申命纪	Deuteronomy
¹苍天，倾听，我要发言；大地，聆听我口要说的话！	¹Hear, O ye heavens, the things I speak, let the earth give ear to the words of my mouth.
²愿我的教训如雨下降，我的言语似露滴落，像降在绿茵上的细雨，像落在青草上的甘霖！	²Let my doctrine gather as the rain, let my speech distil as the dew, as a shower upon the herb, and as drops upon the grass.
³因为我要宣扬上主的名，请赞颂我们的天主！	³Because I will invoke the name of the Lord: give ye magnificence to our God.
⁴他是磐石，他的作为完美无比；他的行径公平正直，他是忠实无妄的天主，公义而又正直。	⁴The works of God are perfect, and all his ways are judgments: God is faithful and without any iniquity, he is just and right.
⁵那不堪称为子女的，自趋堕落，背叛了他，实在是个邪恶败坏的世代！	⁵They have sinned against him, and are nose of his children in their filth: they are a wicked and perverse generation.
⁶愚昧无知的人民，你们就这样报答上主吗？他不是生育你，创造你，使你生存的大父吗？	⁶Is this the return thou makest to the Lord, O foolish and senseless people? Is not he thy father, that hath possessed thee, and made thee, and created thee?
⁷你回想往古的时日，思念历代的岁月；问你的父亲，问你的长辈，他必给你讲述：	⁷Remember the days of old, think upon every generation: ask thy father, and he will declare to thee: thy elders and they will tell thee.
⁸当至高者为民族分配产业时，分布人的子孙时，按照天使的数目，为万民划定了疆界；	⁸When the Most High divided the nations: when he separated the sons of Adam, he appointed the bounds of people according to the number of the children of Israel.
⁹但雅各伯是上主所保留的一分，以色列成为他特有的产业。	⁹But the Lord's portion is his people: Jacob the lot of his inheritance.
¹⁰上主在旷野之地，在野兽咆哮的原野，发现了他，遂将他抱起，加以抚育，加以保护，有如自己的眼珠。	¹⁰He found him in a desert land, in a place of horror, and of vast wilderness: he led him about, and taught him: and he kept him as the apple of his eye.
¹¹老鹰怎样守候自己的窝巢，飞翔在幼雏之上，上主也怎样伸展双翅，把他背在自己的翼上。	¹¹As the eagle enticing her young to fly, and hovering over them, he spread his wings, and hath taken him and carried him on his shoulders.
¹²上主独自领导了他，他旁边并没有外邦的神祇。	¹²The Lord alone was his leader: and there was no strange god with him.
¹³上主使他驰骋于高原之上，以田间的出产养育他，使他享受巖穴间的蜜，坚石中的油，	¹³He set him upon high land: that he might eat the fruits of the fields, that he might suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the hardest stone,
¹⁴牛酪和羊乳，肥美的羔羊和公羊，巴商的公牛与山羊，以及上等的麦面；并以葡萄美酒作你的饮品。	¹⁴Butter of the herd, and milk of the sheep with the fat of lambs, and of the rams of the breed of Basan: and goats with the marrow of wheat, and might drink the purest blood of the grape.
¹⁵雅各伯吃肥了，耶叔戎吃胖了，会踢人了。──的确，你胖了，肥了，饱满了。──他遂抛弃了造他的天主，轻视了救他的磐石。	¹⁵The beloved grew fat, and kicked: he grew fat, and thick and gross, he forsook God who made him, and departed from God his saviour.
¹⁶他们以邪神的敬礼激起他的妒火，以可憎恶的事物，惹他动怒；	¹⁶They provoked him by strange gods, and stirred him up to anger, with their abominations.
¹⁷他们所祭祀的是邪神，而非真神，是向来所不认识的神，是近来新兴，你们的祖先所不敬畏的神。	¹⁷They sacrificed to devils and not to God: to gods whom they knew not: that were newly come up, whom their fathers worshipped not.
