| 1那时，巴比伦王巴拉丹的儿子默洛达客巴拉丹给希则克雅呈上书信和礼物，因为他听说希则克雅患病好了。 | 1At that time MerodachBaladan, son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a gift to Hezekiah after hearing that he was recovering from an illness. |
| 2希则克雅对他们非常高兴，就叫使者参观自己的宝库、金银、香料、珍膏和武器，以及他府库内所有的财宝：凡他宫中和全国内所有的，希则克雅没有不叫他们参观的。 | 2Hezekiah was pleased and showed the envoys all that was in his treasure house, the silver, gold, spices and fine oil, his entire armory and all that was in his treasury. In fact there was nothing in his palace or in his kingdom that Hezekiah did not show them. |
| 3依撒意亚先知来到希则克雅王前对他说：「这些人说了什么？他们是从什么地方到你这里来的？」希则克雅回答说：「他们是从远方，从巴比伦到我这里来的。」 | 3Isaiah the prophet came to Hezekiah and asked him, "What did these men say and from where did they come?" Hezekiah answered, "They came to me from a distant country - from Babylon." |
| 4先知又问说：「他们在你宫里看见了甚么？」希则克雅回答说：「凡我宫里所有的，他们都看了；凡我府库内所有的，没有一样我不叫他们不看的。」 | 4And Isaiah said, "What have they seen in your palace?" Hezekiah replied, "They have seen everything in my palace; there is nothing among my treasures that I did not show them." |
| 5依撒意亚遂对希则克雅说：「你听万军上主的话罢！ | 5Isaiah then said, "Hear this word of Yahweh, the God of hosts: |
| 6看，日子要到，凡宫中所有的，及你祖先直到今日所积蓄的，都要被带到巴比伦去，什么都不会留下：上主说。 | 6Behold the days are coming when all that is in your palace, and which your fathers have treasured to this day, will be carried off to Babylon. Nothing will be left. |
| 7此外，由你所出，即你所生的子孙中，也有一些要被掳去，在巴比伦王的宫殿里充当太监。」 | 7And some of your descendants, born of you, will be taken and will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon." |
| 8希则克雅便对依撒意亚说：「你所说的上主的话很好。」他想：「只愿在我有生之日有平安，有安全！」 | 8Hezekiah then said to Isaiah, "The word of Yahweh which you have spoken to me is good!" For he thought: there will be peace and truth in my lifetime. |
