| 1上主训示梅瑟和亚郎说： | 1Yahweh spoke to Moses and Aaron. He said: |
| 2「这是上主制定的法律，他这样命令说：你吩咐以色列子民，给你牵一头无瑕，身上没有残缺，且没有负过轭的红母牛来。 | 2"This is a regulation and a law that Yahweh gives to you. Say to the people of Israel that they are to bring you a red cow which has no defects and has never been made to work. |
| 3你们应将牛交给厄肋阿匝尔司祭，牵到营外，在他面前杀了。 | 3You will give it to Eleazar the priest so that it may be taken outside the camp and slaughtered in his presence. |
| 4厄肋阿匝尔司祭用手指蘸些牛血，七次向会幕的前面洒血。 | 4Then Eleazar the priest is to take some of the cow's blood on his finger, and sprinkle this blood seven times toward the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. |
| 5以后在他眼前将牛焚烧；牛的皮、肉、血连粪，一起焚烧。 | 5The cow shall then be burned in his presence; including hide, flesh, blood, and the intestines too. |
| 6同时司祭应取香柏木、牛膝草和朱红线，扔在烧牛的火内。 | 6Then the priest is to take cedar wood, a twig of hyssop leaves and a red cord, and throw them on the fire where the cow is burning. |
| 7以后司祭应洗自己的衣服，用水洗身，然后才可以回营；但直到晚上，司祭仍然不洁。 | 7Finally he shall wash his clothing and bathe his body in water, after which he may go back to the camp, but he will remain unclean until evening. |
| 8那焚烧牛的人，也应洗自己的衣服，用水洗身，但直到晚上仍然不洁。 | 8The man who has burned the cow shall also wash his clothing and bathe his body in water and will remain unclean until evening. |
| 9另一位洁净的人收起牛灰，放在营外洁净的地方，为以色列子民会众留下作取洁水之用，因为这原是赎罪祭。 | 9A clean man shall gather up the ashes of the cow and put them outside the camp, in a clean place. They must be kept for the community of Israel to prepare the water of purification. |
| 10那收敛牛灰的人，应洗自己的衣服，且直到晚上不洁：这为以色列子民和侨居在你们中的外方人，是一条永久的法律。 | 10The man who has gathered up the ashes of the cow shall wash his clothing and will remain unclean until evening. This will be a law forever, for the people of Israel as well as for the stranger living among them. |
| 11凡摸了任何人尸体的，七天之久不洁。 | 11Anyone who touches a corpse of any person whatsoever, will be unclean for seven days. |
| 12第三日和第七日，他应用那水取洁，他才洁净；若在第三日和第七日上不取洁，他仍然不洁。 | 12He shall purify himself with these waters on the third and the seventh day, and he will be clean; but if he does not purify himself on the third and the seventh day he will not be clean. |
| 13任何人摸了尸首，即死人的身体，而不取洁，便玷污了上主的居所，这人应由以色列中铲除，因为取洁水没有洒在他身上，他仍然不洁，不洁仍留在他身上。 | 13Anyone who touches a dead person, the body of a man that has died, and has not purified himself, defiles the Holy Tent of Yahweh; such a person must be cut off from Israel because the waters for purification have not flowed over him; he is unclean, and his uncleanness remains in him. |
| 14几时在帐幕内死了一人，有这样的规定：凡进这帐幕，和所有在帐幕的人，七天之久不洁； | 14This is the law when a person dies in a house. Anyone who goes into the house, or anyone who is already there, becomes unclean for seven days. |
| 15一切开着口，没有盖上盖的器皿，都成了不洁的。 | 15Equally unclean shall be every open jar and pot in the house that has not been closed with a lid or fastening. |
| 16凡在田野间摸了一个为刀所害，或自死的人，或人的骨骸，或坟墓的人，七天之久不洁。 | 16Anyone in the open country who touches a person who has been killed, or a person who had died, or human bones or a tomb, becomes unclean for seven days. |
| 17为这样不洁的人，应取些赎罪祭烧成的灰，放在一器皿内，倒上活水。 | 17For the unclean, you shall take some of the ashes of the cow that was offered for the sin and you shall throw it into water in a vessel. |
| 18然后一洁净的人拿牛膝草浸在水内，洒在帐幕上和其内的一切器皿并人身上，以及洒在那摸过骨骸或被害死的，或自死的，或坟墓的人身上。 | 18A clean man shall dip a twig of hyssop in the water and sprinkle it on the house and everything in it, and on the persons as well who were there. And he shall sprinkle it on the one who touched the bone or the dead body or the one slain, or the grave. |
| 19那洁净的人应在第三日和第七日上，洒那不洁净的人，到第七日才能使他洁净；那人还应洗自己的衣服，在水中沐浴，到晚上就洁净了。 | 19The clean man shall sprinkle water on the unclean on the third and the seventh days. So, on the seventh day the unclean is cleansed; he shall wash his clothes and bathe himself on this day and in the evening he will become clean. |
| 20谁成了不洁的而不取洁，这人应由会众中铲除，因为他玷污了上主的圣所，因取洁水没有洒在他身上，他仍然不洁。 | 20But if the unclean man does not cleanse himself, he shall be cut off from the assembly, lest he defile the sanctuary of Yahweh. As long as the water of purification has not been thrown upon him, he is unclean. |
| 21这为你们是一条永久的法律。那洒取洁水的，应洗自己的衣服；凡触摸取洁水的，直到晚上不洁。 | 21This shall be a lasting ordinance for you. The man who sprinkles the water of purification shall wash his clothes and those who touch this water are unclean until the evening. |
| 22凡不洁的人摸过的东西，也成了不洁的；与之接触的人，也直到晚上不洁。」 | 22Whatever the unclean person touches shall be unclean and whoever touches it shall be unclean until evening." |
