noah opened the window of the ark that he had built
⁷放了一只乌鸦；乌鸦飞去又飞回，直到地上的水都干了。	⁷and let the raven out. This went off and kept flying to and fro until the waters had dried up from the earth.
⁸诺厄等待了七天，又放出了一只鸽子，看看水是否已由地面退尽。	⁸Then Noah let out the dove to see if the waters were receding from the earth.
⁹但是，因为全地面上还有水，鸽子找不着落脚的地方，遂飞回方舟；诺厄伸手将牠接入方舟内。	⁹But the dove could not find a place to set its foot and flew back to him in the ark for the waters still covered the surface of the whole earth. So Noah stretched out his hand, took hold of it and brought it back to himself in the ark.
¹⁰再等了七天，他由方舟中又放出一只鸽子，	¹⁰He waited some more days and again sent the dove out from the ark.
¹¹傍晚时，那只鸽子飞回他那里，看，嘴里啣著一根绿的橄榄树枝；诺厄于是知道，水已由地上退去。	¹¹This time the dove came back to him in the evening with a fresh olive branch in its beak. Then Noah knew the waters had receded from the earth.
¹²诺厄又等了七天再放出一只鸽子；这只鸽子没有回来。	¹²He waited seven more days and let the dove loose, but it did not return to him any more.
¹³诺厄六百零一岁，正月初一，地上的水都干了，诺厄就撤开方舟的顶观望，看见地面已干。	¹³In the year six hundred and one, in the first month, on the first day of the month, the waters dried up from the earth. Noah then removed the covering from the ark and looked out and saw that the surface of the earth was dry.
¹⁴二月二十七日，大地全干了。	¹⁴On the twenty-seventh day of the second month, the earth was dry.
¹⁵天主于是吩咐诺厄说：	¹⁵Then God said to Noah,
¹⁶「你和你的妻子、儿子及儿媳，同你由方舟出来；	¹⁶"Come out of the ark, you and your wife, your sons and their wives with you.
¹⁷所有同你在方舟内的有血肉的生物：飞禽、牲畜和各种地上的爬虫，你都带出来，叫他们在地上滋生，在地上生育繁殖。」	¹⁷Bring out with you all flesh, that is, all the animals who are with you, all things of flesh; birds, cattle and all that crawls on the earth. Let them abound on the earth, be fruitful and increase in number."
¹⁸诺厄遂同他的儿子、妻子及儿媳出来；	¹⁸So Noah went out, with his sons, his wife and his sons' wives with him.
¹⁹所有的爬虫、飞禽和地上所有的动物，各依其类出了方舟。	¹⁹All the animals, all the birds, all that creeps on the earth, came out of the ark, one kind after another.
²⁰诺厄给上主筑了一座祭坛，拿各种洁净的牲畜和洁净的飞禽，献在祭坛上，作为全燔祭。	²⁰Noah built an altar to Yahweh and, taking some of all the clean animals and all the clean birds, he offered burnt offerings on it.
²¹上主闻到了馨香，心里说：「我再不为人的缘故咒骂大地，因为人心的思念从小就邪恶；我也再不照我所作的打击一切生物了，	²¹Yahweh smelled the pleasing aroma and said to himself: "Never again will I curse the earth because of man, even though his heart is set on evil from childhood; never again will I strike down every living creature as I have done.
²²只愿大地存在之日，稼穑寒暑，冬夏昼夜，循环不息。」	²²As long as the earth lasts, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease to be."
