| 1我的气息已断，寿命已尽，而且坟墓已为我做好。 | 1My spirit is broken, my days are over and the grave awaits me. |
| 2我岂不是成了笑骂的对象？我的眼睛岂不是在酸苦中过夜？ | 2Mockers surround me; my eyes grow dim with nights of bitterness. |
| 3求你将我的抵押放在你那里！谁还敢与我击掌作保？ | 3Sponsor me, O God, since no one will support me. |
| 4因为你蒙蔽了他们的心，不叫他们明白，他们才不敢举起手来。 | 4You have closed their minds so they will not dare. |
| 5人请自己的朋友分享所有，但自己的子女却饿的眼目昏花。 | 5Who will help a friend when his sons are in need? |
| 6我成了人民取笑的资料，人人在我脸上可吐唾沬。 | 6I have been made everybody's byword, a man in whose face people spit. |
| 7我的眼睛因愁闷而昏花，我的肢体消失有如荫影。 | 7My eyes have grown dim with grief, my frame shrunken to a shadow. |
| 8正直人因此而惊异，无罪者愤起攻击恶人。 | 8At this, upright men are appalled, and the guiltless rail against the wicked. |
| 9义人坚持自己的道，手净的人倍增勇气。 | 9The righteous feel at ease and those with clean hands are strengthened. |
| 10你们众人，请你们再回来，但在你们中我找不到一个智者。 | 10But come on again, all of you; I will not find a single sage among you. |
| 11我的时日已过去，我志所谋，我心所爱，都已落空。 | 11My days are ended, my plans shattered, and so my heart desires |
| 12他们将黑夜变为白天，使光明靠近黑暗； | 12the night when it is day, the coming of light as soon as it darkens. |
| 13若是我还有希望，即以阴府为我的家；在幽暗之处，舖设我的床榻。 | 13Where is my hope? The grave is my home, in the darkness I spread out my bed, |
| 14我对墓穴说：你作我父！对蛆虫说：你作我母，我妹！ | 14I must call corruption "my father," and the worm "my mother" or "my sister." |
| 15我的希望究在何处？我的幸福，有谁注意？ | 15What can I wait for, and who will see any hope for me? |
| 16这一切只有和我一同降入阴府，一同安息在灰尘中。 | 16Will it go down to the bars of death, shall we descend together into the dust? |
