¹依撒格年纪已老，双目失明，看不见了，遂叫了他的大儿厄撒乌来，对他说：「我儿！」他回答说：「我在这里。」	¹Now Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, and he could not see: and he called Esau, his elder son, and said to him: My son? And he answered: Here I am.
²他说：「你看，我已年老，不知道那天就死。	²And his father said to him: Thou seest that I am old, and know not the day of my death.
³现在，你拿器械、箭囊和弓，往田间去打点猎物，	³Take thy arms, thy quiver, and bow, and go abroad: and when thou hast taken some thing by hunting,
⁴照我的嗜好给我作成美味，拿来给我吃，好叫我在未死以前祝福你。」	⁴Make me savoury meat thereof, as thou knowest I like, and bring it, that I may eat: and my soul may bless thee before I die.
⁵依撒格对他的儿子厄撒乌说这话时，黎贝加听见了。厄撒乌就到田间去给父亲打猎，	⁵And when Rebecca had heard this, and he was gone into the field to fulfill his father's commandment,
⁶黎贝加对自己的儿子雅各伯说：「我听见你父亲对你哥哥厄撒乌说：	⁶She said to her son Jacob: I heard thy father talking with Esau thy brother, and saying to him:
⁷你去给我打点猎物来，作成美味，叫我吃了，好在死前当着上主的面祝福你。」	⁷Bring me of thy hunting, and make me meats that I may eat, and bless thee in the sight of the Lord, before I die.
⁸现在，我儿，要听从我吩咐你的话。	⁸Now, therefore, my son, follow my counsel:
⁹到羊群里去，给我拿两只肥美的小山羊来，我要照你父亲的嗜好，给他作成美味，	⁹And go thy way to the flock, bring me two kids of the best, that I may make of them meat for thy father, such as he gladly eateth:
¹⁰你端给父亲吃，好叫他死前祝福你。」	¹⁰Which when thou hast brought in, and he hath eaten, he may bless thee before he die.
¹¹雅各伯对母亲黎贝加说：「但是我哥哥浑身是毛，我却皮肤光滑，	¹¹And he answered her: Thou knowest that Esau my brother is a hairy man, and I am smooth.
¹²万一我父亲摸我，必以为我哄骗他，我必招来咒骂，而不是祝福。」	¹²If my father shall feel me, and perceive it, I fear lest he will think I would have mocked him, and I shall bring upon me a curse instead of a blessing.
¹³母亲对他说：「我儿，咒骂归于我，你只管听我的话，去给我拿来。」	¹³And his mother said to him: Upon me be this curse, my son: only hear thou my voice, and go, fetch me the things which I have said.
¹⁴他遂拿了来，交给了他的母亲，他母亲就照他父亲的嗜好作成了美味。	¹⁴He went, and brought, and gave them to his mother. She dressed meats, such as she knew his father liked.
¹⁵黎贝加又将家中所存的大儿厄撒乌最好的衣服，给她小儿雅各伯穿上；	¹⁵And she put on him very good garments of Esau, which she had at home with her:
¹⁶又用小山羊的皮，包在他的手上和他光滑的颈上，	¹⁶And the little skins of the kids she put about his hands, and covered the bare of his neck.
¹⁷然后将自己作好的美味和饼，放在他儿子雅各伯的手里。	¹⁷And she gave him the savoury meat, and delivered him bread that she had baked.
¹⁸雅各伯来到他父亲前说：「我父！」他答说：「我在这里！我儿，你是谁？」	¹⁸Which when he had carried in, he said: My father? But he answered: I hear. Who art thou, my son?
¹⁹雅各伯对父亲说：「我是你长子厄撒乌。我已照你吩咐的作了。请坐起来，吃我作的野味，好祝福我。」	¹⁹And Jacob said: I am Esau thy firstborn: I have done as thou didst command me: arise, sit, and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me.
²⁰依撒格对他儿子说：「我儿！你怎么这样快就找着了？」雅各伯答说：「因为上主你的天主使我碰得好。」	²⁰And Isaac said to his son: How couldst thou find it so quickly, my son? He answered: It was the will of God, that what I sought came quickly in my way.
²¹依撒格对雅各伯说；「我儿！你前来，让我摸摸，看你是不是我儿厄撒乌？」	²¹And Isaac said: Come hither, that I may feel thee, my son, and may prove whether thou be my son Esau, or not.
²²雅各伯就走近他父亲依撒格前；依撒格摸着他说：「声音是雅各伯的声音，手却是厄撒乌的手。」	²²He came near to his father, and when he had felt him, Isaac said: The voice indeed is the voice of Jacob; but the hands are the hands of Esau.
²³依撒格没有分辨出来，因为他的手，像他哥哥厄撒乌的手一样有毛，就祝福了他。	²³And he knew him not, because his hairy hands made him like to the elder. Then blessing him,
²⁴随后说：「你真是我儿厄撒乌吗？」雅各伯答说：「我是。」	²⁴He said: Art thou my son Esau? He answered: I am.
²⁵依撒格说：「我儿！递给我，叫我吃了你作的野味，好祝福你。」雅各伯于是递过去，他吃了；又给他拿了酒来，他也喝了。	²⁵Then he said: Bring me the meats of thy hunting, my son, that my soul may bless thee. And when they were brought, and he had eaten, he offered him wine also, which after he had drunk,
²⁶他父亲依撒格就对他说：「我儿！你前来吻我。」	²⁶He said to him: Come near me, and give me a kiss, my son.
