| 1亚肋路亚！请你们向上主赞颂，因为他是美善宽仁，他的仁慈永远常存。 | 1Alleluia! Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his love endures forever. |
| 2谁能说完上主的大能化工。谁能述尽上主的一切光荣？ | 2Who can count the Lord's mighty deeds, or declare all his praises? |
| 3遵守诫命的人真是有福！时时行义的人，真是有福！ | 3Blessed are they who always do just and right. |
| 4上主，求你为了你对百姓的仁慈，记念我，又求你按照你施救的扶助，看顾我， | 4Remember me, O Lord, when you show favor to your people; rescue me when you deliver them; |
| 5使我享见你选民的福乐，因你百姓的欢笑而欢笑；使我因你的产业而自豪。 | 5let me see the triumph of your faithful, let me share the joy of your nation, and join your people in praising you. |
| 6我们和我们的祖先都犯过罪，都曾为非作歹而都无恶不为： | 6We have sinned like our ancestors; we have done wrong and acted wickedly. |
| 7我们的祖先在埃及的时期，对你奇蹟的意义总不领会，也总不怀念你众多的恩惠，且在红海畔将至高者违背。 | 7When they were in Egypt, our ancestors had no regard for your wondrous deeds; they forgot the abundance of your love; they rebelled against the Most High by the Sea of Reeds. |
| 8但他为了自己的名，仍然救了他们。这是为了彰显他自己的神威大能。 | 8Yet he saved them for his name's sake, to make his mighty power known. |
| 9他一呵叱红海，红海立即干涸，领他们走过海底，像走过沙漠。 | 9He rebuked the sea, and it dried up; he led them through the deep as on dry land. |
| 10救他们摆脱仇恨者的压迫，从敌人的手中将他们救回。 | 10He saved them from hostility, freeing them from the hand of the enemy. |
| 11海水却淹没了他们的敌人，敌人连一个人也没有留存。 | 11Waters covered their pursuers, and none of them was left alive. |
| 12他们才相信了他的诺言，高声歌颂了对他的颂赞。 | 12Then they believed his promises and all at once sang his praises. |
| 13他们很快就忘了上主的作为，他们不再坚持顺从他的旨意， | 13But soon they forgot his works and did not wait for his counsel. |
| 14遂在旷野中放纵贪欲，在荒芜之地试探天主。 | 14They gave way to wanton craving and tempted God in the desert. |
| 15上主虽满足了他们的贪求，却使他们的肚腹发生毒瘤。 | 15He gave them what they wanted, then sent them a wasting disease. |
| 16他们在营中竟对梅瑟起了嫉妒，对天主的圣者亚郎也起了嫉妒。 | 16In the camp they grew envious of Moses and Aaron, the holy one of the Lord. |
| 17地裂开口吞下了达堂，掩盖了阿彼兰的同党。 | 17So the earth opened, swallowed Dathan, and buried the company of Abiram; |
| 18有烈火在他们集会中燃起，火焰就把所有的恶徒焚毁。 | 18fire broke out against them, burning up the wicked. |
| 19他们在曷勒布制造了牛犊，竟崇拜了金铸的一个神偶； | 19They made a calf at Horeb and worshiped the molten image. |
| 20将自己的光荣天主，变成了吃草的牛犊； | 20They exchanged the glory of God for the image of a bull that eats grass. |
| 21竟将拯救自己的天主忘记：他曾在埃及地显示了奇事， | 21They forgot their Savior God, who had done great things in Egypt, |
| 22他也曾在含邦施行过灵蹟，他也曾在红海发显过奇异。 | 22wonderful works in the land of Ham, and awesome deeds by the Sea of Reeds. |
| 23若非他拣选的梅瑟出场，站立在当地裂口的前方，挽回他存心灭绝的怒浪，他早下令全将他们灭亡。 | 23So he spoke of destroying them, but Moses, his chosen one, stood in the breach before him to shield them from destruction. |
| 24他们还轻视了福地乐土，对上主的诺言不肯信取； | 24Yet they despised the promised land, for they had no faith in his word. |
