| 1以色列家！你们应听这话，应听我为你们唱的这首哀歌！ | 1Hear ye this word, which I take up concerning you for a lamentation. The house of Israel is fallen, and it shall rise no more. |
| 2「以色列处女已跌倒，不能再起；摔在地上，无人搀扶。 | 2The virgin of Israel is cast down upon her land, there is none to raise her up. |
| 3因为吾主上主这样论以色列家说：出一千兵的城只生还一百；出一百的，只生还十个。寻求上主者生，作恶者亡。 | 3For thus saith the Lord God: The city, out of which came forth a thousand, there shall be left in it a hundred: and out of which there came a hundred, there shall be left in it ten, in the house of Israel. |
| 4因为上主这样对以色列家说：你们寻求我，才可生存。 | 4For thus saith the Lord to the house of Israel: Seek ye me, and you shall live. |
| 5不可往贝特耳求助，不可往基耳加耳，不可去贝尔舍巴，因为基耳加耳必被掳掠，贝特耳必化为乌有。 | 5But seek not Bethel, and go not into Galgal, neither shall you pass over to Bersabee: for Galgal shall go into captivity, and Bethel shall be unprofitable. |
| 6你们寻求上主，才可生存，免得他如火冲入若瑟家中，烧毁一切，无人能为以色列家扑灭。 | 6Seek ye the Lord, and live: lest the house of Joseph be burnt with fire, and it shall devour, and there shall be none to quench Bethel. |
| 7是他创造了昴星和参星，变昏黑为黎明，使白昼为黑夜，召海水而倾流于地面，他名叫『雅威』。 | 7You that turn judgment into wormwood, and forsake justice in the land, |
| 8他使灭亡闪击强者，使毁灭临于城堡。 | 8Seek him that maketh Arcturus, and Orion, and that turneth darkness into morning, and that changeth day into night: that calleth the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name. |
| 9凡以毒害代替公正，弃正义于地的，是有祸的！ | 9He that with a smile bringeth destruction upon the strong, and waste upon the mighty. |
| 10他们憎恨在城门口主持公道的人，厌恶讲真话的人。 | 10They have hated him that rebuketh in the gate: and have abhorred him that speaketh perfectly. |
| 11为此，你们既然欺压穷人，向他横征钱粮，你们纵然用方石建筑了房屋，却不得住在里面；栽植了美丽的葡萄园，却喝不到园中的酒。 | 11Therefore because you robbed the poor, and took the choice prey from him: you shall build houses with square stone, and shall not dwell in them: you shall plant most delightful vineyards, and shall not drink the wine of them. |
| 12因为我知道你们的罪恶多端，过犯重大：欺压义人，接受贿赂，在城门口冤枉穷人； | 12Because I know your manifold crimes, and your grievous sins: enemies of the just, taking bribes, and oppressing the poor in the gate. |
| 13因此明智人在此时缄默不言，因为这是邪恶的时代。」 | 13Therefore the prudent shall keep silence at that time, for it is an evil time. |
| 14「你们应寻求善，不可寻求恶：这样你们才能生存；上主万军的天主也必与你们同在，正如你们所说的。 | 14Seek ye good, and not evil, that you may live: and the Lord the God of hosts will be with you, as you have said. |
| 15你们应恶恶好善，在城门口主张正义，或许万军的天主上主会怜悯若瑟的遗民。」 | 15Hate evil, and love good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be the Lord the God of hosts may have mercy on the remnant of Joseph. |
| 16为此，万军的天主，吾主上主这样说：「人必在一切广场上哀悼，人必在各街道上说：哀哉！哀哉！并且召农人来吊唁，叫会哭的人来痛哭。 | 16Therefore thus saith the Lord the God of hosts the sovereign Lord: In every street there shall be wailing: and in all places that are without, they shall say: Alas, alas! and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skillful in lamentation to lament. |
| 17在所有的葡萄园中，人必哀哭，因为我要在你中间经过」──上主说。 | 17And in all vineyards there shall be wailing: because I will pass through in the midst of thee, saith the Lord. |
| 18「那仰望上主的日子来临的人，是有祸的！上主的日子为你们有甚么好处？那是黑暗而无光明之日， | 18Woe to them that desire the day of the Lord: to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light. |
| 19好似人逃避了狮子，又遇到了狗熊；进到房屋里，手扶在墙上，却被蛇咬伤。 | 19As if a man should flee from the face of a lion, and a bear should meet him: or enter into the house, and lean with his hand upon the wall, and a serpent should bite him. |
| 20上主的日子岂不是黑暗而没有光明吗？那日实在幽暗而漆黑！」 | 20Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light: and obscurity, and no brightness in it? |
| 21「我痛恨厌恶你们的庆节；你们的盛会，我也不喜悦； | 21I hate, and have rejected your festivities: and I will not receive the odour of your assemblies. |
| 22即使你们给我奉献全燔祭和素祭，我仍不悦纳；即使你们献上肥牲作和平祭，我也不垂顾。 | 22And if you offer me holocausts, and your gifts, I will not receive them: neither will I regard the vows of your fat beasts. |
| 23让你们喧嚷的歌声远离我；你们的琴声，我也不愿再听； | 23Take away from me the tumult of thy songs: and I will not hear the canticles of thy harp. |
| 24只愿公道如水常流，正义像川流不息的江河！ | 24But judgment shall be revealed as water, and justice as a mighty torrent. |
| 25以色列家！你们在旷野中四十年，何尝给我奉献过牺牲和素祭？ | 25Did you offer victims and sacrifices to me in the desert for forty years, O house of Israel? |
| 26你们应抬着自己所造的偶像，即你们的君王撒雇特和你们的星神克汪， | 26But you carried a tabernacle for your Moloch, and the image of your idols, the star of your god, which you made to yourselves. |
| 27因为我必使你们充军到大马士革之外」，名叫「万军的天主」的上主说。 | 27And I will cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, saith the Lord, the God of hosts is his name. |
