| 1上主在西乃山上与梅瑟交谈的时候，亚郎和梅瑟的后裔如下： | 1These are the descendants of Aaron and Moses, at the time when Yahweh spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai. |
| 2亚郎儿子的名字是：长子纳达布、阿彼胡、厄肋阿匝尔和依塔玛尔： | 2These are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab the eldest, then Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar. |
| 3这是亚郎儿子的名字，他们都是受傅的司祭，受祝圣尽司祭之职。 | 3These are the names of Aaron's sons, priests anointed and invested with the powers of the priesthood. |
| 4纳达布和阿彼胡在西乃旷野于上主面前献了凡火，立即死于上主面前，没有留下儿子；只有厄肋阿匝尔和依塔玛尔，在他们父亲亚郎面前执行司祭的职务。 | 4Nadab and Abihu died in the presence of Yahweh, in the desert of Sinai, when they offered fire that was unlawful. They left no children and so it fell to Eleazar and Ithamar to exercise the priesthood under their father Aaron. |
| 5上主训示梅瑟说： | 5Yahweh spoke to Moses and said: |
| 6「叫肋未支派前来，站在亚郎司祭面前，协助他服务。 | 6"Call for the tribe of Levi and appoint them as servants to Aaron the priest. |
| 7他们应代亚郎和全会众，在会幕前尽应尽的义务，在会幕内服役， | 7They are to perform the duties that are laid on him and on the entire community before the Tent of Meeting, in their service of the Holy Tent. |
| 8管理会幕内的一切器具，代以色列子民尽应尽之职，在会幕内服役。 | 8They shall take care of the furnishings for the Tent of Meeting, and serve me in the Holy Tent as representatives of the sons of Israel. |
| 9你应将肋未人全交给亚郎和他的儿子，代以色列子民作亚郎的侍役； | 9You are to give the Levites to Aaron and his sons; they are given to him by the sons of Israel. |
| 10你要委任亚郎和他的儿子执行司祭的职务；俗人擅自走近，应处死刑。」 | 10You are to enroll also Aaron and his sons, and they are to carry out the priestly duty. But any layman who comes near is to be put to death." |
| 11上主训示梅瑟说： | 11Yahweh spoke to Moses and said: |
| 12「看，我由以色列子民中拣选了肋未人，以代替以色列子民中一切头胎的长子，所以肋未人应归于我， | 12"I myself have chosen the Levites from among the sons of Israel, in place of the firstborn, those who open the mother's womb among the sons of Israel; the Levites therefore belong to me, |
| 13因为凡首生的，都是我的；自我在埃及国击杀了一切首生之日起，凡以色列首生的，无论是人或是兽，都应祝圣归我，属于我：我是上主。」 | 13for every firstborn belongs to me. On the day I struck all the firstborn of the Egyptians, I consecrated for my own all the firstborn of Israel, of both man and beast. They are mine; I am Yahweh." |
| 14上主在西乃旷野训示梅瑟说： | 14Yahweh spoke to Moses in the desert of Sinai. He said: |
| 15「你应依照肋未人的宗族和家系，统计肋未的子孙，由一月以上，所有的男性都应登记。」 | 15"You are to take a census of the sons of Levi by families and clans; all the males of the age of one month and over must be counted." |
| 16于是梅瑟就照上主吩咐的命令，统计了他们。 | 16Moses took this census, as Yahweh had ordered. |
| 17肋未儿子的名字是：革尔雄、刻哈特和默辣黎。 | 17These are the names of the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath and Merari. |
| 18按族系，革尔雄儿子的名字是：里贝尼和史米。 | 18These are the names of Gershon's sons by their clans: Libni and Shimei; |
| 19按族系，刻哈特的儿子是阿默兰和依兹哈尔，赫贝龙和乌齐耳。 | 19Kohath's sons by their clans: Amran, Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel; |
| 20按族系，默辣黎的儿子是玛赫里和慕史：这些人按他们的家族都属肋未族系。 | 20Merari's sons by their clans: Mahli and Mushi. These are the clans of Levi, grouped according to their ancestral families. |
| 21里贝尼族和史米族出自革尔雄：这是革尔雄人的家族。 | 21From Gershon are descended the Libnite and the Shimeite clans; these are the Gershonite clans. |
| 22凡一月以上登记的男性，共计七千五百。 | 22Their number, counting the males of one month and over, came to 7,500. |
| 23革尔雄人的家族在会幕后面西方扎营； | 23The Gershonite clans camped behind the Holy Tent, on the west side. |
| 24革尔雄人的领袖，是拉耳的儿子厄里雅撒夫。 | 24The leader of the clan of Gershon was Eliasaph son of Lael. |
| 25革尔雄的子孙在会幕内的职务，是照管帐幕、幕篷顶和会幕内的门帘， | 25In the Tent of Meeting the sons of Gershon had charge of the Holy Tent, its inner and outer covers, |
| 26并庭院的帷幔，围绕帐幕与祭坛的庭院的门帘，以及庭院应用的一切绳索。 | 26the screen for the entrance and curtains for the court which is around the Holy Tent and the altar, and the ropes needed for all this work. |
