| 1达味的最后遗言如下：叶瑟的儿子达味的神谕，至高者所举扬的人，雅各伯的天主的受傅者，以色列的善歌咏者的神谕： | 1Now these are David's last words. David the son of Isai said: The man to whom it was appointed concerning the Christ of the God of Jacob, the excellent psalmist of Israel said: |
| 2上主的神藉着我说话，他的话语在我唇舌上。 | 2The spirit of the Lord hath spoken by me and his word by my tongue. |
| 3雅各伯的天主说过，以色列的磐石曾向我说：那以正义统治人的，那以敬畏天主之情统治人的， | 3The God of Israel said to me, the strong one of Israel spoke, the ruler of men, the just ruler in the fear of God. |
| 4有如日出时的晨光，无云的黎明，雨后射在绿草地上的光辉。 | 4As the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, shineth in the morning without clouds, and as the grass springeth out of the earth by rain. |
| 5的确，我的家必屹立在天主前，因为他与我结了永久的盟约，妥善而有保证的盟约，他岂能不给我产生救恩和喜乐？ | 5Neither is my house so great with God, that he should make with me an eternal covenant, firm in all things and assured. For he is all my salvation, and all my will: neither is there ought thereof that springeth not up. |
| 6但匪徒败类必像被抛弃荆棘，谁也不敢去用手拿； | 6But transgressors shall all of them be plucked up as thorns: which are not taken away with hands. |
| 7谁若去触动，必先用刀或枪柄打伐，而后用火烧尽。 | 7And if a man will touch them, he must be armed with iron and with the staff of a lance: but they shall be set on fire and burnt to nothing. |
| 8以下是达味勇将的名单：哈革摩尼人依市巴耳是三杰之首，他一次挥矛击杀了八百人。 | 8These are the names of the valiant men of David. Jesbaham sitting in the chair was the wisest chief among the three, he was like the most tender little worm of the wood, who killed eight hundred men at one onset. |
| 9其次为阿曷亚人多多的儿子厄肋阿匝尔，也是三杰之一。有一次他同达味在帕斯达明，当培肋舍特人正在那里集合准备交战时，以色列人退却， | 9After him was Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three valiant men that were with David when they defied the Philistines, and they were there gathered together to battle. |
| 10他却固守阵地，击杀培肋舍特人，直到他的手麻痺无力，贴在刀柄上。上主在那一天使他大获胜利，民众折回，在他身后专夺财物。 | 10And when the men of Israel were gone away, he stood and smote the Philistines till his hand was weary, and grew stiff with the sword: and the Lord wrought a great victory that day: and the people that were fled away, returned to take spoils of them that were slain. |
| 11再其次是哈辣黎人厄拉的儿子沙玛。那时，培肋舍特人在肋希集合；在那里有一块长满扁豆的田地。当民众由培肋舍特人面前逃走时， | 11And after him was Semma the son of Age of Arari. And the Philistines were gathered together in a troop: for there was a field full of lentils. And when the people were fled from the face of the Philistines, |
| 12他独自立在田间，保护了那块田地，杀败了培肋舍特人：如此上主又使他大获胜利。 | 12He stood in the midst of the field, and defended it, and defeated the Philistines: and the Lord gave a great victory. |
| 13在开始收割时，培肋舍特的军队在勒法因平原扎了营，三十勇士中，有三位下到阿杜蓝山砦，来见达味。 | 13Moreover also before this the three who were princes among the thirty, went down and came to David in the harvest time into the cave of Odollam: and the camp of the Philistines was in the valley of the giants. |
| 14达味恰在山砦内，而培肋舍特人当时在白冷驻防。 | 14And David was then in a hold. and there was a garrison of the Philistines then in Bethlehem. |
| 15达味渴望着说：「谁能从白冷城门旁的井中，给我打一点水来喝？」 | 15And David longed, and said: O that some man would get me a drink of the water out of the cistern, that is in Bethlehem, by the gate. |
