| 1登圣殿歌，达味作。若不是上主保佑我们惟愿以色列子民再说： | 1Had not the Lord been on our side - let Israel say - |
| 2若不是上主保佑我们，当世人起来攻击我们， | 2had not the Lord been on our side, when people rose up against us, |
| 3并向我们发泄怒火时，必会活活将我们吞食。 | 3then they would have swallowed us alive. such was their anger against us. |
| 4就像淹没我们的水祸，流过我们颈项的洪波。 | 4A bit more and the flood would have engulfed us, the torrent would have swept over us, |
| 5又像汹涌澎湃的狂浪，早已将我们淹没灭亡。 | 5the raging waters would have swept us away. |
| 6赞美上主，他没有将我们抛出，使我们做成他爪牙的猎物； | 6Blessed be the Lord, who did not let us be devoured. |
| 7我们像挣脱猎人罗网的小鸟，罗网被扯破了，我们自然逃掉。 | 7Like a bird our soul escaped from the snare of the fowler; the snare was broken and we were freed. |
| 8我们的救助是仰赖上主的名，上天和下地都是由他所造成。 | 8Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. |
