¹扫禄也赞同杀死他。就在那一日，发生了严厉迫害耶路撒冷教会的事；除宗徒外，众人都逃散到犹太和撒玛黎雅乡间。	¹And at that time there was raised a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all dispersed through the countries of Judea, and Samaria, except the apostles.
²虔诚的人共同埋葬了斯德望，也为他大哭了一场。	²And devout men took order for Stephen's funeral, and made great mourning over him.
³扫禄想摧毁教会，进入各家，连男带女都拉去，押到监里。	³But Saul made havock of the church, entering in from house to house, and dragging away men and women, committed them to prison.
⁴那些逃散的人经过各处，宣讲真道的喜讯。	⁴They therefore that were dispersed, went about preaching the word of God.
⁵斐理伯下到撒玛黎雅城，给他们宣讲基督。	⁵And Philip going down to the city of Samaria, preached Christ unto them.
⁶群众都留意斐理伯所讲的话，都同心合意地听教，并看到了他所行的奇蹟。	⁶And the people with one accord were attentive to those things which were said by Philip, hearing, and seeing the miracles which he did.
⁷因为有许多附了邪魔的人，邪魔从他们身上大声喊叫着出去了。有许多瘫痪和瘸子也被治好了。	⁷For many of them who had unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, went out.
⁸为此，那城里的人皆大欢喜。	⁸And many, taken with the palsy, and that were lame, were healed.
⁹有一个人，名叫西满，曾在这城中行过邪术，使撒玛黎雅的百姓惊服，并称自己是一位大人物。	⁹There was therefore great joy in that city. Now there was a certain man named Simon, who before had been a magician in that city, seducing the people of Samaria, giving out that he was some great one:
¹⁰所有的人，从上到下，都听从他，说：「这人就是那称为神的大能者。」	¹⁰To whom they all gave ear, from the least to the greatest, saying: This man is the power of God, which is called great.
¹¹他们听从他，是因为他很久以来，就用邪术使他们惊服；	¹¹And they were attentive to him, because, for a long time, he had bewitched them with his magical practices.
¹²但当他们信服了那传报天主的国，和耶稣基督名字的斐理伯时，男女就都受了洗，	¹²But when they had believed Philip preaching of the kingdom of God, in the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
¹³连西满自己也信服了。他受洗以后，常随从斐理伯；他看到所显的奇蹟和大能，称奇不止。	¹³Then Simon himself believed also; and being baptized, he adhered to Philip. And being astonished, wondered to see the signs and exceeding great miracles which were done.
¹⁴当时，在耶路撒冷的宗徒，听说撒玛黎雅接受了天主的圣道，便打发伯多禄和若望往他们那里去。	¹⁴Now when the apostles, who were in Jerusalem, had heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John.
¹⁵他们二人一到，就为他们祈祷，使他们领受圣神，	¹⁵Who, when they were come, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost.
¹⁶因为圣神还没有降临在任何人身上，他们只因主耶稣的名受过洗。	¹⁶For he was not as yet come upon any of them; but they were only baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
¹⁷那时，宗徒便给他们覆手，他们就领受了圣神。	¹⁷Then they laid their hands upon them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
¹⁸西满看见藉宗徒们的覆手，赋给人圣神，遂献给他们银钱，	¹⁸And when Simon saw, that by the imposition of the hands of the apostles, the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,
¹⁹说：「你们也把这个权柄交给我，为叫我无论给谁覆手，谁就领受圣神。」	¹⁹Saying: Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I shall lay my hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. But Peter said to him:
²⁰伯多禄却向他说：「愿你的银钱与你一起丧亡！因为你想天主的恩赐可用银钱买得。	²⁰Keep thy money to thyself, to perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
²¹在这事上，你没有股，也没有分，因为你在天主前心怀不正。	²¹Thou hast no part nor lot in this matter. For thy heart is not right in the sight of God.
