¹一周的第一天，天还很早，妇女们便携带预备下的香料，来到坟墓那里，	¹On the sabbath the women rested according to the commandment, but the first day of the week, at dawn, they went to the tomb with the perfumes and ointments they had prepared.
²见石头已由墓穴滚开了。	²Seeing the stone rolled away from the opening of the tomb,
³她们进去，不见了主耶稣的遗体。	³they entered and were puzzled to find that the body of the Lord Jesus was not there.
⁴她们正为此事疑虑的时候，忽然有两个人，穿着耀目的衣服，站在她们身边。	⁴Two men in dazzling garments appeared beside them.
⁵她们都害怕，遂把脸垂向地上，那两个人对她们说：「你们为什么在死人中找活人呢？	⁵In fright the women bowed to the ground. But the men said, "Why look for the living among the dead?
⁶他不在这里了，他已复活了。你们应当记得：他还在加里肋亚时，怎样告诉过你们，	⁶(You won't find him here. He is risen.)
⁷说：人子必须被交付于罪人之手，被钉在十字架上，并在第三日复活。」	⁷Remember what he told you in Galilee, that the Son of Man had to be given into the hands of sinners, be crucified, and rise on the third day."
⁸她们遂想起了他的话，	⁸And they recalled Jesus' words.
⁹从坟墓那里回去，把这一切事报告给那十一门徒及其余的众人，	⁹Returning from the tomb, they informed the Eleven and their companions.
¹⁰她们是玛利亚玛达肋纳及约安纳和雅各伯的母亲玛利亚；其余同她们一起的妇女，也把这些事报告给宗徒。	¹⁰Among the women who brought the news were Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James.
¹¹但妇女们的这些话，在他们看来，好像是无稽之谈，不敢相信。	¹¹But however much they insisted, those who heard did not believe the seemingly nonsensical story.
¹²伯多禄却起来跑到坟墓那里，屈身向里窥看，只见有殓布，就走了，心里惊异所发生的事。	¹²Then Peter got up and ran to the tomb. All he saw there on bending down were the linen cloths. He went home wondering.
¹³就在那一天，他们中，有两个人往一个村庄去，村名厄玛乌，离耶路撒冷约六十「斯塔狄」。	¹³That same day, two of them were going to Emmaus, a village seven miles from Jerusalem,
¹⁴他们彼此谈论所发生的一切事。	¹⁴and they talked about what had happened.
¹⁵正谈话讨论的时候，耶稣亲自走近他们，与他们同行。	¹⁵While they were talking and wondering, Jesus came up and walked with them,
¹⁶他们的眼睛却被阻止住了，以致认不出他来。	¹⁶but their eyes were held and they did not recognize him.
¹⁷耶稣对他们说：「你们走路，彼此谈论的是些什么事？」他们就站住，面带愁容。	¹⁷He asked, "What is this you are talking about?" The two stood still, looking sad.
¹⁸一个名叫克罗帕的，回答他说：「独有你在耶路撒冷作客，不知道在那里这几天所发生的事吗？」	¹⁸Then one named Cleophas answered, "Why, it seems you are the only traveller in Jerusalem who doesn't know what has happened there these past few days."
¹⁹耶稣问他们说：「什么事？」他们回答说：「就是有关纳匝肋人耶稣的事。他本是一位先知，在天主及众百姓前，行事说话都有权力。	¹⁹And he asked, "What is it?" They replied, "It is about Jesus of Nazareth. He was a prophet, you know, mighty in word and deed before God and the people.
²⁰我们的司祭长及首领竟解送了他，判了他死罪，钉他在十字架上。	²⁰But the chief priests and our rulers sentenced him to death. They handed him over to be crucified.
²¹我们原指望他就是那要拯救以色列的。可是──此外还有：这些事发生到今天，已是第三天了。	²¹We had hoped that he would redeem Israel. It is now the third day since all this took place.
²²我们中有几个妇女惊吓了我们；她们清早到了坟墓那里，	²²It is true that some women of our group have disturbed us. When they went to the tomb at dawn,
²³没有看见他的遗体，回来说她们见了天使显现，天使说他复活了。	²³they did not find his body; they came to tell us that they had seen a vision of angels who told them that Jesus was alive.
²⁴我们中也有几个到过坟墓那里，所遇见的事，如同妇女们所说的一样，但是没有看见他。」	²⁴Some friends of our group went to the tomb and found everything just as the women had said, but they did not see him."
²⁵耶稣于是对他们说：「唉！无知的人哪！为信先知们所说的一切话，你们的心竟是这般迟钝！	²⁵He said to them, "How dull you are, how slow of understanding! You fail to believe the message of the prophets.
²⁶默西亚不是必须受这些苦难，才进入他的光荣吗？	²⁶Is it not written that the Christ should suffer all this and then enter his glory?"