| 16那三位勇士就冲过培肋舍特人的营幕，从白冷城门旁的井里打了水，将水取来，带到达味前，但他不肯喝，反而将水奠于上主前， | 16And the three valiant men broke through the camp of the Philistines, and drew water out of the cistern of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and brought it to David: but he would not drink, but offered it to the Lord, |
| 17说：「上主决不许我做这事；我岂能喝那些冒生命危险者的血？」所以他不肯喝。这是这三位勇士所做的事。 | 17Saying: The Lord be merciful to me, that I may not do this: shall I drink the blood of these men that went, and the peril of their lives? therefore he would not drink. These things did these three mighty men. |
| 18责鲁雅的儿子，约阿布的兄弟，阿彼瑟是三十勇士的领袖，他挥舞长矛击杀了三百人，因此，在三十勇士中出了名。 | 18Abisai also the brother of Joab, the son of Sarvia, was chief among three: and he lifted up his spear against three hundred whom he slew, and he was renowned among the three, |
| 19他是三十勇士中最出名的，所以做了他们的领袖，但尚不及前三杰。 | 19And the noblest of three, and was their chief, but to the three first he attained not. |
| 20约雅达的儿子贝纳雅原是卡贝责耳人，是一位英勇，大有作为的人。他击杀了摩阿布人阿黎耳的两个儿子，又在下雪天，下到旱井里打死了一只狮子。 | 20And Banaias the son of Joiada a most valiant man, of great deeds, of Cabseel: he slew the two lions of Moab, and he went down, and slew a lion in the midst of a pit, in the time of snow. |
| 21他也曾打死了一个埃及大汉。这埃及人手中拿着长矛，他只拿着一根棍子，就下去与他对抗，从那埃及人手里把长矛夺过来，用那长矛将他杀死。 | 21He also slew an Egyptian, a man worthy to be a sight, having a spear in his hand: but he went down to him with a rod, and forced the spear out of the hand of the Egyptian, and slew him with his own spear. |
| 22这是约雅达的儿子贝纳雅做的事，因此，他在三十勇士中也出了名。 | 22These things did Banaias the son of Joiada. |
| 23他比三十勇士更有名望，但尚不及前三杰。达味派他作侍卫长。 | 23And he was renowned among the three valiant men, who were the most honourable among the thirty: but he attained riot to the first three: and David made him of his privy council. |
| 24约阿布的兄弟阿撒耳也是三十勇士中的一位，还有白冷人多多的儿子厄耳哈难， | 24Asael the brother of Joab was one of the thirty, Elehanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem. |
| 25哈洛得人沙玛，哈洛得人厄里卡， | 25Semma of Harodi, Elica of Harodi, |
| 26帕耳提人赫肋兹，特科亚人依刻士的儿子依辣， | 26Heles of Phalti, Hira the son of Acces of Thecua, |
| 27阿纳托特人阿彼厄则尔，胡沙人息贝开， | 27Abiezer of Anathoth, Mobonnai of Husati, |
| 28阿曷亚人匝耳孟，乃托法人玛哈赖， | 28Selmon the Ahohite, Maharai the Netophathite, |
| 29乃托法人巴阿纳的儿子赫肋得，本雅明族基贝亚人黎拜的儿子依泰， | 29Heled the son of Baana, also a Netophathite, Ithai the son of Ribai of Gabaath of the children of Benjamin, |
| 30丕辣通人贝纳雅，加阿士溪人希待， | 30Banaia the Pharathonite, Heddai of the torrent Gaas, |
| 31贝特阿辣巴人阿彼巴耳，巴胡陵人阿次玛委特， | 31Abialbon the Arbathite, Azmaveth of Beromi, |
| 32沙阿耳宾人厄里雅巴，基宗人雅笙， | 32Eliaba of Salaboni. The sons of Jassen, Jonathan, |
| 33哈辣黎人沙玛的儿子约纳堂，哈辣黎人沙辣尔的儿子阿希扬， | 33Semma of Orori, Aliam the son of Sarar the Arorite, |
| 34贝特玛阿加人阿哈斯拜的儿子厄里培肋特，基罗人阿希托费耳的儿子厄里安， | 34Eliphelet the son of Aasbai the son of Machati, Eliam the son of Achitophel the Gelonite, |
| 35加尔默耳人赫兹赖，阿辣布人帕阿赖， | 35Hesrai of Carmel, Pharai of Arbi, |
| 36祚巴人纳堂的儿子依加耳，加得人巴尼， | 36Igaal the son of Nathan of Soba, Bonni of Gadi, |
| 37阿孟人责肋克，贝厄洛特人纳赫赖，他是责鲁雅的儿子约阿布的持戟者； | 37Selec of Ammoni, Naharai the Berothite, armourbearer of Joab the son of Sarvia, |
| 38雅提尔人依辣，雅提尔人加勒布， | 38Ira the Jethrite, Gareb also a Jethrite; |
| 39赫特人乌黎雅：共计三十七人。 | 39Urias the Hethite, thirty and seven in all. |