²⁷他就前去吻了父亲。他父亲一闻到他衣服上的香气，就祝福他说：「看！我儿子的香气，像上主祝福的肥田的香气。	²⁷He came near, and kissed him. And immediately as he smelled the fragrant smell of his garments, blessing him, he said: Behold the smell of my son is as the smell of a plentiful field, which the Lord hath blessed.
²⁸惟愿天主赐与你天上的甘露，土地的肥沃，五谷美酒的丰裕！	²⁸God give thee the dew of heaven, and of the fatness of the earth, abundance of corn and wine.
²⁹愿众民服事你，万国叩拜你！愿你作你兄弟的主人，你母亲的儿子叩拜你！凡诅咒你的，必受诅咒；凡祝福你的，必受祝福。」	²⁹And let peoples serve thee, and tribes worship thee: be thou lord of thy brethren, and let thy mother's children bow down before thee. Cursed be he that curseth thee: and let him that blesseth thee be filled with blessings.
³⁰依撒格一祝福了雅各伯，雅各伯刚由他父亲依撒格面前出来，他哥哥厄撒乌打猎回来了。	³⁰Isaac had scarce ended his words, when Jacob being now gone out abroad, Esau came,
³¹他也作了美味，给他父亲端来，对他父亲说：「我父！请起来，吃你儿预备的野味，好祝福我。」	³¹And brought in to his father meats made of what he had taken in hunting, saying: Arise, my father, and eat of thy son's venison; that thy soul may bless me.
³²他父亲依撒格对他说：「你是谁？」他答说：「我是你儿，你长子厄撒乌。」	³²And Isaac said to him: Why! who art thou? He answered: I am thy firstborn son Esau.
³³依撒格不禁战栗起来，惊问说：「那么，是谁打了猎物给我送了来？并且在你未来以前，我已吃了，已祝福了他；他从此必蒙祝福。」	³³Isaac was struck with fear, and astonished exceedingly: and wondering beyond what can be believed, said Who is he then that even now brought me venison that he had taken, and I ate of all before thou camest? and I have blessed him, and he shall be blessed.
³⁴厄撒乌一听见他父亲说出这话，就放声哀号，对他父亲说：「我父，请你也祝福我！」	³⁴Esau having heard his father's words, roared out with a great cry: and being in a great consternation, said: Bless me also, my father.
³⁵父亲答说：「你弟弟用诡计来夺去了你的祝福。」	³⁵And he said: Thy brother came deceitfully and got thy blessing.
³⁶厄撒乌说：「他不是名叫雅各伯吗？他已两次欺骗了我：以前夺去了我长子的名分，现在又夺去了我的祝福。」继而问说：「你没有给我留下祝福吗？」	³⁶But he said again: Rightly is his name called Jacob; for he hath supplanted me lo this second time: my first birthright he took away before, and now this second time he hath stolen away my blessing. And again he said to his father: Hast thou not reserved me also a blessing?
³⁷依撒格回答厄撒乌说：「看，我已立他作你的主人，将所有的兄弟都给他作仆人，将五谷美酒都供给他了。我儿，我还能为你作什么？」	³⁷Isaac answered: I have appointed him thy lord, and have made all his brethren his servants: I have established him with corn and wine, and after this, what shall I do more for thee, my son?
³⁸厄撒乌对父亲说：「我父，你只有一个祝福吗？我父，你也得祝福我。」厄撒乌就放声大哭。	³⁸And Esau said to him: Hast thou only one blessing, father? I beseech thee bless me also. And when he wept with a loud cry,
³⁹他父亲依撒格回答他说：「看，你住的地方必缺乏肥沃的土地，天上的甘露。	³⁹Isaac being moved, said to him: In the fat of the earth, and in the dew of heaven from above,
⁴⁰你要凭仗刀剑生活，要服事你的弟弟，但你一强盛起来，将由你的颈上，摆脱他的束缚。」	⁴⁰Shall thy blessing be. Thou shalt live by the sword and shalt serve thy brother: and the time shall come, when thou shalt shake off and loose his yoke from thy neck.
⁴¹厄撒乌因为他父亲祝福了雅各伯，便怀恨雅各伯，心下思念说：「为父亲居丧的日期已近，到时我必要杀死我弟弟雅各伯。」	⁴¹Esau therefore always hated Jacob for the blessing wherewith his father had blessed him: and he said in his heart: The days will come of the mourning of my father, and I will kill my brother Jacob.
⁴²有人告诉了黎贝加她大儿厄撒乌所说的话；她便派人叫了她小儿雅各伯来，对他说：「看，你哥哥厄撒乌想要杀你泄恨。	⁴²These things were told to Rebecca: and she sent and called Jacob her son, and said to him: Behold Esau thy brother threateneth to kill thee.
⁴³现在，我儿！你得听我的话，起身逃往哈兰我哥哥拉班那里去，	⁴³Now therefore, my son, hear my voice: arise and flee to Laban my brother to Haran:
⁴⁴与他住些时日，直到你哥哥忿怒消失了。	⁴⁴And thou shalt dwell with him a few days, till the wrath of thy brother be assuaged,
⁴⁵几时你哥哥对你息了怒，忘了你对他作的事，我就派人去，从那里接你回来。为什么我在一日内要丧失你们两个呢？」	⁴⁵And his indignation cease, and he forget the things thou hast done to him: afterwards I will send, and bring thee from thence hither. Why shall I be deprived of both my sons in one day?
⁴⁶黎贝加就对依撒格说：「为了这两个赫特女人，我厌恶得要死；假使雅各伯也从这地的女人中娶一个像这样的赫特女人为妻，我还活着做什么？」	⁴⁶And Rebecca said to Isaac: I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth: if Jacob take a wife of the stock of this land, I choose not to live.
