| 1那时全以色列人聚集到赫贝龙，来见达味说：「看我们都是你的骨肉。 | 1Then all Israel gathered themselves to David in Hebron, saying: We are thy bone, and thy flesh. |
| 2以前连撒乌耳为王时，也是你率领以色列出入征讨；并且上主你的天主，也曾对你说过：你应牧养我的百姓以色列，作我的百姓以色列的领袖。」 | 2Yesterday also, and the day before when Saul was king, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: for the Lord thy God said to thee: Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt; be ruler over them. |
| 3以色列所有的长老都到赫贝龙来见君王，达味就在赫贝龙，在上主面前同他们立了约；他们便按照上主藉撒慕尔所吩咐的，给达味傅油，立他为以色列王。 | 3So all the ancients of Israel came to the king to Hebron, and David made a covenant with them before the Lord: and they anointed him king over Israel, according to the word of the Lord which he spoke in the hand of Samuel. |
| 4达味和全以色列人便向耶路撒冷，即耶步斯进发，当时住在那地方的是耶步斯人。 | 4And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, which is Jebus, where the Jebusites were the inhabitants of the land. |
| 5耶步斯的居民对达味说：「你决攻不进此地。」但是达味却占领了熙雍山堡，即今达味城。 | 5And the inhabitants of Jebus said to David: Thou shalt not come in here. But David took the castle of Sion, which is the city of David. |
| 6达味曾说过：「谁首先击败耶步斯人，谁将升为将领和元帅。」责鲁雅的儿子约阿布首先上去了，所以他成了元帅。 | 6And he said: Whosoever shall first strike the Jebusites, shall be the head and chief captain. And Joab the son of Sarvia went up first, and was made the general. |
| 7达味便住在那山堡内，因此人称之为达味城。 | 7And David dwelt in the castle, and therefore it was called the city of David. |
| 8达味又重修四周城垣，从米罗起，重修一周；城的其余部分由约阿布修建。 | 8And he built the city round about from Mello all round, and Joab built the rest of the city. |
| 9达味日渐强盛，万军的上主与他同在。 | 9And David went on growing and increasing, and the Lord of hosts was with him. |
| 10以下这些人，是极力拥护达味建国，与全以色列人照上主对以色列所吩咐的，立他为王的主要将士。 | 10These are the chief of the valiant men of David, who helped him to be made king over all Israel, according to the word of the Lord, which he spoke to Israel. |
| 11达味的将士名单如下：哈革摩尼的儿子依市巴耳，是三杰之首；一次他曾举起长矛，击杀了三百人。 | 11And this is the number of the heroes of David: Jesbaam the son of Hachamoni the chief among the thirty: he lifted up his spear against three hundred wounded by him at one time. |
| 12次为阿曷亚人多多的儿子厄肋阿匝尔，三杰之一， | 12And after him was Eleazar his uncle's son the Ahohite, who was one of the three mighties. |
| 13他以前同达味在帕斯达明，培肋舍特人正在那里集合准备交战时，【以色列人退却，他却固守阵地，击杀培肋舍特人，直到他手软无力，粘在刀柄上。上主在那一天完成了一大胜利；民众返回，随着他去抢战利品。再其次是哈辣黎人厄拉的儿子沙玛，那时培肋舍特人在肋希集合】，在那里有一块长满大麦的田地，民众由培肋舍特人面前逃走， | 13He was with David in Phesdomim, when the Philistines were gathered to that place to battle: and the field of that country was full of barley, and the people fled from before the Philistines. |
| 14他却立在田间保护了那块田地，杀败了培肋舍特人，如此上主又完成了一次大胜利。 | 14But these men stood in the midst of the field, and defended it: and they slew the Philistines, and the Lord gave a great deliverance to his people. |
| 15一次三十勇士中有三位下到阿杜蓝山砦附近的岩石里去见达味，那时培肋舍特人正扎营在勒法因平原里， | 15And three of the thirty captains went down to the rock, wherein David was, to the cave of Odollam, when the Philistines encamped in the valley of Raphaim. |
| 16同时达味恰在山砦内，培肋舍特人当时也在白冷驻防， | 16And David was in a hold, and the garrison of the Philistines in Bethlehem. |
| 17达味渴望说：「谁能从白冷城门旁的井中，给我打一点水来喝？」 | 17And David longed, and said: O that some man would give me water of the cistern of Bethlehem, which is in the gate. |
| 18那三位勇士就冲过培肋舍特人的营幕，从白冷城门旁的井中打了水，将水取来带到达味前；但达味不肯喝，反而将水奠于上主前， | 18And these three broke through the midst of the camp of the Philistines, and drew water out of the cistern of Bethlehem, which was in the gate, and brought it to David to drink: and he would not drink of it, but rather offered it to the Lord, |
