¹天主祝福诺厄和他的儿子们说：「你们要滋生繁殖，充满大地。	¹God blessed Noah and his sons and he said to them, "Be fruitful, multiply and fill the earth.
²地上的各种野兽，天空的各种飞鸟，地上的各种爬虫和水中的各种游鱼，都要对你们表示惊恐畏惧：这一切都已交在你们手中。	²Fear and dread of you will be in all the animals of the earth and in all the birds of the air, upon everything that creeps on the ground and all the fish of the sea. They are given to you.
³凡有生命的动物，都可作你们的食物；我将这一切赐给你们，有如以前赐给你们蔬菜一样；	³Everything that moves and lives shall be food for you; as I gave you the green plants, I have now given you everything.
⁴凡有生命，带血的肉，你们不可吃；	⁴Only you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is its blood.
⁵并且，我要追讨害你们生命的血债：向一切野兽追讨，向人，向为弟兄的人，追讨人命。	⁵But I will also demand a reckoning for your lifeblood. I will demand it from every animal; and from man, too, I will demand a reckoning for the life of his fellow man.
⁶凡流人血的，他的血也要为人所流，因为人是照天主的肖像造的。	⁶He who sheds the blood of man shall have his blood shed by man; for in the image of God has God made man.
⁷你们要生育繁殖，在地上滋生繁衍。」	⁷As for you, be fruitful and increase. Abound on the earth and be master of it."
⁸天主对诺厄和他的儿子们说：	⁸God spoke to Noah and his son,
⁹「看，我现在与你们和你们未来的后裔立约，	⁹"See I am making a covenant with you and with your descendants after you;
¹⁰并与同你们在一起的一切生物：飞鸟、牲畜和一切地上野兽，即凡由方舟出来的一切地上生物立约。	¹⁰also with every living animal with you: birds, cattle, that is, with every living creature of the earth that came out of the ark.
¹¹我与你们立约：凡有血肉的，以后决不再受洪水湮灭，再没有洪水来毁灭大地。」	¹¹I establish my covenant with you. Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood, and never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth."
¹²天主说：「这是我在我与你们以及同你们在一起的一切生物之间，立约的永远标记：	¹²God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I make between me and you, and every animal living with you for all future generations.
¹³我把虹霓放在云间，作我与大地之间立约的标记。	¹³I set my bow in the clouds and it will be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
¹⁴几时我兴云遮盖大地，云中要出现虹霓，	¹⁴When I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds,
¹⁵那时我便想起我与你们以及各种属血肉的生物之间所立的盟约：这样水就不会再成为洪水，毁灭一切血肉的生物。	¹⁵I will remember the covenant between me and you and every kind of living creature, so that never again will floodwaters destroy all flesh.
¹⁶几时虹霓在云间出现，我一看见，就想起在天主与地上各种属血肉的生物之间所立的永远盟约。」	¹⁶When the rainbow is in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of every kind that exists on the earth."
¹⁷天主对诺厄说：「这就是我在我与地上一切有血肉的生物之间，所立的盟约的标记。」	¹⁷God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the covenant I have made between me and all that has life on the earth."
¹⁸诺厄的儿子由方舟出来的，有闪、含、和耶斐特。含是客纳罕的父亲。	¹⁸The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham and Japheth. Ham is the ancestor of Canaan.
¹⁹这三人是诺厄的儿子；人类就由这三人分布天下。	¹⁹These were Noah's three sons and from them the whole earth was peopled.
²⁰诺厄原是农夫，遂开始种植葡萄园。	²⁰Noah, a man of the soil, set about planting a vineyard.
²¹一天他喝酒喝醉了，就在自己的帐幕内脱去了衣服。	²¹He drank the wine, became drunk, and lay uncovered in the middle of his tent.
²²客纳罕的父亲含看见了父亲赤身露体，遂去告诉外面的两个兄弟。	²²When Ham, Canaan's ancestor, saw his father's nakedness, he told his two brothers outside the tent.
²³闪和耶斐特二人于是拿了件外衣，搭在肩上，倒退着走进去，盖上父亲的裸体。他们的脸背着，没有看见父亲的裸体。	²³But Shem and Japheth took a cloak, put it on their shoulders, the two of them, then walked backwards and covered their father's nakedness. Their faces were turned away and they did not see their father's nakedness.
²⁴诺厄醒了后，知道了小儿对他作的事，	²⁴When Noah awoke from his wine he knew what his youngest son had done to him.
²⁵就说：「客纳罕是可咒骂的，给兄弟当最下贱的奴隶。」	²⁵And he said, "Cursed be Canaan! He shall be his brothers' meanest slave!"
²⁶又说：「上主，闪的天主，应受赞美，客纳罕应作他的奴隶。	²⁶He then added: "Blessed be Yahweh, God of Shem, let Canaan be his slave!
²⁷愿天主扩展耶斐特，使他住在闪的帐幕内；客纳罕应作他的奴隶。」	²⁷May God extend (the territory of) Japheth, and may he live in the tents of Shem! And may Canaan be his slave!"
²⁸洪水以后，诺厄又活了三百五十年。	²⁸Noah lived three hundred and fifty years after the flood.
²⁹诺厄共活了九百五十岁死了。	²⁹In all Noah lived for nine hundred and fifty years. Then he died.
