¹贝耳沙匝王在位第三年，在以前显现给我的异象之后，又有异象显现给我达尼尔。	¹In the third year of the reign of king Baltasar, a vision appeared to me. I Daniel, after what I had seen in the beginning,
²我观看这异象；我观看时，恍惚见我在厄蓝省的稣撒禁城；在神视中，我恍惚见我在乌来河畔。	²Saw in my vision when I was in the castle of Susa, which is in the province of Elam: and I saw in the vision that I was over the gate of Ulai.
³我举目仰视，看见有一只公绵羊站在河畔，牠有两只角，这两只角都很高，但一只角却高于另一只角，且那较高的是较晚长出来的。	³And I lifted up my eyes, and saw: and behold a ram stood before the water, having two high horns, and one higher than the other, and growing up.
⁴我见那只公绵羊向西、向北、向南牴撞，走兽中没有能抵御牠，能摆脱牠势力的；牠任意行事，自高自大。	⁴Afterward I saw the ram pushing with his horns against the west, and against the north, and against the south: and no beasts could withstand him, nor be delivered out of his hand: and he did according to his own will, and became great.
⁵我定睛注视之时，看见有一只公山羊由西而来，跑遍天下，而脚不着地；这只公山羊在两眼之间，有一只显着的角。	⁵And I understood: and behold a he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and he touched not the ground, and the he goat had a notable horn between his eyes.
⁶牠来到我所见立在河畔而有两只角的公绵羊那里，就愤怒地猛力向牠冲去。	⁶And he went up to the ram that had the horns, which I had seen standing before the gate, and he ran towards him in the force of his strength.
⁷我见牠走近公绵羊前愤怒地觝撞牠，将牠的双角撞断，那公绵羊就再无力抵抗，公山羊把牠击倒在地，用脚践踏，竟没有谁能救公绵羊摆脱牠的势力。	⁷And when he was come near the ram, he was enraged against him, and struck the ram: and broke his two horns, and the ram could not withstand him: and when he had cast him down on the ground, he stamped upon him, and none could deliver the ram out of his hand.
⁸后来，这只公山羊长的极其强大；正当牠极强大的时候，牠那只高大的角被折断了，代替这角而生出来的是四只卓绝的角，向着天下四方；	⁸And the he goat became exceeding great: and when he was grown, the great horn was broken, and there came up four horns under it towards the four winds of heaven.
⁹其中之一又生出一小角来，长得极其高大，向南、向东，亦向着光华之地。	⁹And out of one of them came forth a little horn: and it became great against the south, and against the east, and against the strength.
¹⁰这角逐渐增高，直达天上的万象，且把一些天象和星宿打落在地，加以蹂躏。	¹⁰And it was magnified even unto the strength of heaven: and it threw down of the strength, and of the stars, and trod upon them.
¹¹他又自高自大，直达天象之君，取消了他的日常祭，破坏了他的圣所，且加以劫掠；	¹¹And it was magnified even to the prince of the strength: and it took away from him the continual sacrifice, and cast down the place of his sanctuary.
¹²又在献日常祭处，安放了罪孽，将真理抛弃于地；他如此作了，也成功了。	¹²And strength was given him against the continual sacrifice, because of sins: and truth shall be cast down on the ground, and he shall do and shall prosper.
¹³我听见一位圣者在说话，另一位圣者问那说话的说：「关于废除日常祭，招致毁灭的罪孽，圣所和天军遭蹂躏的异象，要延长到何时呢？」	¹³And I heard one of the saints speaking, and one saint said to another, I know not to whom that was speaking: How long shall be the vision, concerning the continual sacrifice, and the sin of the desolation that is made: and the sanctuary, and the strength be trodden under foot?
¹⁴那说话的回答他说：「要延长二千三百昼夜，以后圣所再要恢愎原状。」	¹⁴And he said to him: Unto evening and morning two thousand three hundred days: and the sanctuary shall be cleansed.
¹⁵我达尼尔见了这异象之后，便渴望明了其中的意义；看见有一个外貌像人的立在我面前，	¹⁵And it came to pass when I Daniel saw the vision, and sought the meaning, that behold there stood before me as it were the appearance of a man.
¹⁶同时，我听见在乌来河中间有人的声音呼喊说：「加俾额尔！给这人解说这异象罢！」	¹⁶And I heard the voice of a man between Ulai: and he called, and said: Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.
¹⁷他便向我站立的地方走来；我见他来近，就害怕起来，俯伏在地；他对我说：「人子，你要明白！这异象是关于末世时期的。」	¹⁷And he came and stood near where I stood: and when he was come, I fell on my face trembling, and he said to me: Understand, O son of man, for in the time of the end the vision shall be fulfilled.
¹⁸他与我说话时，我就昏迷过去了，脸伏于地上；他抚摸了我，使我起来，站在原处。	¹⁸And when he spoke to me I fell flat on the ground: and he touched me, and set me upright,
¹⁹他说：「看，我要把在盛怒末期将要发生的事告诉你，因为这事是关于末期的。	¹⁹And he said to me: I will shew thee what things are to come to pass in the end of the malediction: for the time hath its end.
²⁰你所见具有两角的公绵羊是玛待和波斯君王，	²⁰The ram, which thou sawest with horns, is the king of the Medes and Persians.
²¹多毛的公山羊是雅汪君王，牠两眼之间高大的角是第一位君王，	²¹And the he goat, is the king of the Greeks, and the great horn that was between his eyes, the same is the first king.
²²代替被折断的角而另生出的四只角，是指由他的民族中崛起的四个王国，但没有前一个那样强盛。	²²But whereas when that was broken, there arose up four for it: four kings shall rise up of his nation, but not with his strength.
²³在他们王国的末期，恶贯满盈之时，要兴起一位面貌凶恶，诡计多端的君王。	²³And after their reign, when iniquities shall be grown up, there shall arise a king of a shameless face, and understanding dark sentences.
²⁴他必势力强大，但那力量不是出于自己；他却有惊人的破坏力，他所行的无不成功，要摧毁强有力者和圣民，	²⁴And his power shall be strengthened, but not by his own force: and he shall lay all things waste, and shall prosper, and do more than can be believed. And he shall destroy the mighty, and the people of the saints,
²⁵凭自己的机智必攻击圣民，靠自己的权术获得成功；他心中妄自尊大，趁人不备而毁灭许多人民，且起而攻击万君之君，但终于未经人手而自趋崩溃。	²⁵According to his will, and craft shall be successful in his hand: and his heart shall be puffed up, and in the abundance of all things he shall kill many: and he shall rise up against the prince of princes, and shall be broken without hand.
²⁶关于所说的昼夜数目的异象，是真实的，但你对这异象要保守秘密，因为是关于遥远日期的事而说的。」	²⁶And the vision of the evening and the morning, which was told, is true: thou therefore seal up the vision, because it shall come to pass after many days.
²⁷我达尼尔疲惫患病数日，然后才起来处理君王的政务。我对这异象仍惊奇不已，因我不能明白其中的意义。	²⁷And I Daniel languished, and was sick for some days: and when I was risen up, I did the king's business, and I was astonished at the vision, and there was none that could interpret it.
