| 1上主训示梅瑟说： | 1Yahweh spoke to Moses and said: |
| 2「你要制造两个喇叭，用银打成，用为召集会众，为迁移营幕。 | 2"Make two trumpets of hammered silver that you shall use for calling the people together, and for sounding the order to move on. |
| 3几时吹两个喇叭，全会众都应集合在会幕门口，来到你跟前。 | 3Whenever both trumpets are sounded, the whole community is to gather around you, at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. |
| 4若只吹一个喇叭，以色列的千夫长，作首领的应集合到你跟前。 | 4But if only one trumpet is sounded, then only the leaders, the chiefs of clans are to gather around you. |
| 5若吹紧急号，扎在东方的营就起程； | 5When the trumpet sounds shrilly, the camps to the east shall move on. |
| 6第二次吹紧急号时，扎在南方的营就起程：吹紧急号是为叫他们起程； | 6At the second shrill blast, the camps pitched to the south shall move on. The trumpet blast shall be shrill when they are to leave; |
| 7但为召集会众，只吹号，不应紧急吹。 | 7but to gather the people, the trumpet shall be sounded plainly. |
| 8亚郎的子孙作司祭的应吹号：这为你们世世代代是条永久的规定。 | 8The sons of Aaron, the priests, are to sound the trumpets; this is a law for you and your descendants for all time to come. |
| 9几时你们在本国要出去作战，攻打来侵的仇敌，应吹紧急号，使上主你们的天主，记得你们，救你们脱离仇敌。 | 9When you are in your own land and are to go to war against an enemy who oppresses you, you shall sound the trumpet shrilly so Yahweh your God will remember you, and you will be delivered from your enemies. |

10此外，在你们的庆日、节日、月朔之日，献全燔祭及和平祭时，还应吹号，使你们的天主记得你们：我是上主，你们的天主。」

10On joyful occasions, on your festival and new-moon feast, you will sound the trumpet at the time of your burnt offering and your communion sacrifices, and they will call you to the remembrance of your God. I am Yahweh your God." |
| 11第二年二月二十日，云彩由会幕升起， | 11On the twentieth day of the second month in the second year after the people left Egypt, the Cloud lifted over the Holy Tent of the Covenant |
| 12以色列子民就从西乃旷野循序起程出发。以后云彩在帕兰旷野停住了。 | 12and the Israelites moved on, in marching order, from the desert of Sinai. The Cloud came to rest in the desert of Paran. |
| 13他们初次依照上主藉梅瑟所出的命令起程。 | 13This was the first stage of the Israelites' journey at the command of Yahweh given through Moses: |
| 14首先依队起程的，是犹大子孙的营旗，率领军队的，是阿米纳达布的儿子纳赫雄； | 14in the front was the banner of the camp of the tribe of Judah, in battle formation. In command of Judah's force was Nahshon son of Amminadab; |
| 15率领依撒加尔子孙支派军队的，是族阿尔的儿子乃塔乃耳； | 15in command of the tribe of Issachar, in battle formation, was Nethanel son of Zuar; |
| 16率领则步隆子孙支派军队的，是厄隆的儿子厄里雅布。 | 16in command of the tribe of Zebulun, in battle formation, was Eliab son of Helon. |
| 17拆下帐幕后，革尔雄的子孙和默辣黎的子孙，就抬着帐幕起程出发。 | 17Then, the Holy Tent was taken down and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari started out, carrying the Holy Tent. |
| 18以后依队出发的，是勒乌本的营旗，率领军队的，是舍德乌尔的儿子厄里族尔； | 18Then came the banner of the camp of the tribe of Reuben, in battle formation. In command of Reuben's force was Elizur son of Shedeur; |
| 19率领西默盎子孙支派军队的，是族黎沙待的儿子舍路米耳； | 19in command of the tribe of Simeon, in battle formation, was Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai; |
| 20率领加得子孙支派军队的，是勒乌耳的儿子厄里雅撒夫。 | 20in command of the tribe of Gad, in battle formation, was Eliasaph, son of Reuel. |
| 21此后刻哈特人抬着圣所之物起程；当他们达到时，人应已竖起帐幕。 | 21Then came the sons of Kohath, who carried the sanctuary (the Holy Tent was set up before their arrival.) |
| 22以后依队出发的，是厄弗辣因子孙的营旗，率领军队的，是阿米胡得的儿子厄里沙玛； | 22Then came the banner of the camp of the sons of Ephraim, in battle formation. In command of Ephraim's force was Elishama son of Ammihud; |
| 23率领默纳协子孙支派军队的，是培达族尔的儿子加默里耳； | 23in command of the tribe of Manasseh, in battle formation, was Gamaliel son of Pedahzur; |
| 24率领本雅明子孙支派军队的，是基德敖尼的儿子阿彼丹。 | 24in command of the tribe of Benjamin was Abidan son of Gideoni. |
| 25以后依队出发的，是作全营后卫的丹子孙的营旗，率领军队的，是阿米沙待的儿子阿希厄则尔； | 25Last of all, serving as rearguard of all the camps, came the sons of Dan, in battle formation. In command of the force of Dan was Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai; |
| 26率领阿协尔子孙支派军队的，是敖革兰的儿子帕革厄耳； | 26in command of the tribe of the sons of Asher, in battle formation, was Pagiel son of Ochran; |
| 27率领纳斐塔里子孙支派军队的，是厄南的儿子阿希辣。 | 27in command of the sons of Naphtali, in battle formation, was Ahira son of Enan. |
| 28这是以色列子民出发时，依队起程的次序。 | 28Such was the order of march for the Israelites, in battle formation. So they set out. |
| 29梅瑟对自己的岳父，米德杨人勒乌耳的儿子曷巴布说：「我们正要起程往上主曾说：『我要给你们的那地方』去；你同我们一起去罢！我们必要好待你，因为上主对以色列许下了幸福。」 | 29Moses said to Hobab, son of Moses' father-in-law, Reuel the Midianite, "We are setting out for the land which Yahweh has promised to give us. Come with us, and we will treat you well, for Yahweh has promised happiness to Israel." He answered, |
| 30曷巴布回答他说：「我不去，我要回到故乡我的老家去。」 | 30"I will not come with you. I would rather go to my own land and my own family." Moses replied, |
| 31梅瑟说：「请你不要离开我们！因为你知道我们在旷野安营的地方，你要给我们当向导。 | 31"Do not leave us, for you know where we can camp in the desert, and so you will be our eyes. |
| 32你若同我们一起去，我们必使你分享上主要赐与我们的幸福。」 | 32If you come with us, you will share in the blessing with which Yahweh blesses us." |
| 33他们就由上主的山起程出发，行了三天的路程；三天的路程中，上主的约柜走在他们的前面，为他们寻求休息的地方。 | 33They moved on from the Mountain of Yahweh, a three days' journey, and for three days the Ark of the Covenant of Yahweh went before them, |
| 34白天他们移营前行时，上主的云彩常在他们头上。 | 34seeking out a resting place for them. Yahweh's cloud was over them by day when they left the camp. |
| 35当约柜起行时，梅瑟就说：「上主，请你起来，使你的仇敌溃散，使怀恨你的由你面前逃走。」 | 35Whenever the Ark left, Moses would say, "Arise, Yahweh, and let your enemies be scattered and let those who hate you flee before you." |
| 36在约柜停留时，他就说：「上主，请归来，住在以色列千家万户中」。 | 36And when it came to rest, he would say, "Come back, Yahweh, to the multitude - the armies of Israel." |
