¹犹大王阿哈齐雅的儿子约阿士二十三年，耶胡的儿子约阿哈次在撒玛黎雅登极作以色列王，在位凡十七年。	¹In the three and twentieth year of Joas son of Ochozias king of Juda, Joachaz the son of Jehu reigned over Israel in Samaria, seventeen years.
²他行了上主视为恶的事，随从了乃巴特的儿子雅洛贝罕使以色列陷于罪恶的罪，始终没有离开；	²And he did evil before the Lord, and followed the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, who made Israel to sin, and he departed not from them.
³因此，上主向以色列大发忿怒，使他们不断处于阿兰王哈匝耳和哈匝耳的儿子本哈达得的的权下。	³And the wrath of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he delivered them into the hand of Hazael the king of Syria, and into the hand of Benadad the son of Hazael all days.
⁴约阿哈次便求上主开恩，上主俯听了他，因为他看见以色列实在遭受阿兰王的迫害。	⁴But Joachaz besought the face of the Lord, and the Lord heard him: for he saw the distress of Israel, because the king of Syria had oppressed them:
⁵上主就赐给以色列一位拯救者，救他们脱离阿兰的权下，使以色列子民像从前一样，安居乐业。	⁵And the Lord gave Israel a saviour, and they were delivered out of the hand of the king of Syria: and the children of Israel dwelt in their pavilions as yesterday and the day before.
⁶但是，他们仍不离开雅洛贝罕家使以色列陷于罪恶的罪，始终走这条路，并且在撒玛黎雅还是供着阿舍辣。	⁶But yet they departed not from the sins of Jeroboam, who made Israel to sin, but walked in them: and there still remained a grove also in Samaria.
⁷因此，上主没有给约阿哈次留下什么军队，只留下了五十骑兵，十辆车和一万步兵；因为阿兰王消灭了他们，使他们如同遭人践踏的尘土。	⁷And Joachaz had no more left of the people than fifty horsemen, and ten chariots, and ten thousand footmen: for the king of Syria had slain them, and had brought them low as dust by thrashing in the barnfloor.
⁸约阿哈次其余的事蹟，他的伟大作为和他的英勇，都记载在《以色列列王实录》上。	⁸Rut the rest of the acts of Joachaz, and all that he did, and his valour, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
⁹约阿哈次与先祖同眠，葬在撒玛黎雅；他的儿子耶曷阿士继位为王。	⁹And Joachaz slept with his fathers, and they buried him in Samaria: and Joas his son reigned in his stead.
¹⁰犹大王约阿士三十七年，约阿哈次的儿子耶曷阿士在撒玛黎雅登极作以色列王，在位凡十六年；	¹⁰In the seven and thirtieth year of Joas king of Juda, Joas the son of Joachaz reigned over Israel in Samaria sixteen years.
¹¹他行了上主视为恶的事，没有离开乃巴特的儿子雅洛贝罕使以色列陷于罪恶的罪，始终走了这条路。	¹¹And he did that which is evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, who made Israel to sin, but he walked in them.
¹²耶曷阿士其余的事蹟，他行的一切，以及他与犹大王阿玛责雅交战时所表现的英勇，都记载在《以色列列王实录》上。	¹²But the rest of the acts of Joas, and all that he did, and his valour wherewith he fought against Amasias king of Juda, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
¹³耶曷阿士与列祖同眠，雅洛贝罕坐上了他的王位；耶曷阿士与以色列列王同葬在撒玛黎雅。	¹³And Joas slept with his fathers: and Jeroboam sat upon his throne. But Joas was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel.
¹⁴那时，厄里叟患了不治之症，以色列王耶曷阿士下来看他，伏在他面上哭说：「我父，我父！以色列的战车，以色列的骏马！」	¹⁴Now Eliseus was sick of the illness whereof he died: and Joas king of Israel went down to him, and wept before him, and said: O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel and the guider thereof.
¹⁵厄里叟对他说：「你取弓箭来！」他就取了弓箭来，	¹⁵And Eliseus said to him: Bring a bow and arrows. And when he had brought him a bow, and arrows,
¹⁶先知吩咐王说：「将你的手放在弓上！」他就把手放在弓箭上；厄里叟把自己的手按在君王的手上，	¹⁶He said to the king of Israel: Put thy hand upon the bow. And when he had put his hand, Eliseus put his hands over the king's hands,
¹⁷说：「你打开朝东的窗户。」他就打开了。厄里叟吩咐说：「射箭！」他就射了箭。厄里叟说：「这是上主胜利的一箭；是战胜阿兰的一箭；你要在阿费克打败阿兰，直到将她消灭。」	¹⁷And said: Open the window to the east. And when he had opened it, Eliseus said: Shoot an arrow. And he shot. And Eliseus said: The arrow of the Lord's deliverance, and the arrow of the deliverance from Syria: and thou shalt strike the Syrians in Aphec, till thou consume them.
¹⁸厄里叟又说：「你另取几枝箭来。」他就取了来；先知对王说：「你向地射击！」他射击三次，就停止了。	¹⁸And he said: Take the arrows. And when he had taken them, he said to him: Strike with an arrow upon the ground. And he struck three times and stood still.
¹⁹天主的人向他发怒说：「你该射击五次或六次，才能完全打败阿兰，直到将她消灭。但是现在，你只能三次击败阿兰。」	¹⁹And the man of God was angry with him, and said: If thou hadst smitten five or six or seven times, thou hadst smitten Syria even to utter destruction: but now three times shalt thou smite it.
²⁰厄里叟死了，人安葬了他。第二年春，有一群摩阿布游击队来犯国土，	²⁰And Eliseus died, and they buried him. And the rovers from Moab came into the land the same year.
²¹那时有人正去埋葬一个死人，忽然看见这群游击队，便将死人抛在厄里叟的坟墓里走了。那个死人一接触到厄里叟的骨骸，就复活站起来。	²¹And some that were burying a man, saw the rovers, and cast the body into the sepulchre of Eliseus. And when it had touched the bones of Eliseus, the man came to life, and stood upon his feet.
²²约阿哈次年间，阿兰王哈匝耳常是压迫以色列人，	²²Now Hazael king of Syria afflicted Israel all the days of Joachaz:
²³但上主因了同亚巴郎、依撒格和雅各伯所立的盟约，恩待、怜悯、眷顾了以色列人，不愿加以消灭，所以没有将他们从自己面前抛弃。	²³And the Lord had mercy on them, and returned to them because of his covenant, which he had made with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob: and he would not destroy them, nor utterly cast them away, unto this present time.
²⁴阿兰王哈匝耳死后，他的儿子本哈达得继位为王。	²⁴And Hazael king of Syria died, and Benadad his son reigned in his stead.
²⁵约阿哈次的儿子耶曷阿士从哈匝耳的儿子本哈达得手中，又夺回了他父亲约阿哈次在战争中所失去的城市；耶曷阿士三次击败了他，收复了以色列失去的城市。	²⁵Now Joas the son of Joachaz, took the cities out of the hand of Benadad, the son of Hazael, which he had taken out of the hand of Joachaz his father by war, three times did Joas beat him, and he restored the cities to Israel.
