¹正在那时，来了几个人把有关加里肋亚人的事，即比拉多把他们的血，与他们的祭品搀和在一起的事报告给耶稣。	¹One day some persons told Jesus what had occurred in the Temple: Pilate had Galileans killed and their blood mingled with the blood of their sacrifices.
²他回答说：「你们以为这些加里肋亚人，比其他所有的加里肋亚人更有罪，才遭此祸害吗？	²Jesus replied, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this?
³不是的。我告诉你们：如果你们不悔改，你们都要同样丧亡。	³I tell you: no. But unless you change your ways, you will all perish as they did.
⁴或如史罗亚塔倒下，而压死的那十八个人，你们以为他们比耶路撒冷的其他一切居民罪债更大吗？	⁴And those eighteen persons in Siloah who were crushed when the tower fell, do you think they were more guilty than all the others in Jerusalem?
⁵不是的。我告诉你们：如果你们不悔改，你们都要同样丧亡。」	⁵I tell you: no. But unless you change your ways, you will all perish as they did."
⁶他讲了这个比喻说：「有一个人曾将一棵无花果树，栽在自己的葡萄园内。他来在树上找果子，但没有找到，	⁶And Jesus continued with this story, "A man had a fig tree growing in his vineyard and he came looking for fruit on it, but found none.
⁷便对园丁说：你看，我三年来在这棵无花果树上找果子，但没有找到，你砍掉它罢，为什么让它荒废土地？	⁷Then he said to the gardener: 'Look here, for three years now I have been looking for figs on this tree and I have found none. Cut it down, why should it use up the ground?'
⁸园丁回答说：主人，再容它这一年罢！待我在它周围掘土，加上粪；	⁸The gardener replied: 'Leave it one more year, so that I may dig around it and add some fertilizer;
⁹将来若结果子便算了；不然的话，你就把它砍了。」	⁹and perhaps it will bear fruit from now on. But if it doesn't, you can cut it down."
¹⁰安息日，耶稣在一会堂里施教。	¹⁰Jesus was teaching in a synagogue on the sabbath
¹¹有一女人，病魔缠身已十八年了，伛偻着，完全不能直立。	¹¹and a crippled woman was there. An evil spirit had kept her bent for eighteen years so that she could not straighten up at all.
¹²耶稣见了她，便叫她过来，给她说：「女人，你的病已消除了。」	¹²On seeing her, Jesus called her and said, "Woman, you are freed from your infirmity."
¹³遂给她按手，她即刻就挺直起来，光荣天主。	¹³Then he laid his hands upon her and immediately she was made straight and praised God.
¹⁴会堂长因气恼耶稣在安息日治病，便给众人说道：「有六天应当工作，你们在这些日子里可来治病，但不可在安息日这一天。」	¹⁴But the ruler of the synagogue was indignant because Jesus had performed this healing on the sabbath day and he said to the people, "There are six days in which to work; come on those days to be healed and not on the sabbath."
¹⁵主回答他说：「假善人哪！你们每一个人在安息日，有不解下槽上的牛驴，牵去饮水的吗？	¹⁵But the Lord replied, "You hypocrites! Everyone of you unties his ox or his donkey on the sabbath and leads it out of the barn to give it water.
¹⁶这个女人原是亚巴郎的女儿，她被撒殚缠住已经有十八年了，安息日这一天，就不该解开她的束缚吗？」	¹⁶And here you have a daughter of Abraham whom Satan had bound for eighteen years. Should she not be freed from her bonds on the sabbath?"
¹⁷当耶稣讲这话时，所有敌对他的人，个个惭愧，一切民众因他所行的种种辉煌事蹟，莫不欢喜。	¹⁷When Jesus said this, all his opponents felt ashamed. But the people rejoiced at the many wonders that happened through him.
¹⁸耶稣又说：「天主的国相似什么？我要把它比作什么呢？	¹⁸Jesus continued speaking, "What is the kingdom of God like? What shall I compare it to?
¹⁹它相似一粒芥子，人取来种在自己的园中，它遂生长起来，成了大树，天上的飞鸟都栖息在它的枝头上。」	¹⁹Imagine a person who has taken a mustard seed and planted it in the garden. The seed has grown and become like a small tree, so that the birds of the air shelter in its branches."
²⁰他又说：「我要把天主的国比作什么呢？	²⁰And Jesus said again, "What is the kingdom of God like?
²¹它相似酵母，女人取来藏在三斗面中，直到全部发酵。」	²¹Imagine a woman who has taken yeast and hidden it in three measures of flour until it is all leavened."
²²耶稣经过城市乡村，随处施教，朝着耶路撒冷走去。	²²Jesus went through towns and villages teaching and making his way to Jerusalem.
²³有一个人给他说：「主，得救的人果然不多吗？」耶稣对他们说：	²³Someone asked him, "Lord, is it true that few people will be saved?" And Jesus answered,
²⁴「你们竭力由窄门而入罢！因为将来有许多人，我告诉你们：要想进去，而不得入。	²⁴"Do your best to enter by the narrow door, for many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able.
²⁵及至家主起来把门关上，你们在外面站着，开始敲门说：主，请给我们开门罢！他要回答你们说：我不认识你们是那里的。	²⁵When once the master of the house has got up and locked the door, you will stand outside; then you will knock at the door calling: 'Lord, open to us.' But he will say to you: 'I do not know where you come from.'
²⁶那时，你们会说：我们曾在你面前吃过喝过；你也曾在我们的街市上施教过。	²⁶Then you will say: We ate and drank with you and you taught in our streets!
²⁷他要说：我告诉你们：我不认识你们是那里的；你们这些作恶的人，都离开我去罢！	²⁷But he will reply: 'I don't know where you come from. Away from me all you workers of evil.'
²⁸几时你们望见亚巴郎、依撒格、雅各伯及众先知在天主的国里，你们却被弃在外，那里要有哀号和切齿。	²⁸You will weep and grind your teeth when you see Abraham and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves left outside.
²⁹将有从东从西，从北从南而来的人，在天主的国里坐席。	²⁹Others will sit at table in the kingdom of God, people coming from east and west, from north and south.
³⁰看罢！有最后的将成为最先的，也有最先的将成为最后的。」	³⁰Some who are among the last will be the first, and others who were first will be last!"
³¹这时刻，有几个法利塞人前来给耶稣说：「你离开这里走罢！因为黑落德要杀你。」	³¹At that time some Pharisees came to Jesus and gave him this warning, "Leave this place and go on your way, for Herod wants to kill you."
³²耶稣给他们说：「你们去告诉这个狐狸罢！看，我今天明天驱魔治病，第三天就要完毕。	³²Jesus said to them, "Go and give that fox my answer: 'I drive out demons and heal today and tomorrow, and on the third day I finish my course!'
³³但是，今天明天以及后天，我必须前行，因为先知不宜死在耶路撒冷之外。	³³Nevertheless, I must go on my way today and tomorrow and for a little longer, for it would not be fitting for a prophet to be killed outside Jerusalem.
³⁴耶路撒冷，耶路撒冷，你屡次残杀先知，用石头击毙那些奉命到你这里来的人；我多少次愿意聚集你的子女，如母鸡聚集自己的雏鸡，在牠翅翼下，可是你们偏不愿意。	³⁴O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you slay the prophets and stone your apostles! How often have I tried to bring together your children, as a bird gathers her young under her wings, but you refused!
³⁵看罢！你们的房屋必给你们撇下；但是，我告诉你们：你们断不能再看见我，直到你们说：因主名而来的，当受赞颂的时刻来到。」	³⁵From now on you will be left with your temple and you will no longer see me until the time when you will say: Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord."
