| 1当地的人民立了约史雅的儿子约阿哈次在耶路撒冷继父位为王。 | 1Then the people of the land took Joachaz the son of Josias, and made him king instead of his father in Jerusalem. |
| 2约阿哈次登极时二十三岁，在耶路撒冷为王三个月， | 2Joachaz was three and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem. |
| 3因为埃及王在耶路撒冷废了他，且要那地方纳一百「塔冷通」银子，一「塔冷通」金子的罚款。 | 3And the king of Egypt came to Jerusalem, and deposed him, and condemned the land in a hundred talents of silver, and a talent of gold. |
| 4以后，埃及王立了他的兄弟厄里雅金为犹大和耶路撒冷王，给他改名叫约雅金；乃苛将他的兄弟约阿哈次带到埃及去了。 | 4And he made Eliakim his brother king in his stead, over Juda and Jerusalem: and he turned his name to Joakim: but he took Joachaz with him, and carried him away into Egypt. |
| 5约雅金登极时年二十五岁，在耶路撒冷为王凡十一年。他行了上主，他的天主视为恶的事。 | 5Joakim was five and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and he did evil before the Lord his God. |
| 6巴比伦王拿步高前来攻击他，用铜链将他綑住，带往巴比伦。 | 6Against him came up Nabuchodonosor king of the Chaldeans, and led him bound in chains into Babylon. |
| 7拿步高也将上主殿内一部份器皿带到巴比伦，安置在巴比伦他的神庙里。 | 7And he carried also thither the vessels of the Lord, and put them in his temple. |
| 8约雅金其余的事蹟，以及他所行的丑恶，和他遭遇的一切，都记载在《以色列和犹大列王实录》上。他的儿子耶苛尼雅继位为王。 | 8But the rest of the acts of Joakim, and his abominations, which he wrought, and the things that were found in him, are contained in the book of the kings of Juda and Israel. And Joachin his son reigned in his stead. |
| 9耶苛尼雅即位时年十八岁，在耶路撒冷作王三个月又十天。他行了上主视为恶的事。 | 9Joachin was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem, and he did evil in the sight of the Lord. |
| 10次年岁首，拿步高派人来，将耶苛尼雅和上主殿内的珍器，带往巴比伦，立了他的叔父漆德克雅为王，管理犹大和耶路撒冷。 | 10And at the return of the year, king Nabuchodonosor sent, and brought him to Babylon, carrying away at the same time the most precious vessels of the house of the Lord: and he made Sedecias his uncle king over Juda and Jerusalem. |
| 11漆德克雅登极时年二十一岁，在耶路撒冷为王凡十一年。 | 11Sedecias was one and twenty years old when he began to reign: and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. |
| 12他行了上主视为恶的事，虽然先知耶肋米亚奉上主的命来劝勉他，他仍不在耶肋米亚面前自谦自卑。 | 12And he did evil in the eyes of the Lord his God, and did not reverence the face of Jeremias the prophet speaking to him from the mouth of the Lord. |
| 13拿步高王虽曾叫他指着天主起誓，他仍背叛了拿步高；更加执拗顽固，总不肯归依上主，以色列的天主。 | 13He also revolted from king Nabuchodonosor, who had made him swear by God: and he hardened his neck and his heart, from returning to the Lord the God of Israel. |
| 14此外，所有的司祭首长和百姓罪上加罪，仿效了异族所行的一切丑恶之事，污辱了上主在耶路撒冷祝圣的殿宇。 | 14Moreover all the chief of the priests, and the people wickedly transgressed according to all the abominations of the Gentiles: and they defiled the house of the Lord, which he had sanctified to himself in Jerusalem. |
| 15上主他们祖先的天主，由于爱惜自己的百姓和自己的居所，时常不断派遣使者警戒他们； | 15And the Lord the God of their fathers sent to them, by the hand of his messengers, rising early, and daily admonishing them: because he spared his people and his dwelling place. |
| 16无奈他们都嘲笑了天主的使者，轻视了他的劝言，讥笑了他的先知，致使上主的怒火发泄在他的百姓身上，直到无法救治。 | 16But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused the prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, and there was no remedy. |
| 17因此，上主使加色丁人的君王前来攻打他们，用刀将他们的壮丁在圣殿里杀死，没有怜恤他们的幼男少女，以及白发耆老；上主将所有的人都交在敌人手中。 | 17For he brought upon them the king of the Chaldeans, and he slew their young men with the sword in the house of his sanctuary, he had no compassion on young man, or maiden, old man or even him that stooped for age, but he delivered them all into his hands. |
| 18加色丁人王又将天主殿内所有的大小器皿，上主殿内的宝物，君王和朝臣的宝物，都带往巴比伦， | 18And all the vessels of the house of the Lord, great and small, and the treasures of the temple and of the king, and of the princes he carried away to Babylon. |
| 19焚毁了上主的殿宇，拆坏了耶路撒冷的城墙，烧了城中所有的宫殿，毁坏了城内一切珍贵的器皿； | 19And the enemies set fire to the house of God, and broke down the wall of Jerusalem, burnt all the towers, and whatsoever was precious they destroyed. |
| 20凡免于刀下的人，都被掳到巴比伦去，作他及他子孙的奴仆，直到波斯帝国兴起。 | 20Whosoever escaped the sword, was led into Babylon, and there served the king and his sons till the reign of the king of Persia. |
| 21这样，就应验了上主藉耶肋米亚的口所说的话：「直到这地域补享了它的安息年，应该在荒芜期中获享安息，直到七十年。」 | 21That the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremias might be fulfilled, and the land might keep her sabbaths: for all the days of the desolation she kept a sabbath, till the seventy years were expired. |
| 22波斯王居鲁士元年，为应验上主藉耶肋米亚的口所说的话，上主感动了波斯王居鲁士的心，叫他出一道号令，向全国颁发上谕说： | 22But in the first year of Cyrus king of the Persians, to fulfill the word of the Lord, which he had spoken by the mouth of Jeremias, the Lord stirred up the heart of Cyrus king of the Persians who commanded it to be proclaimed through all his kingdom, and by writing also, saying: |
| 23「波斯王居鲁士这样说：上天的神「雅威」，将地上万国交给了我，嘱咐我在犹大的耶路撒冷为他建筑一座殿宇，你们中间凡作他子民的，可以上去；愿他的神与他同在！」 | 23Thus saith Cyrus king of the Persians: All the kingdoms of the earth hath the Lord the God of heaven given to me, and he hath charged me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judea: who is there among you of all his people? The Lord his God be with him, and let him go up. |
