| 1耶稣讲完了这一切话，便对他的门徒说： | 1When Jesus had finished all he wanted to say, he told his disciples, |
| 2「你们知道：两天以后就是逾越节，人子要被解送，被钉在十字架上。」 | 2"You know that in two days' time it will be the Passover and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified." |
| 3那时，司祭长和民间长老，都聚集在名叫盖法的大司祭的庭院内， | 3Then the chief priests and the Jewish authorities gathered together at the palace of the High Priest whose name was Caiaphas, |
| 4共同议决要用诡计捉拿耶稣，加以杀害。 | 4and they agreed to trap Jesus and kill him. |
| 5但是他们说：「不可在庆节期内，免得民间发生暴动。」 | 5But they said among themselves, "Not during the feast, lest there be an uprising among the people." |
| 6耶稣正在伯达尼癞病人西满家里时， | 6While Jesus was in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, |
| 7有一个女人拿着一玉瓶贵重的香液来到耶稣跟前，倒在正坐席的耶稣的头上。 | 7a woman came up to him carrying a precious jar of expensive perfume. She poured it on Jesus' head as he was at table. |
| 8门徒们见了就不满意说：「为什么这样浪费？ | 8Seeing this the disciples became indignant, protesting, "What a useless waste! |
| 9这香液原可卖得许多钱，施舍给穷人。」 | 9The perfume could have been sold for a large sum and given to the poor." |
| 10耶稣知道了，就对他们说：「你们为什么叫这个女人难受？她在我身上原是作了一件善事。 | 10But Jesus was aware of this, so he said to them, "Why are you troubling this woman? What she has just done for me is indeed a good work. |
| 11你们常有穷人同你们在一起，至于我，你们却不常有。 | 11You always have the poor with you but you will not have me forever. |
| 12她把这香液倒在我身上，原是为安葬我而作的。 | 12She was preparing for my funeral when she anointed my body with this perfume. |
| 13我实在告诉你们：将来在全世界，这福音无论传到那里，必要述说她所的事，来纪念她。」 | 13Truly, I say to you: wherever the Gospel is proclaimed, all over the world, what she has done will be told in praise of her." |
| 14随后，那十二人中之一，名叫犹达斯依斯加略的，去见司祭长， | 14Then one of the Twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went off to the chief priests and said, |
| 15说：「我把他交给你们，你们愿意给我什么？」他们约定给他三十块银钱。 | 15"How much will you give me if I hand him over to you?" They promised to give him thirty pieces of silver, |
| 16从此他便寻找机会，要把耶稣交出。 | 16and from then on he kept looking for the best way to hand him over to them. |
| 17无酵节的第一天，门徒前来对耶稣说：「你愿意我们在那里，给你预备吃逾越节晚餐？」 | 17On the first day of the Festival of the Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and said to him, "Where do you want us to prepare the Passover meal for you?" |
| 18耶稣说：「你们进城去见某人，对他说：师傅说：我的时候近了，我要与我的门徒在你那里举行逾越节。」 | 18Jesus answered, "Go into the city, to the house of a certain man, and tell him: 'The Master says: My hour is near, and I will celebrate the Passover with my disciples in your house." |
| 19门徒就照耶稣吩咐他们的作了，预备了逾越节晚餐。 | 19The disciples did as Jesus had ordered and prepared the Passover meal. |
| 20到了晚上，耶稣与十二门徒坐席。 | 20When it was evening, Jesus sat at table with the Twelve. |
| 21他们正吃晚餐的时候，耶稣说：「我实在告诉你们：你们中有一个人要出卖我。」 | 21While they were eating, Jesus said, "Truly, I say to you: one of you will betray me." |
| 22他们非常忧闷，开始各自对他说：「主，难道是我吗？」 | 22They were deeply distressed and asked him in turn, "You do not mean me, do you, Lord?" |
| 23耶稣回答说：「那同我一起把手蘸在盘子里的人，要出卖我。 | 23He answered, "He who will betray me is one of those who dips his bread in the dish with me. |
| 24人子固然要按照指着他所记载的而去，但出卖人子的那人却是有祸的！那人若没有生，为他更好。」 | 24The Son of Man is going as the Scriptures say he will. But alas for that one who betrays the Son of Man; better for him not to have been born." |
| 25那要出卖他的犹达斯也开口问耶稣说：「辣彼，难道是我吗？」耶稣对他说：「你说的是。」 | 25Judas, who was betraying him, also asked, "You do not mean me, Master, do you?" Jesus replied, "You have said it." |
| 26他们正吃晚餐的时候，耶稣拿起饼来，祝福了，擘开递给门徒说：「你们拿去吃罢！这是我的身体。」 | 26While they were eating, Jesus took bread, said a blessing and broke it, and gave it to his disciples saying, "Take and eat; this is my body." |
| 27然后，又拿起杯来，祝谢了，递给他们说：「你们都由其中喝罢！ | 27Then he took a cup and gave thanks, and passed it to them saying, "Drink this, all of you, |
