| 1阿哈布死后，摩阿布就背叛了以色列。 | 1And Moab rebelled against Israel, after the death of Achab. |
| 2阿哈齐雅在撒玛黎雅从楼上的栏杆上跌下来就病了，遂打发使者，吩咐他们说：「你们去求问厄刻龙的神巴耳则步布，我这病还能好吗？」 | 2And Ochozias fell through the lattices of his upper chamber which he had in Samaria, and was sick: and he sent messengers, saying to them: Go, consult Beelzebub, the god of Accaron, whether I shall recover of this my illness. |
| 3上主的使者对提市贝人厄里亚说：「快起身，去迎接撒玛黎雅王的使者，问他们说：你们去求问厄刻龙的神巴耳则步布，难道在以色列没有天主吗？ | 3And an angel of the Lord spoke to Elias the Thesbite, saying: Arise, and go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say to them: Is there not a God in Israel, that ye go to consult Beelzebub the god of Accaron? |
| 4为此，上主这样说：你再不能从你所上的床上下来，你必定要死。」厄里亚就去了。 | 4Wherefore thus saith the Lord: From the bed, on which thou art gone up, thou shalt not come down, but thou shalt surely die. And Elias went away. |
| 5使者回来见了君王，阿哈齐雅问他们说：「你们为什么回来了。」 | 5And the messengers turned back to Ochozias. And he said to them: Why are you come back? |
| 6他们回答说：「有一个人迎上我们来，对我们说：你们回去见打发你们来的君王，对他说：上主这样说：你派人去求问厄刻龙的神巴耳则步布，难道在以色列没有天主吗？为此，你再不能从你所上的床上下来，你必定要死。」 | 6But they answered him: A man met us, and said to us: Go, and return to the king, that sent you, and you shall say to him: Thus saith the Lord: Is it because there was no God in Israel that thou sendest to Beelzebub the god of Accaron? Therefore thou shalt not come down from the bed, on which thou art gone up, but then shalt surely die. |
| 7君王问他们说：「迎上你们，且告诉你们这些话的是怎样的一个人？」 | 7And he said to them: What manner of man was he who met you, and spoke these words? |
| 8他们回答说：「是一个身穿皮毛衣，腰束皮带的人。」君王说：「这一定是提市贝人厄里亚。」 | 8But they said: A hairy man with a girdle of leather about his loins. And he said: It is Elias the Thesbite. |
| 9王遂派五十夫长，带领五十人，去见厄里亚。他上去见厄里亚，厄里亚正坐在山顶上。五十夫长便对厄里亚说：「天主的人，王命你下去。」 | 9And he sent to him a captain of fifty, and the fifty men that were under him. And he went up to him, and as he was sitting on the top of a hill, said to him: Man of God, the king hath commanded that thou come down. |
| 10厄里亚回答五十夫长说：「如果我是天主的人，愿火从天降下，吞噬你和你这五十人！」果然有火从天降下，吞噬了他和那五十人。 | 10And Elias answering, said to the captain of fifty: If I be a man of God, let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee, and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him, and the fifty that were with him. |
| 11王又另派一个五十夫长，带领五十人，去见厄里亚。五十夫长上去对厄里亚说：「天主的人！王这样吩咐：要你快下山！」 | 11And again he sent to him another captain of fifty men, and his fifty with him. And he said to him: Man of God, thus saith the king: Make haste and come down. |
| 12厄里亚回答说：「如果我是天主的人，愿火从天降下，吞噬你和你这五十人。」果然天主的火从天降下，吞噬了他和那五十人。 | 12Elias answering, said: If I be a man of God, let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And fire came down from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty. |
| 13王又派第三个五十夫长，带领五十人去。这第三个五十夫长上去，一来到就屈膝跪在厄里亚面前，哀求他说：「天主的人，愿我的生命和这五十人的生命，在你眼中有点价值！ | 13Again he sent a third captain of fifty men, and the fifty that were with him. And when he was come, he fell upon his knees, before Elias, and besought him and said: Man of God, despise not my life, and the lives of thy servants that are with me. |
| 14有火从天降下，吞噬了前两个五十夫长，和他们每人带领的五十人；现在，愿我的生命在你眼中有点价值！」 | 14Behold fire came down from heaven, and consumed the two first captains of fifty men, and the fifties that were with them: but now I beseech thee to spare my life. |
| 15上主的使者对厄里亚说：「你同他下去！不必害怕。」厄里亚就起身同他一起下去见君王， | 15And the angel of the Lord spoke to Elias, saying: Go down with him, fear not. He arose therefore, and went down with him to the king, |
| 16对君王说：「上主这样说：由于你打发使者去求问厄刻龙的神巴耳则步布，好像在以色列没有天主可以向他求问指示一样，因此，你再不能从你所上的床上下来，你必定要死。」 | 16And said to him: Thus saith the Lord: Because thou hast sent messengers to consult Beelzebub the god of Accaron, as though there were not a God in Israel, of whom thou mightest inquire the word; therefore from the bed on which thou art gone up, thou shalt not come down, but thou shalt surely die. |
| 17阿哈齐雅果然如上主藉厄里亚所说的话死了；因为他没有儿子，他的兄弟耶曷兰继位为王，时在犹大王约沙法特的儿子约兰第二年。 | 17So he died according to the word of the Lord which Elias spoke, and Joram his brother reigned in his stead, in the second year of Joram the son of Josaphat king of Juda: because he had no son. |
| 18阿哈齐雅其余的事蹟，都记载在《以色列列王实录》上。 | 18But the rest of the acts of Ochozias which he did, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel? |