²²所以，你该回心转意，摆脱你这个恶念，祈求主，或者可给你赦免你心中的妄想，	²²Do penance therefore for this thy wickedness; and pray to God, that perhaps this thought of thy heart may be forgiven thee.
²³因为我明知你心怀苦毒，并在邪恶的束缚中。」	²³For I see thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bonds of iniquity.
²⁴西满回答说：「请你们为我祈求主，好叫你们所说的，一点也不要降在我身上。」	²⁴Then Simon answering, said: Pray you for me to the Lord, that none of these things which you have spoken may come upon me.
²⁵二宗徒既作了证，并宣讲了主的圣道，就返回耶路撒冷，一路在撒玛黎雅人的许多乡村中，宣讲了福音。	²⁵And they indeed having testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel to many countries of the Samaritans.
²⁶上主的天使向斐理伯说：「起来，往南行，沿着由耶路撒冷下到迦萨的路走，即旷野中的那条路。」	²⁶Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying: Arise, go towards the south, to the way that goeth down from Jerusalem into Gaza: this is desert.
²⁷他就起来去了。看，有个厄提约丕雅人，是厄提约丕雅女王甘达刻的有权势的太监，也是她宝库的总管；他曾来到耶路撒冷朝圣。	²⁷And rising up, he went. And behold a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch, of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge over all her treasures, had come to Jerusalem to adore.
²⁸他回去的时候，坐在车上诵读《依撒意亚先知》。	²⁸And he was returning, sitting in his chariot, and reading Isaias the prophet.
²⁹圣神就向斐理伯说：「你上前去，走近这辆车子！」	²⁹And the Spirit said to Philip: Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.
³⁰斐理伯就跑过去，听见他诵读《依撒意亚先知》，便说道：「你明白所诵读的吗？」	³⁰And Philip running thither, heard him reading the prophet Isaias. And he said: Thinkest thou that thou understandest what thou readest?
³¹他答说：「若没有人指教我，怎么能够？」于是，请斐理伯上车与他同坐。	³¹Who said: And how can I, unless some man shew me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.
³²他所诵读的那段经正是：「他如同被牵去宰杀的羊，又像羔羊在剪毛者前缄默，他也同样不开口。	³²And the place of the scripture which he was reading was this: He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb without voice before his shearer, so openeth he not his mouth.
³³在他屈辱之时，无人为他申辩。谁能描述他的后代呢？因为他的生命从地上被夺去了。」	³³In humility his judgment was taken away. His generation who shall declare, for his life shall be taken from the earth?
³⁴太监向斐理伯发言说：「请你说：先知说这话是指谁呢？是指自己或是指别人？」	³⁴And the eunuch answering Philip, said: I beseech thee, of whom doth the prophet speak this? of himself, or of some other man?
³⁵斐理伯便开口，从这段经文开始，给他宣讲了耶稣的福音。	³⁵Then Philip, opening his mouth, and beginning at this scripture, preached unto him Jesus.
³⁶他们沿路前行的时候，来到了一个有水的地方，那太监就说：「看，这里有水；还有什么阻挡我受洗呢？」	³⁶And as they went on their way, they came to a certain water; and the eunuch said: See, here is water: what doth hinder me from being baptized?
³⁷【斐理伯答说：「你若全心相信，便可以。」他答说：「我信耶稣基督就是天主子。」】	³⁷And Philip said: If thou believest with all thy heart, thou mayest. And he answering, said: I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
³⁸他就命车停住，斐理伯和太监两人下到水中，斐理伯给他付了洗。	³⁸And he commanded the chariot to stand still; and they went down into the water, both Philip and the eunuch: and he baptized him.
³⁹当他们从水中上来的时候，主的神把斐理伯提去，太监就再看不见他了。他就喜喜欢欢地往前行自己的路。	³⁹And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord took away Philip; and the eunuch saw him no more. And he went on his way rejoicing.
⁴⁰斐理伯却出现在阿左托，以后经过各城，宣讲福音，直到凯撒勒雅。	⁴⁰But Philip was found in Azotus; and passing through, he preached the gospel to all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.