| 28因为这是我的血，新约的血，为大众倾流，以赦免罪过。 | 28for this is my blood, the blood of the Covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. |
| 29我告诉你们：从今以后，我不再喝这葡萄汁了，直到在我父的国里那一天，与你们同喝新酒。」 | 29Yes, I say to you: I will not taste the fruit of the vine from now until the day I drink new wine with you in my Father's kingdom." |
| 30他们唱了圣咏，就出来往橄榄山去。 | 30After singing psalms of praise, they went out to the Mount of Olives. |
| 31那时，耶稣对他们说：「今夜你们都要为我的缘故跌倒，因为经上记载：『我要打击牧人，羊群就要四散。』 | 31Then Jesus said to them, "You will falter tonight because of me, and all will fall. For the Scripture says: I will strike the shepherd and the sheep will be scattered. |
| 32但是，我复活后，要在你们以先到加里肋亚去。」 | 32But after my resurrection I will go ahead of you to Galilee." |
| 33伯多禄却回答他说：「即便众人都为你的缘故跌倒，我决不会跌倒。」 | 33Peter responded, "Even though all doubt you and fall, I will never fall." |
| 34耶稣对他说：「我实在告诉你：今夜鸡叫以前，你要三次不认我。」 | 34Jesus replied, "Truly, I say to you: this very night before the cock crows, you will deny me three times." |
| 35伯多禄对他说：「即便我该同你一起死，我也决不会不认你。」众门徒也都这样说了。 | 35Peter said, "Though I have to die with you, I will never deny you." And all the disciples said the same. |
| 36随后，耶稣同他们来到一个名叫革责玛尼的庄园里，便对门徒说：「你们坐在这里，等我到那边去祈祷。」 | 36Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, "Sit here while I go over to pray." |
| 37遂带了伯多禄和载伯德的两个儿子同去，开始忧闷恐怖起来， | 37He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be filled with anguish and distress. |
| 38对他们说：「我的心灵忧闷得要死，你们留在这里同我一起醒寤罢！」 | 38And he said to them, "My soul is filled with sorrow even to death. Remain here and stay awake with me." |
| 39他稍微前行，就俯首至地祈祷说：「我父！若是可能，就让这杯离开我罢！但不要照我，而要照你所愿意的。」 | 39He went a little farther and fell to the ground, with his face touching the earth, and prayed, "Father, if it is possible, take this cup away from me. Yet not what I want, but what you want." |
| 40他来到门徒那里，见他们睡着了，便对伯多禄说：「你们竟不能同我醒寤一个时辰吗？ | 40He went back to his disciples and found them asleep, and he said to Peter, "Could you not stay awake with me for even an hour? |
| 41醒寤祈祷罢！免陷于诱惑；心神固然切愿，但肉体却软弱。」 | 41Stay awake and pray, so that you may not slip into temptation. The spirit indeed is eager, but human nature is weak." |
| 42他第二次再去祈祷说：「我父！如果这杯不能离去，非要我喝不可，就成就你的意愿罢！」 | 42He again went away and prayed, "Father, if this cup cannot be taken away from me without my drinking it, let your will be done." |
| 43他又回来，见他们仍然睡着，因为他们的眼睛很是沈重。 | 43When he came back to his disciples, he again found them asleep, for they could not keep their eyes open. |
| 44他再离开他们，第三次去祈祷，又说了同样的话。 | 44He left them and again went to pray the third time, saying the same words. |
| 45然后回到门徒那里，对他们说：「你们睡下去罢！休息罢！看，时候到了，人子就要被交于罪人手里。 | 45Then he came back to his disciples and said to them, "You can sleep on now and take your rest! The hour has come and the Son of Man is now given over into the power of sinners. |
| 46起来，我们去罢！看，那出卖我的已来近了。」 | 46Get up, let us go. Look: the betrayer is here." |
| 47他还在说话的时候，看！那十二人中之一的犹达斯来了；同他一起的，还有许多带着刀剑棍棒的群众，是由司祭长和民间的长老派来的。 | 47Jesus was still speaking when Judas, one of the Twelve, arrived. With him was a crowd armed with swords and clubs, who had been sent by the chief priests and the Jewish authorities. |
| 48那出卖耶稣的给了他们一个暗号说：「我口亲谁，谁就是，你们拿住他。」 | 48The traitor had arranged a signal for them: "The one I kiss, he is the man; arrest him." |
| 49犹达斯一来到耶稣跟前，就说：「辣彼，你好！」就口亲了他。 | 49And he went directly to Jesus and said, "Good evening, Master" and he gave him a kiss. |
| 50耶稣却对他说：「朋友，你来做的事就做罢！」于是他们上前，向耶稣下手，拿住了他。 | 50But Jesus said to him, "Friend, do what you came for." Then they laid hold of Jesus and arrested him. |
| 51有同耶稣在一起的一个人，伸手拔出自己的剑，砍了大司祭的仆人一剑，削去了他的一个耳朵。 | 51One of those who were with Jesus drew his sword and struck at the servant of the High Priest, cutting off his ear. |
| 52耶稣遂对他说：「把你的剑放回原处，因为凡持剑的，必死在剑下。 | 52So Jesus said to him, "Put your sword back into its place, for he who uses the sword will perish by the sword. |