¹⁸你忽略了那生你的磐石，忘记了那使你出世的天主。	¹⁸Thou hast forsaken the God that beget thee, and hast forgotten the Lord that created thee.
¹⁹上主一见，大为震怒，遂抛弃了自己的子女，	¹⁹The Lord saw, and was moved to wrath: because his own sons and daughters provoked him.
²⁰说我要掩面不顾他们，要看他们的结局如何；这实在是败坏的一代，毫无信实的子女。	²⁰And he said: I will hide my face from them, and will consider what their last end shall be: for it is a perverse generation, and unfaithful children.
²¹他们以虚妄之神，激起我的怒火，以虚无之物，惹我动怒；我也要以那不成子民的人激起他们的妒火，以愚昧的民族惹他们发怒。	²¹They have provoked me with that which was no god, and have angered me with their vanities: and I will provoke them with that which is no people, and will vex them with a foolish nation.
²²我的怒火一燃起，必烧到阴府的深底，吞灭大地及其出产，焚毁山岳的基础。	²²A fire is kindled in my wrath, and shall burn even to the lowest hell: and shall devour the earth with her increase, and shall burn the foundations of the mountains.
²³我要将灾祸不断加在他们身上，向他们射尽我的箭矢。	²³I will heap evils upon them, and will spend my arrows among them.
²⁴他们必因饥饿而衰弱，必为热症、毒疫所消灭；我还使尖牙的野兽和土中爬行的毒虫伤害他们。	²⁴They shall be consumed with famine, and birds shall devour them with a most bitter bite: I will send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the fury of creatures that trail upon the ground, and of serpents.
²⁵外有刀剑，内有恐怖，使少男少女，乳儿白头，同归于尽。	²⁵Without, the sword shall lay them waste, and terror within, both the young man and the virgin, the sucking child with the man in years.
²⁶我原想粉碎他们，将他们的记念由人间消灭；	²⁶I said: Where are they? I will make the memory of them to cease from among men.
²⁷但我怕仇人自夸，怕敌人误会说：「是我的手得胜了，而不是上主行了这一切。」	²⁷But for the wrath of the enemies I have deferred it: lest perhaps their enemies might be proud, and should say: Our mighty hand, and not the Lord, hath done all these things.
²⁸他们原是无谋的民族，没有一点见识。	²⁸They are a nation without counsel, and without wisdom.
²⁹如果他们有点智慧，定会明了此事，看清未来的局势。	²⁹O that they would be wise and would understand, and would provide for their last end.
³⁰「若不是他们的磐石出卖了他们，上主放弃了他们，一人怎能追击一千，两人怎能打跑一万？」	³⁰How should one pursue after a thousand, and two chase ten thousand? Was it not, because their God had sold them, and the Lord had shut them up?
³¹连我们的仇人也承认，他们的磐石不如我们的磐石。	³¹For our God is not as their gods: our enemies themselves are judges.
³²诚然，他们的葡萄秧，出自索多玛的葡萄园，来自哈摩辣的田园；他们的葡萄是毒葡萄，粒粒葡萄皆酸苦。	³²Their vines are of the vineyard of Sodom, and of the suburbs of Gomorrha: their grapes are grapes of gall, and their clusters most bitter.
³³他们的酒是蛇的毒汁，是蝮蛇的猛烈毒液。	³³Their wine is the gall of dragons, and the venom of asps, which is incurable.
³⁴这事岂不是贮藏在我身旁，封闭在我府库里？	³⁴Are not these things stored up with me, and sealed up in my treasures?
³⁵等到他们失足之时，我必复仇报复；他们灭亡的日子确已临近，给他们预定的命运就要来到。	³⁵Revenge is mine, and I will repay them in due time, that their foot may slide: the day of destruction is at hand, and the time makes haste to come.
³⁶因为上主要卫护自己的人民，怜恤自己的仆人。当他看见他们的能力已逝，奴隶与自由人已到绝境，	³⁶The Lord will judge his people, and will have mercy on his servants: he shall see that their hand is weakened, and that they who were shut up have also failed, and they that remained are consumed.
