| 1五旬节日一到，众人都聚集一处。 | 1And when the days of the Pentecost were accomplished, they were all together in one place: |
| 2忽然，从天上来了一阵响声，好像暴风刮来，充满了他们所在的全座房屋。 | 2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a mighty wind coming, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. |
| 3有些散开好像火的舌头，停留在他们每人头上， | 3And there appeared to them parted tongues as it were of fire, and it sat upon every one of them: |
| 4众人都充满了圣神，照圣神赐给他们的话，说起外方话来。 | 4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they began to speak with divers tongues, according as the Holy Ghost gave them to speak. |
| 5那时，居住在耶路撒冷的，有从天下各国来的虔诚的犹太人。 | 5Now there were dwelling at Jerusalem, Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. |
| 6这声音一响，就聚来了许多人，都仓皇失措，因为人人都听见他们说自己的方言。 | 6And when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded in mind, because that every man heard them speak in his own tongue. |
| 7他们惊讶奇怪地说：「看，这些说话的不都是加里肋亚人吗？ | 7And they were all amazed, and wondered, saying: Behold, are not all these, that speak, Galileans? |
| 8怎么我们每人听见他们说我们出生地的方言呢？ | 8And how have we heard, every man our own tongue wherein we were born? |
| 9我们中有帕提雅人、玛待人、厄蓝人和居住在美索不达米亚、犹太及卡帕多细雅、本都并亚细亚、 | 9Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and inhabitants of Mesopotamia, Judea, and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, |
| 10夫黎基雅和旁非里雅、埃及并靠近基勒乃的利比亚一带的人，以及侨居的罗马人、 | 10Phrygia, and Pamphylia, Egypt, and the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, |
| 11犹太人和归依犹太教的人、克里特人和阿剌伯人，怎么我们都听见他们用我们的话，讲论天主的奇事呢？」 | 11Jews also, and proselytes, Cretes, and Arabians: we have heard them speak in our own tongues the wonderful works of God. |
| 12众人都惊讶犹豫，彼此说：「这是什么事？」 | 12And they were all astonished, and wondered, saying one to another: What meaneth this? |
| 13另有些人却讥笑说：「他们喝醉了酒！」 | 13But others mocking, said: These men are full of new wine. |
| 14伯多禄就同十一位宗徒站起来，高声向他们说：「犹太人和所有居住在耶路撒冷的人！请你们留意，侧耳静听我的话！ | 14But Peter standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and spoke to them: Ye men of Judea, and all you that dwell in Jerusalem, be this known to you, and with your ears receive my words. |
| 15这些人并不像你们所设想的喝醉了，因为才是白天第三时辰； | 15For these are not drunk, as you suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day: |
| 16反而这是藉岳厄尔先知所预言的： | 16But this is that which was spoken of by the prophet Joel: |
| 17『到末日──天主说──我要将我的神倾住在所有有血肉的人身上，你们的儿子和女儿都要说预言，青年人要见异像，老年人要看梦境。 | 17And it shall come to pass, in the last days, (saith the Lord,) I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams. |
| 18甚至在那些日子里，连在我的仆人和我的婢女身上，我也要倾住我的神；他们要讲预言。 | 18And upon my servants indeed, and upon my handmaids will I pour out in those days of my spirit, and they shall prophesy. |
| 19我要在天上显示奇蹟，在下地显示征兆：血、火和烟气。 | 19And I will shew wonders in the heaven above, and signs on the earth beneath: blood and fire, and vapour of smoke. |
| 20在上主的伟大和显赫的日子来临以前，太阳要变成昏暗，月亮要变成血红。 | 20The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and manifest day of the Lord come. |
| 21将来，凡呼号上主名字的人，必然获救。』 | 21And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved. |
| 22诸位以色列人！请听这些话：纳匝肋人耶稣是天主用德能、奇蹟和征兆──即天主藉他在你们中所行的，一如你们所知道的──给你们证明了的人。 | 22Ye men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you, by miracles, and wonders, and signs, which God did by him, in the midst of you, as you also know: |
| 23他照天主已定的计划和预知，被交付了；你们藉着不法者的手，钉他在十字架上，杀死了他； | 23This same being delivered up, by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, you by the hands of wicked men have crucified and slain. |
| 24天主却解除了他死亡的苦痛，使他复活了，因为他不能受死亡的控制， | 24Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the sorrows of hell, as it was impossible that he should be holden by it. |
