德训篇	Sirach
¹有三件事，我心中喜乐，这三件事也是上主与世人喜爱的，就是：	¹Three things delight me and are delightful to God and men: agreement between brothers, friendship between neighbors, and perfect harmony between husband and wife.
²兄弟和睦，邻人友爱，夫妇同心。	²There are three kinds of persons whom I detest and whose existence I cast away from me: a poor man full of pride, a rich man who is a liar, and an adulterous old man who is a fool.
³有三种人，我心中憎恨；他们的生活，是我厌恶的，就是：	³If you have saved nothing in your youth, what will you have in old age?
⁴傲慢的穷人，诡诈的富人，和淫乱无知的老人。	⁴What a great thing is old age with sound judgment, an old man who can counsel!
⁵你青年时，没有积蓄，到你老时，你能有什么？	⁵What a great thing is wisdom in those who are old, or understanding and prudence in the great.
⁶白发老人，善于判断；年高的人，会出主意，是多么美好！	⁶Rich experience is the crown of the old, their pride is the fear of the Lord.
⁷老年人富有智慧；有荣名的人，聪明而有智谋，何其相称！	⁷I think of nine things which I consider happy and a tenth to which I will also refer: the man who finds his happiness in his children; the man who sees the ruin of his enemies in his lifetime.
⁸阅历丰富，是老年人的荣冠；敬畏上主，是他们的光荣。	⁸Happy the man who lives with a sensible wife; he who does not plow with a donkey and ox; he who has done no wrong in speech; he who does not serve an unworthy master.
⁹有九件事，我心中以为是幸福的；但第十件事，我的口舌更要向人讲述，那就是：	⁹Happy he who has acquired good sense and is able to speak before an attentive audience!
¹⁰因子女而喜乐，在世上见到敌人失败的人；	¹⁰Great is he who has gained wisdom, but no one surpasses the man who fears the Lord.
¹¹能与明智的妇女同居，不使牛驴同轭耕作，口舌没有过错，及不事奉自己属下的人，是有福的；	¹¹Since the fear of the Lord excels everything, who can compare with the one who possesses it?
¹²发现明智，和讲给听众的人，是有福的；	¹²Any wound rather than the wound of the heart; any wickedness rather than the wickedness of a woman;
¹³找到智慧和明智的人，是多么伟大！但是无人能超过敬畏上主的人。	¹³any sadness rather than that inflicted by an enemy; any vengeance rather than the vengeance of a foe.
¹⁴敬畏上主，超越一切。	¹⁴There is no poison worse than a snake's venom, there is no rage worse than an enemy's.
¹⁵获得敬畏上主之情的人，是有福的；怀有敬畏上主之情的人，谁能与他相比？	¹⁵Better to live with a lion and a snake than to share a house with a wicked woman.
¹⁶敬畏上主，是爱上主的初步；信德是依附上主的起源。	¹⁶Wickedness disfigures a woman's appearance, it saddens the face, making her look like a bear.
¹⁷最有损害的，是内心的忧愁；最坏的，是妇女的丑行。	¹⁷When her husband dines with his neighbor, he sighs bitterly, in spite of himself.
¹⁸一切打击都可忍受，但不愿忍受心中的打击；	¹⁸All wickedness is nothing compared with a woman's wickedness. Let her lot be that of a sinner!
¹⁹一切恶毒都可忍耐，但不愿忍耐妇人的恶毒；	¹⁹As a sandhill is to an old man's feet, so is the talkative woman to her quiet husband.
²⁰一切侵害都可接受，但不愿接受仇恨者的侵害；	²⁰Do not be fooled by a woman's beauty or fall in love with her.
²¹一切报复都可承当，但不愿承当敌人的报复。	²¹Expect anger, reproach and plenty of shame when the wife rules the husband.
²²没有比蛇毒更毒的，没有比妇女发怒更暴哮的。	²²Dejected spirits, a sad face and unseen wounds, these are the work of a wicked woman. Idle hands and unsteady knees are found when a wife brings her husband no happiness.
²³我宁愿与狮龙共处，不愿与恶妇同居。	²³For sin began with woman and we all die because of the inheritance of the congregations of Israel.
²⁴妇人的邪恶，使自己的脸面变色，变成丑黑，有如熊脸，仿佛麻袋。	²⁴Do not let water leak out or give free rein to a wicked woman. If she does not do as you tell her, get rid of her.
²⁵他的丈夫一和近人同坐，她就不由地悲伤叹息。	²⁵
²⁶一切恶毒，与妇人的恶毒相比，都算轻微；愿罪人的命运，落在她身上。	²⁶
²⁷老年人的脚，难上沙坡；安静的丈夫，难以容忍多言的妻子。	²⁷
²⁸不要因妇女的美丽，陷于罪过；也不要因她美丽，就贪恋她。	²⁸
²⁹令人感到愤怒侮辱与奇耻的事是：	²⁹
³⁰妇人供养自己的丈夫。	³⁰
³¹恶妇使人意志颓唐，面带忧色，心受创伤。	³¹
³²丈夫手弱膝软，是因为妻子使他陷于不幸。	³²
³³罪恶的起源，来自妇女；为了她，我们都要死亡。	³³
³⁴不要给水留漏洞，连微小的漏洞也不要留，不要给恶妇任何自由。	³⁴
³⁵她若不随从你的指使，在仇人前侮辱你，	³⁵
³⁶就应把她从你身上割去，免得她常虐待你。	³⁶
