| 1耶稣举目一望，看见富人把他们的献仪投入银库内。 | 1Jesus looked up and saw rich people putting their gifts into the treasure box; |
| 2又看见一个贫苦的寡妇，把两文钱投入里面， | 2he also saw a poor widow dropping in two small coins. |
| 3遂说：「我实话告诉你们：这个穷寡妇比众人投入的都多， | 3And he said, "Truly, I tell you, this poor widow put in more than all of them. |
| 4因为众人都是拿他们多余的投入，作为给天主的献仪；而这个寡妇却是从她的不足中，把她所有的一切生活费都投上了。」 | 4For all gave an offering from their plenty, but she, out of her poverty, gave all she had to live on." |
| 5有些人正谈论圣殿是用美丽的石头，和还愿的献品装饰的，耶稣说： | 5While some people were talking about the Temple, remarking that it was adorned with fine stonework and rich gifts, Jesus said to them, |
| 6「你们所看见的这一切，待那时日一到，没有一块石头留在另一块石头上，而不被拆毁的。」 | 6"The days will come when there shall not be left one stone upon another of all that you now admire; all will be torn down." |
| 7他们遂问说：「师傅，那么，什么时候要发生这些事？这些事要发生的时候，将有什么先兆？」 | 7And they asked him, "Master, when will this be, and what will be the sign that this is about to take place?" |
| 8耶稣说：「你们要谨慎，不要受欺骗！因为将有许多人，假冒我的名字来说：我就是（默西亚）；又说：时期近了。你们切不可跟随他们。 | 8Jesus then said, "Take care not to be deceived, for many will come claiming my title and saying: 'I am he, the Messiah; the time is at hand.' Do not follow them. |
| 9你们几时听见战争及叛乱，不要惊惶！因为这些事必须先要发生，但还不即刻是结局。」 | 9When you hear of wars and troubled times, don't be frightened; for all this must happen first, even though the end is not so soon." |
| 10耶稣遂又给他们说：「民族要起来攻击民族，国家攻击国家； | 10And Jesus said, "Nations will fight each other and kingdom will oppose kingdom. |
| 11将有大地震，到处有饥荒及瘟疫；将出现可怖的异象，天上要有巨大的凶兆。 | 11There will be great earthquakes, famines and plagues; in many places strange and terrifying signs from heaven will be seen. |
| 12但是，这一切事以前，为了我名字的原故，人们要下手把你们拘捕、迫害、解送到会堂，并囚于狱中；且押送到君王及总督之前， | 12Before all this happens, people will lay their hands on you and persecute you; you will be delivered to the Jewish courts and put in prison, and for my sake you will be brought before kings and governors. |
| 13为给你们一个作见证的机会。 | 13This will be your opportunity to bear witness. |
| 14所以，你们心中要镇定，不要事先考虑申辩， | 14So keep this in mind: do not worry in advance about what to answer, |
| 15因为我要给你们口才和明智，是你们的一切仇敌所不能抵抗及辩驳的。 | 15for I will give you words and wisdom that none of your opponents will be able to withstand or contradict. |
| 16你们要为父母、兄弟、亲戚及朋友所出卖；你们中有一些要被杀死。 | 16You will be betrayed even by parents, and brothers, by relatives and friends, and some of you will be put to death. |
| 17你们要为了我的名字，受众人的憎恨； | 17But even though you are hated by all for my name's sake, |
| 18但是，连你们的一根头发，也不会失落。 | 18not a hair of your head will perish. |
| 19你们要凭着坚忍，保全你们的灵魂。」 | 19Through perseverance you will possess your own selves. |
| 20「几时你们看见耶路撒冷被军队围困，那时你们便知道：她的荒凉近了。 | 20When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then you must know that the time has come when it will be reduced to a wasteland. |
| 21那时，在犹太的，要逃往山中；在京都中的，要离去；在乡间的，不要进京。 | 21Then, if you are in Judea, flee to the mountains; if you are in the city, leave it; and let those who are in the fields not return to the city. |
| 22因为这是报复的日子，为要应验所记载的一切。 | 22For these will be the days of its punishment and all that was announced in the Scripture will be fulfilled. |
| 23在那些日子内，怀孕的及哺乳的，是有祸的，因为要有大难降临这地方，要有义怒临于这百姓身上。 | 23How hard will it be for pregnant women and for mothers with babies at the breast! For a great calamity will come upon the land, and divine justice upon this people. |
| 24他们要倒在剑刃之下，要被掳往列国；耶路撒冷要受异民蹂躏，直到异民的时期满限。」 | 24They will be put to death by the sword or taken as slaves to other nations; and Jerusalem will be trampled upon by the pagans until the time of the pagans is fulfilled. |
| 25「在日月星辰上，将有异兆出现；在地上，万国要因海洋波涛的怒号而惊惶失措。 | 25Then there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth anguish of perplexed nations when they hear the roaring of the sea and its waves. |
| 26众人要因恐惧，等待即将临于天下的事而昏绝，因为诸天的万象将要动摇。 | 26People will faint with fear at the mere thought of what is to come upon the world, for the forces of the universe will be shaken. |
| 27那时，他们要看见人子，带着威能及莫大光荣乘云降来。 | 27And at this time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. |
| 28这些事开始发生时，你们应当挺起身来，抬起你们的头，因为你们的救援近了。」 | 28Now, when you see the first events, stand erect and lift up your heads, for your deliverance is drawing near." |
| 29耶稣又给他们设了一个比喻：「你们看看无花果树及各种树木， | 29And Jesus added this comparison, "Look at the fig tree and all the trees. |
| 30几时，你们看见它们已经发芽，就知道：夏天已经近了。 | 30As soon as their buds sprout, you know that summer is already near. |
| 31同样，几时你们看见这些事发生了，也应知道：天主的国近了。 | 31In the same way, as soon as you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near. |
| 32我实在告诉你们：非等一切事发生了，这一代决不会过去。 | 32Truly, I tell you, this generation will not pass away, until all this has happened: |
| 33天地要过去，但是，我的话决不会过去。 | 33heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. |
| 34你们应当谨慎，免得你们的心为宴饮沉醉，及人生的挂虑所累时，那意想不到的日子临于你们， | 34Be on your guard; let not your hearts be weighed down with a life of pleasure, drunkenness and worldly cares, lest that day catch you suddenly as a trap. |
| 35因为那日子有如罗网，临于全地面的一切居民。 | 35For it will come upon all the inhabitants of the whole earth. |
| 36所以，你们应当时时醒寤祈祷，为使你们能逃脱即将发生的这一切事，并能立于人子之前。」 | 36But watch at all times and pray, that you may be able to escape all that is bound to happen and to stand before the Son of Man." |
| 37耶稣白天在圣殿施教，黑夜便出去，到名叫橄榄的山上住宿。 | 37In the daytime Jesus used to teach in the Temple; then he would leave the city and pass the night on the mount of Olives. |
| 38众百姓清早起来，到他跟前，在圣殿里听他讲道。 | 38And early in the morning the people would come to the Temple to hear him. |