³⁷必问说：「他们的神祇在那里，他们投靠的磐石究在何处？	³⁷And he shall say: Where are their gods, in whom they trusted?
³⁸一向吃他们祭牲脂肪的，喝他们奠祭酒浆的，都在那里？让他们起来援助你们罢！让他们做你们的保障罢！	³⁸Of whose victims they ate the fat, and drank the wine of their drink offerings: let them arise and help you, and protect you in your distress.
³⁹现在你们应认清，只有我是『那一位』，除我以外没有别神；我使人死，也使人活；我击伤人，也加以治疗；谁也不能由我手中救出。	³⁹See ye that I alone am, and there is no other God besides me: I will kill and I will make to live: I will strike, and I will heal, and there is none that can deliver out of my hand.
⁴⁰我向天举手宣誓：我生活，至于永远！	⁴⁰I will lift up my hand to heaven, and I will say: I live for ever.
⁴¹我一磨亮我的刀剑，我一掌握裁判权，必向我的敌人雪恨，对恨我的人报复。	⁴¹If I shall whet my sword as the lightning, and my hand take hold on judgment: I will render vengeance to my enemies, and repay them that hate me.
⁴²我要使我的箭矢醉饮鲜血，使我的刀剑吞食血肉；阵亡和俘虏的鲜血，仇敌将领的头颅。」	⁴²I will make my arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh, of the blood of the slain and of the captivity, of the bare head of the enemies.
⁴³万国，你们应向他的百姓祝贺！因为上主必为自己的仆人报血仇，向仇敌报复，圣洁自己的土地和百姓。	⁴³Praise his people, ye nations, for he will revenge the blood of his servants: and will render vengeance to their enemies, and he will be merciful to the land of his people.
⁴⁴梅瑟和农的儿子若苏厄前来，将这篇诗歌的话朗诵给百姓听。	⁴⁴So Moses came and spoke all the words of this canticle in the ears of the people, and Josue the son of Nun.
⁴⁵梅瑟向全以色列人一朗诵完了，	⁴⁵And he ended all these words, speaking to all Israel.
⁴⁶就对他们说：「你们应把我今日警告你们的一切话记在心内，好吩咐你们的子孙，谨守遵行这法律上的一切话。	⁴⁶And he said to them: Set your hearts on all the words, which I testify to you this day: which you shall command your children to observe and to do, and to fulfill all that is written in this law:
⁴⁷因为这为你们不是空洞的话，而是关系你们的生命；由于遵守这话，你们才能在过约但河后所要占领的地上，长久居留。」	⁴⁷For they are not commanded you in vain, but that every one should live in them, and that doing them you may continue a long time in the land whither you are going over the Jordan to possess it.
⁴⁸上主就在当天对梅瑟说：	⁴⁸And the Lord spoke to Moses the same day, saying:
⁴⁹「你到摩阿布去，上这座阿巴陵山，即面对耶里哥的乃波山上去，观看我要给以色列子民作产业的客纳罕地。	⁴⁹Go up into this mountain Abarim, (that is to say, of passages,) unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab over against Jericho: and see the land of Chanaan, which I will deliver to the children of Israel to possess, and die thou in the mountain.
⁵⁰你要死在你所上的山上，归到你本族那里，像你哥哥亚郎死在曷尔山，归到他本族那里一样。	⁵⁰When thou art gone up into it thou shalt be gathered to thy people, as Aaron thy brother died in mount Her, and was gathered to his people:
⁵¹因为你们在亲旷野，卡德士的默黎巴水边，在以色列子民中对我失信，没有在他们中尊我为圣；	⁵¹Because you trespassed against me in the midst of the children of Israel, at the waters of contradiction in Cades of the desert of Sin: and you did not sanctify me among the children of Israel.
⁵²为此，我赐给以色列子民的地方，你只可由对面眺望，却不能进去。」	⁵²Thou shalt see the land before thee, which I will give to the children of Israel, but thou shalt not enter into it.