| 25在自己帐幕内抱怨怀恨，不愿意听从上主的声音。 | 25They grumbled in their tents and would not listen to the voice of the Lord. |
| 26上主于是向他们举手起誓，要在旷野使他们丧身倒毙； | 26So he swore to them with his hand raised that he would let them perish in the desert, |
| 27要将他们的子孙分散异邦，要使他们在大地各处流亡。 | 27scatter their descendants among the nations and disperse them over the lands. |
| 28此后他们归依巴耳培敖耳，还分食祭祀过死神的祭品。 | 28They joined the rites of Baal-peor and ate sacrifices to lifeless gods. |
| 29又作恶犯罪触怒了上主，他忽降灾祸把他们惩处； | 29Their deeds provoked the Lord to anger, and a plague broke out among them. |
| 30丕乃哈斯奋起调停，这灾祸才止息平定。 | 30But Phinehas stood up and intervened, and the plague came to an end. |
| 31这确算是他的功勋，世世代代感念不尽。 | 31This was credited to his uprightness, making him remembered for all ages. |
| 32此后，他们在默黎巴水畔激怒上主，为了他们的原故，梅瑟也连累受苦； | 32Angered by them at Meribah's waters, the Lord took it out on Moses |
| 33因他们使他精神苦闷，他唇舌说话未加谨慎。 | 33for the rash words he uttered, when they rebelled against God. |
| 34上主命他们消灭异民，他们却没有听命履行， | 34They dared not destroy the pagans, as the Lord commanded; |
| 35反而同异民混杂来往，学会他们的不良习尚， | 35they mingled with these nations and learned to do as they did. |
| 36竟崇拜了他们的偶像，偶像成了他们的罗网。 | 36In serving the idols of the pagans, they were trapped |
| 37他们竟杀了自己的儿女，把他们奉献给邪魔恶鬼， | 37into sacrificing children to demons, |
| 38倾流了无罪者的血，就是自己儿女的血，奉献给客纳罕的木偶，那地就被流血所玷污。 | 38shedding the innocent blood of their sons and daughters to the idols of Canaan, polluting the country with blood. |
| 39他们因自己的作为，全无廉耻，他们因自己的恶行，行同娼妓。 | 39They defiled themselves by what they did, playing the harlot in their worship. |
| 40为此，上主向百姓大发愤怒，并对自己的人民憎恨厌恶； | 40The anger of the Lord grew intense and he abhorred his inheritance. |
| 41把他们交在异民的手内，让恼恨他们的人来主宰， | 41He handed them over to the nations, and their foes ruled them with arrogance. |
| 42为他们的仇人所虐待，在他们的手下受迫害。 | 42Brought by the enemy into subjection, they suffered the agony of oppression. |
| 43上主曾多次拯救他们，但他们仍是抗不从命，陷于自己罪恶的深坑。 | 43He delivered them many a time, but they went on defying him and sinking deeper into their sin. |
| 44上主听到了他们的哀鸣，又垂顾了他们受的灾情， | 44But he heard their cry of affliction and looked on them with compassion. |
| 45忆起了他自己恩待他们的盟约，怜悯了他们，只因他的慈爱太多。 | 45Remembering his covenant, he relented for their sake, because of his great love. |
| 46使他们在俘掳他们的人前，成为自己慈爱怜悯的因缘。 | 46He let them be pitied by all those who held them captive. |
| 47上主，我们的天主，求你拯救我们，由异民召回我们重逢，为赞美你的圣名，并以赞美你为光荣。 | 47Save us, O Lord, our God, gather us from among the nations, that we may give thanks to you and praise your holy name. |
| 48愿上主以色列的天主，从永远到永远受赞美！愿全体百姓齐声唱说：阿们，亚肋路亚。 | 48Blessed be the Lord, God of Israel, from eternity to eternity. Let all the people say, "Amen!" Praise the Lord! |
