申命纪	Deuteronomy
¹我今日吩咐你的一切诫命，你们应谨守遵行，好使你们生存，人数增多，能去占领上主向你们的祖先所誓许的地方。	¹All the commandments, that I command thee this day, take great care to observe: that you may live, and be multiplied, and going in may possess the land, for which the Lord swore to your fathers.
²你当记念上主你的天主使你这四十年在旷野中所走的路程，是为磨难你，试探你，愿知道你的心怀，是否愿遵守他的诫命。	²And thou shalt remember all the way through which the Lord thy God hath brought thee for forty years through the desert, to afflict thee and to prove thee, and that the things that were in thy heart might be made known, whether thou wouldst keep his commandments or no.
³他磨难了你，使你感到饥饿，却以你和你祖先所不认识的『玛纳』，养育了你，叫你知道人生活不但靠食物，而且也靠上主口中所发的一切言语生活。	³He afflicted thee with want, and gave thee manna for thy food, which neither thou nor thy fathers knew: to shew that not in bread alone doth man live, but in every word that proceedeth from the mouth of God.
⁴这四十年来，你身上的衣服没有穿破，你的脚也没有肿。	⁴Thy raiment, with which thou wast covered, hath not decayed for age, and thy foot is not worn, lo this is the fortieth year,
⁵为此，你要明了：上主你的天主管教你，如人管教自己的儿子一样；	⁵That thou mayst consider in thy heart, that as a man traineth up his son, so the Lord thy God hath trained thee up.
⁶所以你当谨守上主你天主的诫命，遵行他的道路，敬畏他。	⁶That thou shouldst keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways, and fear him.
⁷因为上主你的天主快要领你进入肥美的土地，那里有溪流，有泉水，有深渊之水由谷中和山中流出；	⁷For the Lord thy God will bring thee into a good land, of brooks and of waters, and of fountains: in the plains of which and the hills deep rivers break out:
⁸那地出产小麦、大麦、葡萄、无花果和石榴；那地出产橄榄、油和蜂蜜；	⁸A land of wheat, and barley, and vineyards, wherein fig trees and pomegranates, and oliveyards grow: a land of oil and honey.
⁹在那地你决不缺粮吃，在那里你将一无所缺；那地方的石头是铁，由山中可以采铜。	⁹Where without any want thou shalt eat thy bread, and enjoy abundance of all things: where the stones are iron, and out of its hills are dug mines of brass:
¹⁰几时你吃饱了，应感谢上主你的天主，因为是他赐给你这样肥美的土地。	¹⁰That when thou hast eaten, and art full, thou mayst bless the Lord thy God for the excellent land which he hath given thee.
¹¹你应小心，别忘记上主你的天主，而不遵守我今天吩咐你的诫命、规则和法令。	¹¹Take heed, and beware lest at any time thou forget the Lord thy God, and neglect his commandments and judgments and ceremonies, which I command thee this day:
¹²当你吃饱了，建造了华美房屋居住，	¹²Lest after thou hast eaten and art filled, hast built goodly houses, and dwelt in them,
¹³牛群羊群加多，金银增加，你所有的一切都增加了，	¹³And shalt have herds of oxen and flocks of sheep, and plenty of gold and of silver, and of all things,
¹⁴你要小心，不要心高气傲，以致忘记了由埃及地，由为奴之家，领你出来的上主你的天主，	¹⁴Thy heart be lifted up, and thou remember not the Lord thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage:
¹⁵是他领你经过了辽阔可怖，有火蛇蝎子的旷野，经过了干旱无水之地；是他使水由坚硬的磐石中为你流出，	¹⁵And was thy leader in the great and terrible wilderness, wherein there was the serpent burning with his breath, and the scorpion and the dipsas, and no waters at all: who brought forth streams out of the hardest rock,
¹⁶是他在旷野内，以你祖先不认识的『玛纳』养育了你；他这样磨难你，试探你，终究是为使你获得幸福。	¹⁶And fed thee in the wilderness with manna which thy fathers knew not. And after he had afflicted and proved thee, at the last he had mercy on thee,
¹⁷你心里不要想：『这是我的力量，我手臂的能力，给我造就了这样的财富。』	¹⁷Lest thou shouldst say in thy heart: My own might, and the strength of my own hand have achieved all these things for me.
¹⁸你应记得上主你的天主，因为是他赐给你得财富的能力，为实践他对你祖先起誓订立的盟约，就如今日一样。	¹⁸But remember the Lord thy God, that he hath given thee strength, that he might fulfill his covenant, concerning which he swore to thy fathers, as this present day sheweth.
¹⁹如果你真忘记了上主你的天主，而随从别的神，奉事敬拜他们，我今日对你们作证：你们必要灭亡，	¹⁹But if thou forget the Lord thy God, and follow strange gods, and serve and adore them: behold now I foretell thee that thou shalt utterly perish.
²⁰上主怎样由你们面前毁灭了那些民族，你们也要怎样遭受毁灭，因为你们没有听从上主你们天主的声音。	²⁰As the nations, which the Lord destroyed at thy entrance, so shall you also perish, if you be disobedient to the voice of the Lord your God.
