| 1以后我听见他高声喊说：「惩罚此城的，快来！每人手中应拿着毁灭的工具。」 | 1And he cried in my ears with a loud voice, saying: The visitations of the city are at hand, and every one hath a destroying weapon in his hand. |
| 2看，有六个人从上边朝北的门走来，每人拿着破坏的武器。他们中间有一个人身穿细麻衣，腰间带着书记的墨盒。他们来到，就站在铜祭坛旁。 | 2And behold six men came from the way of the upper gate, which looketh to the north: and each one had his weapon of destruction in his hand: and there was one man in the midst of them clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn at his reins: and they went in, and stood by the brazen altar. |
| 3那停在革鲁宾上的以色列的天主光荣，就由革鲁宾身上升起，来到圣殿的门限上，叫将那身穿细麻衣，腰间带着墨盒的人召来。 | 3And the glory of the Lord of Israel went up from the cherub, upon which he was, to the threshold of the house: and he called to the man that was clothed with linen, and had a writer's inkhorn at his loins. |
| 4上主对他说：「你要走遍此城，即走遍耶路撒冷，凡因城中发生的丑恶之事而悲痛哀号的人，要在他们额上划一个十字记号。」 | 4And the Lord said to him: Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem: and mark Thau upon the foreheads of the men that sigh, and mourn for all the abominations that are committed in the midst thereof. |
| 5以后我听见他向其余的人说：「你们也跟着他走遍全城击杀，你们的眼不要怜视，一点也不要顾惜； | 5And to the others he said in my hearing: Go ye after him through the city, and strike: let not your eyes spare, nor be ye moved with pity. |
| 6把老人、少年、处女、婴儿和妇女都要杀尽灭绝；但凡额上有十字记号的人，不可走近。你们从圣所这里开始。」果然他们就从在圣殿前的长老开始。 | 6Utterly destroy old and young, maidens, children and women: but upon whomsoever you shall see Thau, kill him not, and begin ye at my sanctuary. So they began at the ancient men who were before the house. |
| 7以后又向他们说：「你们要玷污这圣殿，使被杀者充塞整个庭院，然后出去！」他们就出去，在城中击杀。 | 7And he said to them: Defile the house, and ill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew them that were in the city. |
| 8他们去击杀时，只留下我一人。我就伏地掩面呼求说：「哎！吾主上主，你在耶路撒冷发泄你的愤怒，要灭绝以色列的遗民吗？」 | 8And the slaughter being ended I was left: and I fell upon my face, and crying, I said: Alas, alas, alas, O Lord God, wilt thou then destroy all the remnant of Israel, by pouring out thy fury upon Jerusalem? |
| 9他回答我说：「以色列和犹大的家族，实在罪大恶极；此地充满了血债，满城都是暴行，他们还说：上主已离弃了此地，上主看不见。 | 9And he said to me: The iniquity of the house of Israel, and of Juda, is exceeding great, and the land is filled with blood, and the city is filled with perverseness: for they have said: The Lord hath forsaken the earth, and the Lord seeth not. |
| 10因此，我的眼也决不怜视，一点也不顾惜；反而我要把他们的行为，归在他们头上。」 | 10Therefore neither shall my eye spare, nor will I have pity: I will requite their way upon their head. |
| 11看啊，那身穿细麻衣，腰间带着墨盒的人，回来报告说：「我已照你吩咐的做了。」 | 11And behold the man that was clothed with linen, that had the inkhorn at his back, returned the word, saying: I have done as thou hast commanded me. |