²⁷他于是从梅瑟及众先知开始，把全部《经书》论及他的话，都给他们解释了。	²⁷Then starting with Moses and going through the prophets, he explained to them everything in the Scriptures concerning himself.
²⁸当他们临近了他们要去的村庄时，耶稣装作还要前行。	²⁸As they drew near the village they were heading for, Jesus made as if to go farther.
²⁹他们强留他说：「请同我们一起住下罢！因为快到晚上，天已垂暮了。」耶稣就进去，同他们住下。	²⁹But they prevailed upon him, "Stay with us, for night comes quickly. The day is now almost over." So he went in to stay with them.
³⁰当耶稣与他们坐下吃饭的时候，就拿起饼来，祝福了，擘开，递给他们。	³⁰When they were at table, he took the bread, said a blessing, broke it and gave each a piece.
³¹他们的眼睛开了，这才认出耶稣来；但他却由他们眼前隐没了。	³¹Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him; but he vanished out of their sight.
³²他们就彼此说：「当他在路上与我们谈话，给我们讲解《圣经》的时候，我们的心不是火热的吗？」	³²And they said to each other, "Were not our hearts filled with ardent yearning when he was talking to us on the road and explaining the Scriptures?"
³³他们遂即动身，返回耶路撒冷，遇见那十一门徒及他们一起的人，正聚在一起，	³³They immediately set out and returned to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven and their companions gathered together.
³⁴彼此谈论说：「主真复活了，并显现给西满了！」	³⁴They were greeted by these words: "Yes, it is true, the Lord is risen! He has appeared to Simon!"
³⁵二人就把在路上的事，及在分饼时，他们怎样认出了耶稣，述说了一遍。	³⁵Then the two told what had happened on the road and how Jesus made himself known when he broke bread with them.
³⁶他们正谈论这些事的时候，耶稣立在他们中间，向他们说：「愿你们平安！」	³⁶As they went on talking about this, Jesus himself stood in their midst. (And he said to them, "Peace to you.")
³⁷众人害怕起来，想是见了鬼神。	³⁷In their panic and fright they thought they were seeing a ghost,
³⁸耶稣向他们说：「你们为什么恐惶？为什么心里起了疑虑？	³⁸but he said to them, "Why are you upset and why do such ideas cross your mind?
³⁹你们看看我的手，我的脚，分明是我自己。你们摸摸我，应该知道：鬼神是没有肉躯和骨头的，如同你们看我，却是有的。」	³⁹Look at my hands and feet and see that it is I myself. Touch me and see for yourselves that a ghost has no flesh and bones as I have."
⁴⁰说了这话，就把手和脚伸给他们看。	⁴⁰(As he said this, he showed his hands and feet.)
⁴¹他们由于欢喜，还是不敢信，只是惊讶；耶稣向他们说：「你们这里有什么吃的没有？」	⁴¹In their joy they didn't dare believe and were still astonished. So he said to them, "Have you anything to eat?"
⁴²他们便给了他一片烤鱼。	⁴²and they gave him a piece of broiled fish.
⁴³他就接过来，当他们面前吃了。	⁴³He took it and ate it before them.
⁴⁴耶稣对他们说：「我以前还同你们在一起的时候，就对你们说过这话：诸凡《梅瑟法律》、《先知》并《圣咏》上指着我所记载的话，都必须应验。」	⁴⁴Then Jesus said to them, "Remember the words I spoke to you when I was still with you: Everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms had to be fulfilled."
⁴⁵耶稣遂开启他们的明悟，叫他们理解经书；	⁴⁵Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. And he went on,
⁴⁶又向他们说：「经上曾这样记载：默西亚必须受苦，第三天要从死者中复活；	⁴⁶"You see what was written: the Messiah had to suffer and on the third day rise from the dead.
⁴⁷并且必须从耶路撒冷开始，因他的名向万邦宣讲悔改，以得罪之赦。	⁴⁷Then repentance and forgiveness in his name would be proclaimed to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
⁴⁸你们就是这些事的见证人。	⁴⁸Now you shall be witnesses to this.
⁴⁹看，我要把我父所恩许的，遣发到你们身上；至于你们，你们应当留在这城中，直到佩戴上自高天而来的能力。」	⁴⁹And this is why I will send you what my Father promised. So remain in the city until you are invested with power from above."
⁵⁰耶稣领他们出去，直到伯达尼附近，就举手降福了他们。	⁵⁰Jesus led them almost as far as Bethany; then he lifted up his hands and blessed them.
⁵¹正降福他们的时候，就离开他们，被提升天去了。	⁵¹And as he blessed them, he withdrew (and was taken to heaven. They worshiped him).
⁵²他们叩拜了他，皆大喜欢地返回了耶路撒冷，	⁵²They returned to Jerusalem full of joy and
⁵³常在圣殿里称谢天主。	⁵³were continually in the Temple praising God.