| 25因为达味指着他说：『我常将上主置于我眼前；我决不动摇，因他在我右边。 | 25For David saith concerning him: I foresaw the Lord before my face: because he is at my right hand, that I may not be moved. |
| 26因此，我心欢乐，我的舌愉快，连我的肉身也要安息于希望中， | 26For this my heart hath been glad, and my tongue hath rejoiced: moreover my flesh also shall rest in hope. |
| 27因为你决不会将我的灵魂遗弃在阴府，也不会让你的圣者见到腐朽。 | 27Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, nor suffer thy Holy One to see corruption. |
| 28你要将生命的道路指示给我，要在你面前用喜乐充满我。』 | 28Thou hast made known to me the ways of life: thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance. |
| 29诸位仁人弟兄！容我坦白对你们讲论圣祖达味的事罢！他死了，也埋葬了，他的坟墓直到今天还在我们这里。 | 29Ye men, brethren, let me freely speak to you of the patriarch David; that he died, and was buried; and his sepulchre is with us to this present day. |
| 30他既是先知，也知道天主曾以誓词对他起了誓，要从他的子嗣中立一位来坐他的御座。 | 30Whereas therefore he was a prophet, and knew that God hath sworn to him with an oath, that of the fruit of his loins one should sit upon his throne. |
| 31他既预见了，就论及默西亚的复活说：『他没有被遗弃在阴府，他的肉身也没有见到腐朽。』 | 31Foreseeing this, he spoke of the resurrection of Christ. For neither was he left in hell, neither did his flesh see corruption. |
| 32这位耶稣，天主使他复活了，我们都是他的见证人。 | 32This Jesus hath God raised again, whereof all we are witnesses. |
| 33他被举扬到天主的右边，由父领受了所恩许的圣神；你们现今所见所闻的，就是他所倾注的圣神。 | 33Being exalted therefore by the right hand of God, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath poured forth this which you see and hear. |
| 34达味本来没有升到天上，但是他却说：『上主对吾主说：你坐在我右边， | 34For David ascended not into heaven; but he himself said: The Lord said to my Lord, sit thou on my right hand, |
| 35等我使你的仇敌，变作你脚的踏板。』 | 35Until I make thy enemies thy footstool. |
| 36所以，以色列全家应确切知道：天主已把你们所钉死的这位耶稣，立为主，立为默西亚了。」 | 36Therefore let all the house of Israel know most certainly, that God hath made both Lord and Christ, this same Jesus, whom you have crucified. |
| 37他们一听见这些话，就心中刺痛，遂向伯多禄和其他宗徒说：「诸位仁人弟兄！我们该作什么？」 | 37Now when they had heard these things, they had compunction in their heart, and said to Peter, and to the rest of the apostles: What shall we do, men and brethren? |
| 38伯多禄便对他们说：「你们悔改罢！你们每人要以耶稣基督的名字受洗，好赦免你们的罪过，并领受圣神的恩惠。 | 38But Peter said to them: Do penance, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of your sins: and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. |
| 39因为这恩许就是为了你们和你们的子女，以及一切远方的人，因为都是我们的上主天主所召叫的。」 | 39For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all that are far off, whomsoever the Lord our God shall call. |
| 40他还讲了很多别的作证的话，并劝他们说：「你们应救自己脱离这邪恶的世代。」 | 40And with very many other words did he testify and exhort them, saying: Save yourselves from this perverse generation. |
| 41于是，凡接受他的话的人，都受了洗；在那一天约增添了三千 人。 | 41They therefore that received his word, were baptized; and there were added in that day about three thousand souls. |
| 42他们专心听取宗徒的训诲，时常团聚，擘饼，祈祷。 | 42And they were persevering in the doctrine of the apostles, and in the communication of the breaking of bread, and in prayers. |
| 43因为宗徒显了许多奇蹟异事，每人都怀着敬畏之情。 | 43And fear came upon every soul: many wonders also and signs were done by the apostles in Jerusalem, and there was great fear in all. |
| 44凡信了的人，常齐集一处，一切所有皆归公用。 | 44And all they that believed, were together, and had all things common. |
| 45他们把产业和财物变卖，按照每人的需要分配。 | 45Their possessions and goods they sold, and divided them to all, according as every one had need. |
| 46每天都成群结队地前往圣殿，也挨户擘饼，怀着欢乐和诚实的心一起进食。 | 46And continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they took their meat with gladness and simplicity of heart; |
| 47他们常赞颂天主，也获得了全民众的爱戴；上主天天使那些得救的人加入会众。 | 47Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord increased daily together such as should be saved. |