| 53你想我不能要求我父，即刻给我调动十二军以上的天使吗？ | 53Do you not know that I could call on my Father, and he would at once send me more than twelve legions of angels. |
| 54若这样，怎能应验经上所载应如此成就的事呢？」 | 54If Scripture says that this has to be, should it not be fulfilled?" |
| 55在那时，耶稣对群众说：「你们带着刀剑棍棒出来拿我，如同对付强盗。我天天坐在圣殿内施教，你们没有拿我。」 | 55At that moment, Jesus said to the crowd, "Why do you come to arrest me with swords and clubs, as if I were a robber? Day after day I was seated among you teaching in the Temple, yet you did not arrest me. |
| 56这一切都发生了，是为应验先知所记载的。于是门徒都撇下他逃跑了。 | 56But all this has come about in fulfillment of what the Prophets said." Then all his disciples deserted him and fled. |
| 57那些拿住耶稣的人，将耶稣带到大司祭盖法前；经师和长老已聚集在那里。 | 57Those who had arrested Jesus brought him to the house of the High Priest Caiaphas, where the teachers of the Law and the Jewish authorities were assembled. |
| 58伯多禄远远跟着耶稣，直到大司祭的庭院，他也进到里面，坐在差役中观看结局。 | 58Peter followed him at a distance as far as the courtyard of the High Priest; he entered and sat with the guards, waiting to see the end. |
| 59司祭长和全公议会寻找相反耶稣的假证据，要把他处死。 | 59The chief priests and the whole Supreme Council needed some false evidence against Jesus, so that they might put him to death. |
| 60虽然有许多假见证出庭，但没有找出什么。最后有两个人上前来， | 60But they were unable to find any, even though false witnesses came forward. |
| 61说：「这人曾经说过：我能拆毁天主的圣殿，在三天内我能把它重建起来。」 | 61At last, two men came up and declared, "This man said: I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days." |
| 62大司祭就站起来，对他说：「这些人作证反对你的事，你什么也不回答吗？」 | 62The High Priest then stood up and asked Jesus, "Have you no answer at all? What is this evidence against you?" |
| 63耶稣却不出声。于是大司祭对他说：「我因生活的天主，起誓命你告诉我们：你是不是默西亚，天主之子？」 | 63But Jesus kept silent. So the High Priest said to him, "In the name of the living God, I command you to tell us: Are you the Messiah, the Son of God?" |
| 64耶稣对他说：「你说的是。并且，我告诉你们：从此你们将要看见人子坐在大能者的右边，乘着天上的云彩降来。」 | 64Jesus answered, "It is just as you say. I tell you more: from now on, you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of the Most Powerful God and coming on the clouds of heaven." |
| 65大司祭遂撕裂自己的衣服说：「他说了亵渎的话。何必还需要见证呢？你们刚才听到了这亵渎的话， | 65Then the High Priest tore his clothes, saying, "He has blasphemed. What more evidence do we need? You have just heard these blasphemous words. |
| 66你们以为该怎样？」他们回答说：「他该死。」 | 66What is your decision?" They answered, "He must die!" |
| 67众人遂即向他脸上吐唾沫，用拳头打他；另有一些人也用巴掌打他， | 67Then they began to spit on Jesus and slap him while others hit him with their fists, |
| 68说：「默西亚，你猜猜是谁打你？」 | 68saying, "Messiah, prophesy! Who hit you?" |
| 69伯多禄在外面庭院里坐着，有一个使女来到他跟前说：「你也是同那加里肋亚人耶稣一起的。」 | 69Meanwhile, as Peter sat outside in the courtyard, a young servant-girl of the house said to him, "You also were with Jesus of Galilee." |
| 70他当着众人否认说：「我不知道你说的是什么。」 | 70But he denied it before everyone, saying, "I do not know what you are talking about." |
| 71他出去到了门廊，另有一个使女看见他，就对那里的人说：「这人是同那纳匝肋人耶稣一起的。」 | 71And as Peter was going out to the gateway, another servant-girl saw him and told the bystanders, "This man was with Jesus of Nazareth." |
| 72他又发誓否认说：「我不认识这个人。」 | 72Peter denied it again with an oath, swearing, "I do not know that man." |
| 73过了一会，站在那里的人前来对伯多禄说：「的确，你也是他们中的一个，因为你的口音把你露出来了」 | 73After a little while, those who were standing there approached Peter and said to him, "Of course you are one of the Galileans; your accent gives you away." |
| 74伯多禄就开始诅咒发誓说：「我不认识这个人。」立时鸡就叫了。 | 74Peter began justifying himself with curses and oaths protesting that he did not know the man. Just then a cock crowed. |
| 75伯多禄便想起耶稣所说的话来：「鸡叫以前，你要三次不认我。」他一到了外面，就伤心痛哭起来。 | 75And Peter remembered the words of Jesus, "Before the cock crows, you will deny me three times." And he went away weeping bitterly. |