| 27阿默兰族、依兹哈尔族、赫贝龙族和乌齐耳族出自刻哈特：这是刻哈特人的家族。 | 27From Kohath are descended the Amramite, the Izharite, the Hebronite and the Uzzielite clans; these are the Kohathite clans. |
| 28凡由一月以上登记的男性，共计八千六百；他们管理圣所。 | 28Their full number, counting the males of one month and over, came to 8,300. They were in charge of the sanctuary. |
| 29刻哈特子孙的家族在帐幕南边扎营。 | 29The Kohathite clans camped on the south side of the Holy Tent. |
| 30刻哈特族的家族领袖，是乌齐耳的儿子厄里匝番。 | 30The leader of the Kohathite clans was Elizaphan son of Uzziel. |
| 31他们的职务是管理约柜、桌子、灯台、两祭坛、圣所内应用的一切圣器、帷幔和为帷幔应尽的各种职务。 | 31They were in charge of the ark, the table, the lampstand, the altars, the sacred vessels used in the liturgy, and the screen. |
| 32亚郎大司祭的儿子厄肋阿匝尔是肋未人的最高领袖，监督在圣所服务的人。 | 32The chief of the Levite leaders was Eleazar, son of Aaron the priest. He was the head of all those who were in charge of the sanctuary. |
| 33玛赫里族和慕史族出自默辣黎：这是默辣黎人的家族。 | 33From Merari are descended the Mahlite and the Mushite clans; these are the Merarite clans. |
| 34凡一月以上登记的男性，共计六千二百。 | 34Their full number, counting the males of one month and over, came to 6,200. |
| 35默辣黎族的家族领袖，是阿彼海耳的儿子族黎耳。他们在会幕北边扎营。 | 35The leader of the Merarite clans was Zuriel, son of Abihail. They camped on the north side of the Holy Tent. |
| 36默辣黎的儿子的职务，是照管会幕的木板、横木、柱子、卯座，一切用具，并为会幕应尽的各种职务， | 36The sons of Merari were in charge of the framework of the Holy Tent, with its crossbars, posts and bases, all its fittings, |
| 37还管理庭院四周的柱子及其卯座、木桩及绳索。 | 37and also the posts around the court, with their bases, pegs and ropes. |
| 38在会幕前面东方，即在会幕前朝日出的一面扎营的，是梅瑟和亚郎其他的儿子；他们代替以色列子民服务，管理圣所；俗人擅自走近，应处死刑。 | 38Finally, on the east side, facing the Holy Tent and the Tent of Meeting, toward the sunrise, was the camp of Moses and Aaron and his sons, who had charge of the sanctuary for the people of Israel. Anyone else coming near was to be put to death. |
| 39梅瑟和亚郎照上主的命令，统计了所有的肋未人，按家族凡一月以上的男性都统计了，共计二万二千人。 | 39Altogether, the total count of Levites of the age of one month and over, whom Moses numbered by clans as Yahweh had ordered, came to 22,000. |
| 40此后，上主又对梅瑟说：「以色列子民，凡一月以上首生的男性都要统计，登记他们的姓名； | 40Yahweh said to Moses: "Take a census of all the firstborn among the sons of Israel, all the males from the age of one month and over; take a census of them by name. |
| 41应将肋未人献于我，我是上主，以代替以色列子民中所有的长子；又将肋未人的牲畜献于我，以代替以色列子民中一切头胎的牲畜。」 | 41Then you will take the Levites for me, Yahweh, instead of the firstborn of Israel; in the same way you will give me their cattle instead of the firstborn cattle of the sons of Israel." |
| 42梅瑟便照上主所吩咐的，统计了以色列子民中所有的长子， | 42As Yahweh commanded, Moses took a census of all the firstborn of the sons of Israel. |
| 43凡一月以上的头胎男儿，依名统计了，共计二万二千二百七十三人。 | 43The total count, by name, of the firstborn from the age of one month and over came to 22,273. |
| 44上主训示梅瑟说： | 44Then Yahweh spoke to Moses and said, |
| 45「你要以肋未人替代以色列子民中所有的长子，以肋未人的牲畜替代他们的头胎牲畜；肋未人应属于我：我是上主。 | 45"Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn of Israel's sons, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; the Levites shall be my own. |
| 46至于那超过肋未人数目，而应赎回的二百七十三个以色列子民的长子， | 46But you have to buy back the 273 of the firstborn of the sons of Israel who outnumber the Levites. |
| 47为每一个，应照圣所的『协刻耳』，征收五个『协刻耳』，──一『协刻耳』，合二十『革辣』；── | 47So for each one you are to pay five pieces of silver, according to the official standard, |
| 48将这钱交给亚郎和他的儿子，作为超额人数的赎价。」 | 48and you shall give this money to Aaron and his sons." |
| 49梅瑟就为那超过肋未人数而应赎回的人，征收了赎金。 | 49Moses received the 1,365 pieces of silver as ransom from those who were left when the rest had been redeemed by the Levites. |
| 50由以色列子民的长子所征收的银子，依圣所的「協刻耳」，共计一千三百六十五「協刻耳」。 | 50From the firstborn of the Israelites he received one thousand three hundred and sixty-five pieces of silver according to the sanctuary standard. |
| 51梅瑟依照上主的命令，将这赎金交给了亚郎和他的儿子，全照上主吩咐梅瑟的。 | 51And he gave them to Aaron and his sons as Yahweh had ordered. |
