| 1「我实实在在告诉你们：凡不由门进入羊栈，而由别处爬进去的，便是贼，是强盗。 | 1Truly, I say to you, anyone who does not enter the sheepfold by the gate, but climbs in some other way, is a thief and a robber. |
| 2由门进去的，才是羊的牧人。 | 2But the shepherd of the sheep enters by the gate. |
| 3看门的给他开门，羊听他的声音；他按着名字呼唤自己的羊，并引领出来。 | 3The keeper opens the gate to him and the sheep hear his voice; he calls each of his sheep by name and leads them out. |
| 4当他把羊放出来以后，就走在羊前面，羊也跟随他，因为认得他的声音。 | 4When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them and the sheep follow him for they know his voice. |
| 5羊决不跟随陌生人，反而逃避他，因为羊不认得陌生人的声音。」 | 5A stranger they will not follow, rather they will run away from him because they don't recognize a stranger's voice." |
| 6耶稣给他们讲了这个比喻，他们却不明白给他们所讲的是什么。 | 6Jesus used this comparison, but they did not understand what he was saying to them. |
| 7于是耶稣又对他们说：「我实实在在告诉你们：我是羊的门； | 7So Jesus said, "Truly, I say to you, I am the gate of the sheep. |
| 8凡在我以先来的，都是贼和强盗，羊没有听从他们。 | 8All who came were thieves and robbers, and the sheep did not hear them. |
| 9我就是门，谁若经过我进来，必得安全；可以进，可以出，可以找着草场。 | 9I am the gate. Whoever enters through me will be saved; he will go in and out freely and find food. |
| 10贼来，无非是为偷窃、杀害、毁灭；我来，却是为叫他们获得生命，且获得更丰富的生命。 | 10The thief comes to steal and kill and destroy, but I have come that they may have life, life in all its fullness. |
| 11我是善牧：善牧为羊舍掉自己的性命。 | 11I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. |
| 12佣工，因不是牧人，羊也不是他自己的，一看见狼来，便弃羊逃跑──狼就抓住羊，把羊赶散了， | 12Not so the hired hand or any other person who is not the shepherd and to whom the sheep do not belong. They abandon the sheep as soon as they see the wolf coming; then the wolf snatches and scatters the sheep. |
| 13因为他是佣工，对羊漠不关心。 | 13This is because the hired hand works for pay and cares nothing for the sheep. |
| 14我是善牧，我认识我的羊，我的羊也认识我， | 14I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, |
| 15正如父认识我，我也认识父一样；我并且为羊舍掉我的性命。 | 15as the Father knows me and I know the Father. Because of this I give my life for my sheep. |
| 16我还有别的羊，还不属于这一栈，我也该把他们引来，他们要听我的声音，这样，将只有一个羊群，一个牧人。 | 16I have other sheep that are not of this fold. These I have to lead as well, and they shall listen to my voice. Then there will be one flock since there is one Shepherd. |
| 17父爱我，因为我舍掉我的性命，为再取回它来： | 17The Father loves me because I lay down my life in order to take it up again. |
| 18谁也不能夺去我的性命，而是我甘心情愿舍掉它；我有权舍掉它，我也有权再取回它来：这是我由我父所接受的命令。」 | 18No one takes it from me, but I lay it down freely. It is mine to lay down and to take up again: this mission I received from my Father." |
| 19因了这些话，犹太人中间又发生了纷争； | 19Because of these words, the Jews were divided again. |
| 20他们中有许多人说：「他附魔发疯，为什么还听他呢？」 | 20Many of them said, "He has a demon and is out of his mind. Why listen to him?" |
| 21另有些人说：「这话不是附魔的人所能说的；难道魔鬼能开瞎子的眼睛么？」 | 21But others said, "One possessed doesn't speak in this way. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?" |
| 22那时，在耶路撒冷举行重建节，正是冬天。 | 22The time came for the feast of the Dedication. It was winter |
| 23耶稣徘徊于圣殿内撒罗满游廊下。 | 23and Jesus walked back and forth in the portico of Solomon. |
| 24犹太人围起他来，向他说：「你使我们的心神悬疑不定，要到几时呢？你如果是默西亚，就坦白告诉我们罢！」 | 24The Jews then gathered around him and said to him, "How long will you keep us in doubt? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly." |
| 25耶稣答复说：「我已告诉了你们，你们却不相信；我以我父的名所作的工作，为我作证， | 25Jesus answered, "I have already told you but you do not believe. |
| 26但你们还是不信，因为你们不是属于我的羊。 | 26The works I do in my Father's name proclaim who I am, but you don't believe because, as I said, you are not my sheep. |
| 27我的羊听我的声音，我也认识他们，他们也跟随我； | 27My sheep hear my voice and I know them; they follow me |
| 28我赐予他们永生，他们永远不会丧亡；谁也不能从我手中把他们夺去。 | 28and I give them eternal life. They shall never perish and no one will ever steal them from me. |
| 29我那赐给我羊群的父，超越一切，为此，谁也不能从我父手里将他们夺去。 | 29What the Father has given me is stronger than everything and no one can snatch it from the Father's hand. |
| 30我与父原是一体。」 | 30I and the Father are one." |
| 31犹太人又拿起石头来，要砸死他。 | 31The Jews then picked up stones to throw at him; |
| 32耶稣向他们说：「我赖我父给你们显示了许多善事，为了那一件，你们要砸死我呢？」 | 32so Jesus said, "I have openly done many good works among you which the Father gave me to do. For which of these do you stone me?" |
| 33犹太人回答说：「为了善事，我们不会砸死你；而是为了亵渎的话，因为你是人，却把你自己当作天主。」 | 33The Jews answered, "We are not stoning you for doing a good work but for insulting God; you are only a man and you make yourself God." |
| 34耶稣却向他们说：「在你们的法律上不是记载着：『我说过：你们是神』么？ | 34Then Jesus replied, "Is this not written in your Law: I said: you are gods? |
| 35如果，那些承受天主话的，天主尚且称他们为神──而经书是不能废弃的── | 35So those who received this word of God were called gods and the Scripture is always true. |
| 36那么，父所祝圣并派遣到世界上来的，因为说过：我是天主子，你们就说：你说亵渎的话么？ | 36Then what should be said of the one anointed and sent into the world by the Father? Am I insulting God when I say: 'I am the Son of God'? |
| 37假使我不作我父的工作，你们就不必信我； | 37If I am not doing the works of my Father, do not believe me. |
| 38但若是我作了，你们纵然不肯信我，至少要信这些工作，如此你们必定认出父在我内，我在父内。」 | 38But if I do them, even if you have no faith in me, believe because of the works I do, and know that the Father is in me and I in the Father." |
| 39他们又企图捉拿他，他却从他们手中走脱了。 | 39Again they tried to arrest him, but Jesus escaped from their hands. |
| 40耶稣又到约但河对岸，若翰先前施洗的地方去了，并住在那里。 | 40He went away again to the other side of the Jordan, to the place where John had baptized, and there he stayed. |
| 41有许多人来到他那里说：「若翰固然没有行过神迹，但若翰关于这人所说的一切，都是真的。」 | 41Many people came to him and said, "John showed no miraculous signs, but he spoke of this man and everything he said was true." |
| 42许多人就在那里信了耶稣。 | 42And many became believers in that place. |
