| 1你们作子女的，要在主内听从你们的父母，因为这是理所当然的。 | 1Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is just. |
| 2「孝敬你的父亲和母亲──这是附有恩许的第一条诫命── | 2Honour thy father and thy mother, which is the first commandment with a promise: |
| 3为使你得到幸福，并在地上延年益寿。」 | 3That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest be long lived upon earth. |
| 4你们作父母的，不要惹你们的子女发怒；但要用主的规范和训诫，教养他们。 | 4And you, fathers, provoke not your children to anger; but bring them up in the discipline and correction of the Lord. |
| 5你们作奴仆的，要战战兢兢，以诚实的心，听从你们肉身的主人，如同听从基督一样。 | 5Servants, be obedient to them that are your lords according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in the simplicity of your heart, as to Christ: |
| 6不要只在人眼前服事，好像单讨人的喜欢，而要像基督的仆人，从心里遵行天主的旨意： | 6Not serving to the eye, as it were pleasing men, but, as the servants of Christ doing the will of God from the heart, |
| 7甘心服事，好像服事主，而非服事人， | 7With a good will serving, as to the Lord, and not to men. |
| 8因为你们知道：每一个人，或为奴的，或自主的，不论行了什么善事，都要按他所行的领取主的赏报。 | 8Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man shall do, the same shall he receive from the Lord, whether he be bond, or free. |
| 9至于你们作主人的，要同样对待奴仆，戒用恐吓，因为你们知道，他们和你们在天上同有一个主，而且他是不看情面的。 | 9And you, masters, do the same things to them, forbearing threatenings, knowing that the Lord both of them and you is in heaven; and there is no respect of persons with him. |
| 10此外，你们务要在主内，藉他的能力作坚强的人。 | 10Finally, brethren, be strengthened in the Lord, and in the might of his power. |
| 11要穿上天主的全副武装，为能抵抗魔鬼的阴谋， | 11Put you on the armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the deceits of the devil. |
| 12因为我们战斗不是对抗血和肉，而是对抗率领者，对抗掌权者，对抗这黑暗世界的霸主，对抗天界里邪恶的鬼神。 | 12For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood; but against principalities and power, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places. |
| 13为此，你们应拿起天主的全副武装，为使你们在邪恶的日子能够抵得住，并在获得全胜之后，仍屹立不动。 | 13Therefore take unto you the armour of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and to stand in all things perfect. |
| 14所以要站稳！用真理作带，束起你们的腰，穿上正义作甲， | 14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of justice, |
| 15以和平的福音作准备走路的鞋，穿在脚上； | 15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace: |
| 16此外，还要拿起信德作盾牌，使你们能以此扑灭恶者的一切火箭； | 16In all things taking the shield of faith, wherewith you may be able to extinguish all the fiery darts of the most wicked one. |
| 17并载上救恩当盔，拿着圣神作利剑，即天主的话， | 17And take unto you the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit (which is the word of God). |
| 18时时靠着圣神，以各种祈求和哀祷祈祷；且要醒寤不倦，为众圣徒祈求， | 18By all prayer and supplication praying at all times in the spirit; and in the same watching with all instance and supplication for all the saints: |
| 19也为我祈求，使我在开口的时候，赐我能说相称的话，能放心大胆地传扬福音的奥秘── | 19And for me, that speech may be given me, that I may open my mouth with confidence, to make known the mystery of the gospel. |
| 20为这福音我竟作了带锁链的使者──使我能放心大胆，照我应该宣讲的去宣讲。 | 20For which I am an ambassador in a chain, so that therein I may be bold to speak according as I ought. |
| 21今有我可爱的弟兄，且忠于主的服务者提希苛给你们报告一切，好使你们知道我的事和我现在作什么。 | 21But that you also may know the things that concern me, and what I am doing, Tychicus, my dearest brother and faithful minister in the Lord, will make known to you all things: |
| 22我特意打发他到你们那里去，为叫你们知道我们的情形，并叫他安慰你们的心。 | 22Whom I have sent to you for this same purpose, that you may know the things concerning us, and that he may comfort your hearts. |
| 23愿平安、爱德和信德由天主父和主耶稣基督赐与众弟兄！ | 23Peace be to the brethren and charity with faith, from God the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. |
| 24愿恩宠与那些以永恒不变的爱爱我们的主耶稣基督的人同在！ | 24Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in incorruption. Amen. |
