格林多前书	1 Corinthians
¹我不是自由的吗？我不是宗徒吗？我不是见过我们的主耶稣吗？你们不是我在主内所建的工程吗？	¹Am not I free? Am not I an apostle? Have not I seen Christ Jesus our Lord? Are not you my work in the Lord?
²纵然我为别人不是宗徒，为你们我总是，因为你们在主内正是我任宗徒职分的印证。	²And if unto others I be not an apostle, but yet to you I am. For you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.
³这也就是我对那些质问我的人的答辩。	³My defence with them that do examine me is this.
⁴难道我们没有取得饮食的权利吗？	⁴Have not we power to eat and to drink?
⁵难道我们没有权利携带一位为姊妹的妇人，如其他的宗徒及主的弟兄并刻法一样吗？	⁵Have we not power to carry about a woman, a sister, as well as the rest of the apostles, and the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?
⁶或者，唯有我和巴尔纳伯没有不劳作的权利吗？	⁶Or I only and Barnabas, have not we power to do this?
⁷谁当兵而自备粮饷呢？谁种植葡萄园而不吃它的出产呢？或者，谁牧放羊群而不吃羊群的奶呢？	⁷Who serveth as a soldier at any time, at his own charges? Who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? Who feedeth the flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?
⁸我说这话，难道是按人之常情？法律不是也这样说吗？	⁸Speak I these things according to man? Or doth not the law also say these things?
⁹原来梅瑟法律上记载说：「牛在打场的时候，不可笼住牠的嘴。」难道天主所关心的是牛吗？	⁹For it is written in the law of Moses: Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?
¹⁰岂不是完全为我们说的吗？的确是为我们记载的，因为犁地的当怀着希望去犁，打场的也当怀着有分的希望去打场。	¹⁰Or doth he say this indeed for our sakes? For these things are written for our sakes: that he that plougheth, should plough in hope; and he that thrasheth, in hope to receive fruit.
¹¹若是我们给你们散播神圣的恩惠，而收割你们那属物质的东西，还算什么大事？	¹¹If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great matter if we reap your carnal things?
¹²如果别人在你们身上尚且分享权利，我们岂不更该吗？可是我们没有用过这权利，反倒忍受了一切，免得基督的福音受到妨碍。	¹²If others be partakers of this power over you, why not we rather? Nevertheless, we have not used this power: but we bear all things, lest we should give any hindrance to the gospel of Christ.
¹³你们岂不知道为圣事服务的，就靠圣殿生活；供职于祭坛的，就分享祭坛上的物品吗？	¹³Know you not, that they who work in the holy place, eat the things that are of the holy place; and they that serve the altar, partake with the altar?
¹⁴主也这样规定了，传福音的人，应靠福音而生活。	¹⁴So also the Lord ordained that they who preach the gospel, should live by the gospel.
¹⁵可是，这些权利我一样也没有用过；我写这话，并非要人这样对待我，因为我宁愿死，也不愿让人使我这夸耀落了空。	¹⁵But I have used none of these things. Neither have I written these things, that they should be so done unto me: for it is good for me to die, rather than that any man should make my glory void.
¹⁶我若传福音，原没有什么可夸耀的，因为这是我不得已的事；我若不传福音，我就有祸了。	¹⁶For if I preach the gospel, it is no glory to me, for a necessity lieth upon me: for woe is unto me if I preach not the gospel.
¹⁷假使我自愿作这事，便有报酬；若不自愿，可是责任已委托给我。	¹⁷For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation is committed to me:
¹⁸这样看来，我的报酬是什么呢？就是传布福音时白白地去传，不享用我在传福音上所有的权利。	¹⁸What is my reward then? That preaching the gospel, I may deliver the gospel without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.
¹⁹我原是自由的，不属于任何人；但我却使自己成了众人的奴仆，为赢得更多的人。	¹⁹For whereas I was free as to all, I made myself the servant of all, that I might gain the more.
²⁰对犹太人，我就成为犹太人，为赢得犹太人；对于在法律下的人，我虽不在法律下，仍成为在法律下的人，为赢得那在法律下的人；	²⁰And I became to the Jews, a Jew, that I might gain the Jews:
²¹对那些法律以外的人，我就成为法律以外的人，为赢得那些法律以外的人；其实，我并不在天主的法律以外，而是在基督的法律之下。	²¹To them that are under the law, as if I were under the law, (whereas myself was not under the law,) that I might gain them that were under the law. To them that were without the law, as if I were without the law, (whereas I was not without the law of God, but was in the law of Christ,) that I might gain them that were without the law.
²²对软弱的人，我就成为软弱的，为赢得那软弱的人；对一切人，我就成为一切，为的是总要救些人。	²²To the weak I became weak, that I might gain the weak. I became all things to all men, that I might save all.
²³我所行的一切，都是为了福音，为能与人共沾福音的恩许。	²³And I do all things for the gospel's sake: that I may be made partaker thereof.
²⁴你们岂不知道在运动场上赛跑的，固然都跑，但只有一个得奖赏吗？你们也应该这样跑，好能得到奖赏。	²⁴Know you not that they that run in the race, all run indeed, but one receiveth the prize? So run that you may obtain.
²⁵凡比武竞赛的，在一切事上都有节制；他们只是为得到可朽坏的花冠，而我们却是为得到不朽坏的花冠。	²⁵And every one that striveth for the mastery, refraineth himself from all things: and they indeed that they may receive a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible one.
²⁶所以我总是这样跑，不是如同无定向的；我这样打拳，不是如同打空气的；	²⁶I therefore so run, not as at an uncertainty: I so fight, not as one beating the air:
²⁷我痛击我身，使它为奴，免得我给别人报捷，自己反而落选。	²⁷But I chastise my body, and bring it into subjection: lest perhaps, when I have preached to others, I myself should become a castaway.