| 19说「我的天主决不许我做这事！我岂能喝这些冒生命危险者的血？因为这是他们冒生命危险取来的。」所以他不肯喝。这是这三个勇士所做的。 | 19Saying: God forbid that I should do this in the sight of my God, and should drink the blood of these men: for with the danger of their lives they have brought me the water. And therefore he would not drink. These things did the three most valiant. |
| 20约阿布的兄弟阿彼瑟，是三十勇士的领袖，他挥舞长矛杀了三百人，因此在三十勇士中出了名； | 20And Abisai the brother of Joab, he was chief of three, and he lifted up his spear against three hundred whom he slew, and he was renowned among the three, |
| 21他在三十勇士中享有双重的名望，做了他们的领袖，但尚不及三杰。 | 21And illustrious among the second three, and their captain: but yet he attained not to the first three. |
| 22约雅达的儿子贝纳雅原是卡贝责耳人，是一位英勇大有作为的人，曾击杀摩阿布人阿黎耳的两个儿子；又在下雪天，下到旱井里打死了一只狮子。 | 22Banaias the son of Joiada, a most valiant man, of Cabseel, who had done many acts: he slew the two ariels of Moab: and he went down, and killed a lion in the midst of a pit in the time of snow. |
| 23他也曾打死了一个埃及巨人。这埃及人身高五肘，手中拿着粗如织布机轴的长矛，贝纳雅下去，手中仅拿着一根棍杖，从那埃及人手中，把长矛夺了过来，用那长矛将他杀死。 | 23And he slew an Egyptian, whose stature was of five cubits, and who had a spear like a weaver's beam: and he went down to him with a staff, and plucked away the spear, that he held in his hand, and slew him with his own spear. |
| 24这是约雅达的儿子贝纳雅所做的事。因此在三十勇士中出了名。 | 24These things did Banaias the son of Joiada, who was renowned among the three valiant ones, |
| 25他比三十勇士更有名望，但尚不及三杰。达味派他作侍卫长。 | 25And the first among the thirty, but yet to the three he attained not: and David made him of his council. |
| 26其余的勇士：有约阿布的兄弟阿撒耳，白冷人多多的儿子厄耳哈难， | 26Moreover the most valiant men of the army, were Asahel brother of Joab, and Elchanan the son of his uncle of Bethlehem, |
| 27哈洛得人沙摩特，帕耳提人赫肋兹， | 27Sammoth an Arorite, Helles a Phalonite, |
| 28特科亚人依刻士的儿子依辣，阿纳托特人阿彼厄则尔， | 28Ira the son of Acces a Thecuite, Abiezer an Anathothite, |
| 29胡沙人息贝开，阿曷亚人依来， | 29Sobbochai a Husathite, Ilai an Ahohite, |
| 30乃托法人玛哈赖，乃托法人巴阿纳的儿子赫肋得， | 30Maharai a Netophathite, Heled the son of Baana a Netophathite, |
| 31本雅明族基贝亚人黎拜的儿子依泰、丕辣通人贝纳雅， | 31Ethai the son of Ribai of Gabaath of the sons of Benjamin, Banal a Pharathonite, |
| 32加阿士溪人胡赖，贝特阿辣巴人阿彼巴耳， | 32Hurai of the torrent Gaas, Abiel an Arbathite, Azmoth a Bauramite, Eliaba a Salabonite, |
| 33巴胡陵人阿次玛委特，沙阿耳宾人厄里雅巴， | 33The sons of Assem a, Gezonite, Jonathan the son of Sage an Ararite, |
| 34基宗人雅笙，哈辣黎人沙革的儿子约纳堂， | 34Ahiam the son of Sachar an Ararite, |
| 35哈辣黎人撒加尔的儿子阿希杨，乌尔的儿子厄里法耳， | 35Eliphal the son of Ur, |
| 36默革辣人赫费尔，基罗人阿希雅， | 36Hepher a Mecherathite, Ahia a Phelonite, |
| 37加尔默耳人赫兹赖，厄次拜的儿子纳阿赖， | 37Hesro a Carmelite, Naarai the son of Azbai, |
| 38纳堂的兄弟约厄耳，哈革黎的儿子米贝哈尔， | 38Joel the brother of Nathan, Mibahar the son of Agarai. |
| 39阿孟人责肋克，贝厄洛特人纳赫赖，他是责鲁雅的儿子约阿布的执戟者， | 39Selec an Ammonite, Naharai a Berothite, the armourbearer of Joab the son of Sarvia. |
| 40雅提尔人依辣，雅提尔人加勒布， | 40Ira a Jethrite, Gareb a Jethrite, |
| 41赫特人乌黎雅，阿赫来的儿子匝巴得， | 41Urias a Hethite, Zabad the son of Oholi, |
| 42勒乌本人史匝的儿子阿狄纳，他是勒乌本人的首领，有三十个人跟随他， | 42Adina the son of Siza a Rubenite the prince of the Rubenites, and thirty with him: |

| 44阿市塔洛特人乌齐雅，阿洛厄尔人曷堂的儿子沙玛和耶厄耳， | 44Ozia an Astarothite, Samma, and Jehiel the sons of Hotham an Arorite, |
| 45提漆人史默黎的儿子耶狄阿耳和他的兄弟约哈， | 45Jedihel the son of Zamri, and Jobs his brother a Thosaite, |
| 46玛红人厄里耳，厄耳纳罕的儿子耶黎拜和约沙委雅，摩阿布人依特玛， | 46Eliel a Mithumite, and Jeribai, and Josaia the sons of Elnaim, and Jethma a Moabite, Eliel, and Obed, and Jasiel of Masobia. |
| 47厄里耳，敖贝得和祚巴人雅息耳。 | 47 |
