¹上主训示梅瑟说：	¹And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
²「你吩咐以色列子民转回，在米革多耳及海之间的丕哈希洛特前，面对巴耳责丰安营，即在巴耳责丰之前，靠近海边安营。	²Speak to the children of Israel: Let them turn and encamp over against Phihahiroth which is between Magdal and the sea over against Beelsephon: you shall encamp before it upon the sea.
³如此，法郎必然以为以色列子民在国境内迷了路，旷野困住了他们。	³And Pharao will say of the children of Israel: They are straitened in the land, the desert hath shut them in.
⁴我要使法郎心硬，在后追赶他们，这样我将在法郎和他全军身上，大显神能，使埃及人知道我是上主。」以色列子民就照样作了。	⁴And I shall harden his heart, and he will pursue you: and I shall be glorified in Pharao, and in all his army: and the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord. And they did so.
⁵有人报告埃及王说：那百姓逃走了。法郎和他的臣仆对那百姓变了心，说：「我们放走以色列人，不再给我们服役，这是作的什么事？」	⁵And it was told the king of the Egyptians that the people was fled: and the heart of Pharao and of his servants was changed with regard to the people, and they said: What meant we to do, that we let Israel go from serving us?
⁶法郎遂命人准备他的车，亲自率领兵士，	⁶So he made ready his chariot, and took all his people with him.
⁷还带了六百辆精良战车和埃及所有的战车，每辆车上都有战士驾驶。	⁷And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots that were in Egypt: and the captains of the whole army.
⁸上主使埃及王法郎心硬，在后追赶以色列子民；当以色列子民大胆前行的时候，	⁸And the Lord hardened the heart of Pharao king of Egypt, and he pursued the children of Israel: but they were gone forth in a mighty hand.
⁹埃及人在后追赶他们，法郎所有的车马、骑士和步兵就在靠近丕哈希洛特，巴耳责丰对面，以色列子民安营的地方赶上了。	⁹And when the Egyptians followed the steps of them who were gone before, they found them encamped at the sea side: all Pharao's horse and chariots, and the whole army were in Phihahiroth before Beelsephon.
¹⁰当法郎来近的时候，以色列子民举目，看见埃及人赶来，都十分恐怖，向上主哀号，	¹⁰And when Pharao drew near, the children of Israel, lifting up their eyes, saw the Egyptians behind them: and they feared exceedingly, and cried to the Lord.
¹¹也向梅瑟说：「你带我们死在旷野里，难道埃及没有坟墓吗？你为什么这样待我们，将我们从埃及领出来？	¹¹And they said to Moses: Perhaps there were no graves in Egypt, therefore thou hast brought us to die in the wilderness: why wouldst thou do this, to lead us out of Egypt?
¹²我们在埃及不是对你说过这话：不要扰乱我们，我们甘愿服侍埃及人，服侍埃及人比死在旷野里还好呀！」	¹²Is not this the word that we spoke to thee in Egypt, saying: Depart from us that we may serve the Egyptians? for it was much better to serve them, than to die in the wilderness.
¹³梅瑟向百姓说：「你们不要害怕，站着别动，观看上主今天给你们施的救恩，因为你们所见的埃及人，永远再见不到了。	¹³And Moses said to the people: Fear not: stand and see the great wonders of the Lord, which he will do this day: for the Egyptians, whom you see now, you shall see no more for ever.
¹⁴上主必替你们作战，你们应安静等待。」	¹⁴The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.
¹⁵上主向梅瑟说：「你为什么向我哀号，吩咐以色列子民起营前行。	¹⁵And the Lord said to Moses: Why criest thou to me? Speak to the children of Israel to go forward.
¹⁶你举起棍杖，把你的手伸到海上，分开海水，叫以色列子民在海中干地上走过。	¹⁶But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch forth thy hand over the sea, and divide it: that the children of Israel may go through the midst of the sea on dry ground.
¹⁷你看，我要使埃及人的心硬，在后追赶以色列子民；这样我好在法郎和他全军，战车和骑兵身上，大显神能。	¹⁷And I will harden the heart of the Egyptians to pursue you: and I will be glorified in Pharao, and in all his host, and in his chariots, and in his horsemen.
¹⁸我向法郎，向他的战车和骑兵大显神能的时候，埃及人将会知道我是上主。」	¹⁸And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall be glorified in Pharao, and in his chariots and in his horsemen.
¹⁹在以色列大队前面走的天主的使者，就转到他们后面走，云柱也从他们前面转到他们后面停下，	¹⁹And the angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, removing, went behind them: and together with him the pillar of the cloud, leaving the forepart,
²⁰即来到埃及军营和以色列军营中间；那一夜云柱一面发黑，一面发光，这样整夜军队彼此不能接近。	²⁰Stood behind, between the Egyptians' camp and the camp of Israel: and it was a dark cloud, and enlightening the night, so that they could not come at one another all the night.
²¹梅瑟向海伸手，上主就用极强的东风，一夜之间把海水刮退，使海底成为干地。水分开以后，	²¹And when Moses had stretched forth his hand over the sea, the Lord took it away by a strong and burning wind blowing all the night, and turned it into dry ground: and the water was divided.
²²以色列子民便在海中干地上走过，水在他们左右好像墙壁。	²²And the children of Israel went in through the midst of the sea dried up: for the water was as a wall on their right hand and on their left.
²³随后埃及人也赶来，法郎所有的马、战车和骑兵，都跟着他们来到海中。	²³And the Egyptians pursuing went in after them, and all Pharao's horses, his chariots and horsemen through the midst of the sea,
²⁴到了晨时末更，上主在火柱和云柱上，窥探埃及军队，使埃及的军队混乱。	²⁴And now the morning watch was come, and behold the Lord looking upon the Egyptian army through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, slew their host.
²⁵又使他们的车轮脱落，难以行走，以致埃及人说：「我们由以色列人前逃走罢！因为上主替他们作战，攻击埃及人。」	²⁵And overthrew the wheels of the chariots, and they were carried into the deep. And the Egyptians said: Let us flee from Israel: for the Lord fighteth for them against us.
²⁶上主对梅瑟说：「向海伸出你的手，使水回流到埃及人、他们的战车和骑兵身上。」	²⁶And the Lord said to Moses: Stretch forth they hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots and horsemen.
²⁷到了天亮，梅瑟向海伸手，海水流回原处；埃及人迎著水逃跑的时候，上主将他们投入海中。	²⁷And when Moses had stretched forth his hand towards the sea, it returned at the first break of day to the former place: and as the Egyptians were fleeing away, the waters came upon them, and the Lord shut them up in the middle of the waves.
²⁸回流的水淹没了法郎的战车、骑兵和跟着以色列子民来到海中的法郎军队，一个人也没有留下。	²⁸And the waters returned, and covered the chariots and the horsemen of all the army of Pharao, who had come into the sea after them, neither did there so much as one of them remain.
²⁹但是以色列子民在海中干地上走过去，水在他们左右好像牆壁。	²⁹But the children of Israel marched through the midst of the sea upon dry land, and the waters were to them as a wall on the right hand and on the left:
³⁰这样上主在那一天从埃及人手中拯救了以色列人。以色列人看见了埃及人的尸首浮在海边上。	³⁰And the Lord delivered Israel on that day out of the hands of the Egyptians.
³¹以色列人见上主向埃及人显示的大能，百姓都敬畏上主，信了上主和他的仆人梅瑟。	³¹And they saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore, and the mighty hand that the Lord had used against them: and the people feared the Lord, and they believed the Lord, and Moses his servant.
