¹达味在达味城为自己建造了宫室，也为天主的约柜预备了一块地方，支搭了一座帐幕。	¹He made also houses for himself in the city of David: and built a place for the ark of God, and pitched a tabernacle for it.
²那时，达味心里想：天主的约柜，除肋未人外，谁也不能抬，因为上主只简选了他们抬上主的约柜，永远奉事他。	²Then David said: No one ought to carry the ark of God, but the Levites, whom the Lord hath chosen to carry it, and to minister unto himself for ever.
³达味遂召集了全以色列到耶路撒冷来，为将上主的约柜迎运到他所预备的地方。	³And he gathered all Israel together into Jerusalem, that the ark of God might be brought into its place, which he had prepared for it.
⁴他又召集了亚郎的子孙和肋未人：	⁴And the sons of Aaron also, and the Levites.
⁵刻哈特子孙的族长乌黎耳，和他的同族一百二十人；	⁵Of the children of Caath, Uriel was the chief, and his brethren a hundred and twenty.
⁶默辣黎子孙的族长阿撒雅，和他的同族二百二十人，	⁶Of the sons of Merari, Asaia the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty.
⁷革尔雄子孙的族长约厄耳，和他的同族一百三十人；	⁷Of the sons of Gersom, Joel the chief, and his brethren a hundred and thirty.
⁸厄里匝番子孙的族长舍玛雅和他的同族二百人；	⁸Of the sons of Elisaphan, Semeias the chief: and his brethren two hundred.
⁹赫贝龙子孙的族长厄里耳，和他的同族八十人；	⁹Of the sons of Hebron, Eliel the chief: and his brethren eighty.
¹⁰乌齐耳子孙的族长阿米纳达布和他的同族一百一十二人。	¹⁰Of the sons of Oziel, Aminadab the chief: and his brethren a hundred and twelve.
¹¹达味将司祭匝多克、厄贝雅塔尔，及肋未人乌黎耳、阿撒雅、约厄耳，舍玛雅、厄里耳和阿米纳达布召来，	¹¹And David called Sadoc, and Abiathar the priests, and the Levites, Uriel, Asaia, Joel, Semeia, Eliel, and Aminadab:
¹²对他们说：「你们既为肋未人的族长，你们与你们的同族兄弟就当圣洁自己，将上主以色列天主的约柜，抬到我所准备的地方。	¹²And he said to them: You that are the heads of the Levitical families, be sanctified with your brethren, and brine the ark of the Lord the God of Israel to the place, which is prepared for it:
¹³因为你们初次不在场，我们没有按照规则迎接，所以上主我们的天主打击了我们。」	¹³Lest as the Lord at first struck us, because you were not present, the same should now also come to pass, by our doing some thing against the law.
¹⁴司祭和肋未人便圣洁自己，好将上主以色列天主的约柜抬上来。	¹⁴So the priests and the Levites were sanctified, to carry the ark of the Lord the God of Israel.
¹⁵肋未子孙按照梅瑟奉天主的命所吩咐的，用杠杆在肩上抬着上主的约柜。	¹⁵And the sons of Levi took the ark of God as Moses had commanded, according to the word of the Lord, upon their shoulders, with the staves.
¹⁶达味又吩咐肋未人的族长，由他们的同族兄弟中指派一些歌咏者，叫他们用各种乐器、琴瑟和铙钹，奏出嘹喨欢乐的声音。	¹⁶And David spoke to the chiefs of the Levites, to appoint some of their brethren to be singers with musical instruments, to wit, on psalteries, and harps, and cymbals, that the joyful noise might resound on high.
¹⁷肋未人遂指派了约厄耳的儿子赫曼和他的一个同族贝勒克雅的儿子阿撒夫，并他们同族兄弟默辣黎的子孙中，谷沙雅的儿子厄堂。	¹⁷And they appointed Levites, Hemam the son of Joel, and of his brethren Asaph the son of Barachias: and of the sons of Merari, their brethren: Ethan the son of Casaia.
¹⁸与他们一起的，尚有他们的同族兄弟，组成第二班：则加黎雅、雅阿齐耳、舍米辣摩特、耶希耳、翁尼、厄里阿布、贝纳雅、玛阿色雅、玛提提雅、厄里斐路和米刻乃雅，以及守卫敖贝得厄东和耶希耳。	¹⁸And with them their brethren: in the second rank, Zacharias, and Ben, and Jaziel, and Semiramoth, and Jahiel, and Ani, and Eliab, and Banaias, and Maasias, and Mathathias, and Eliphalu, and Macenias, and Obededom, and Jehiel, the porters.
¹⁹至于歌咏者，赫曼、阿撒夫和厄堂打铜钹；	¹⁹Now the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, sounded with cymbals of brass.
²⁰则加黎雅、雅阿齐耳、舍米辣摩特、耶希耳、翁尼、厄里阿布、玛阿色雅、贝纳雅弹瑟，调用高音。	²⁰And Zacharias, and Oziel, and Semiramoth, and Jehiel, and Ani, and Eliab, and Maasias, and Banaias, sung mysteries upon psalteries.
²¹玛提提雅、厄里斐路、米刻乃雅、敖贝得厄东、耶依耳、阿匝齐雅领先弹琴，调用低音。	²¹And Mathathias, and Eliphalu, and Macenias and Obededom, and Jehiel and Ozaziu, sung a song of victory for the octave upon harps.
²²肋未人的族长革纳尼雅管理歌咏，因他善于歌咏之事。	²²And Chonenias chief of the Levites, presided over the prophecy, to give out the tunes: for he was very skillful.
²³贝勒基雅和厄耳卡纳为守卫，看守约柜。	²³And Barachias, and Elcana, were doorkeepers of the ark.
²⁴司祭舍巴尼雅、约沙法特、乃塔乃耳、阿玛赛、则加黎雅、贝纳雅和厄里厄则尔，在天主的约柜前吹号筒；敖贝得厄东和耶希雅为守卫，看守约柜。	²⁴And Sebenias, and Josaphat, and Nathanael, and Amasai, and Zacharias, and Banaias, and Eliezer the priests, sounded with trumpets, before the ark of God: and Obededom and Jehias were porters of the ark.
²⁵于是达味和以色列的长老并千夫长前去，由敖贝得厄东家中，兴高采烈地将上主的约柜接上来。	²⁵So David and all the ancients of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the house of Obededom with joy.
²⁶由于天主扶助了抬上主约柜的肋未人，他们遂祭献了七头公牛和七只公山羊。	²⁶And when God had helped the Levites who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, they offered in sacrifice seven oxen, and seven rams.
²⁷达味、抬约柜的肋未人、歌咏之长革纳黎雅以及歌咏者，都穿着细麻长衣，达味另外又佩带着细麻的「厄弗得」。	²⁷And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that carried the ark, and the singing men, and Chonenias the ruler of the prophecy among the singers: and David also had on him an ephod of linen.
²⁸全以色列在欢呼、吹角、吹号、击钹、鼓瑟、弹琴、奏乐之中，将上主的约柜接了上来。	²⁸And all Israel brought the ark of the covenant of the Lord with joyful shouting, and sounding with the sound of the comet, and with trumpets, and cymbals, and psalteries, and harps.
²⁹上主的约柜进入达味城时，撒乌耳的女儿米加耳由窗内窥看，见达味跳跃舞蹈，心中就轻视他。	²⁹And when the ark of the covenant of the Lord was come to the city of David, Michol the daughter of Saul looking out at a window, saw king David dancing and playing, and she despised him in her heart.
