| 1若瑟在众侍从前不能再抑制自己，就喊说：「叫众人离开我出去！」这样，若瑟使兄弟认出自己来时，没有别人在场。 | 1Joseph could no longer refrain himself before many that stood by: whereupon he commanded that all should go out, and no stranger be present at their knowing one another. |
| 2他便放声大哭，埃及人都听到了，法郎朝廷也听到了。 | 2And he lifted up his voice with weeping, which the Egyptians and all the house of Pharao heard. |
| 3若瑟对兄弟们说：「我就是若瑟，我父亲还在吗？」他的兄弟们不能回答，因为在他面前都吓呆了。 | 3And he said to his brethren: I am Joseph: is my father yet living? His brethren could not answer him, being struck with exceeding great fear. |
| 4若瑟又对兄弟们说：「请你们近前来。」他们就上前去。若瑟说：「我就是你们卖到埃及的弟弟若瑟。 | 4And he said mildly to them: Come nearer to me. And when they were come near him, he said: I am Joseph, your brother, whom you sold into Egypt. |
| 5现在你们不要因为将我卖到这里便自忧自责；这原是天主派遣我在你们以先来，为保全你们的性命。 | 5Be not afraid, and let it not seem to you a hard case that you sold me into these countries: for God sent me before you into Egypt for your preservation. |
| 6地方上的饥荒才过了第二年，还有五年，不能耕种，不能收割。 | 6For it is two years since the famine began to be upon the land, and five years more remain, wherein there can be neither ploughing nor reaping. |
| 7天主派遣我在你们以先来，是为给你们在地上留下后裔，给你们保全多人的性命。 | 7And God sent me before, that you may be preserved upon the earth, and may have food to live. |
| 8所以叫我到这里来的并不是你们，而是天主；是他立我作法郎之父，作他全家的主人，作全埃及地的总理。 | 8Not by your counsel was I sent hither, but by the will of God: who hath made me as it were a father to Pharao, and lord of his whole house, and governor in all the land of Egypt. |
| 9你们急速上到我父亲那里，对他说：你的儿子若瑟这样说：天主立我作了全埃及的主人，请你下到我这里来，不要迟延。 | 9Make haste, and go ye up to my father, and say to him: Thus saith thy son Joseph: God hath made me lord of the whole land of Egypt: come down to me, linger not. |
| 10你和你的儿孙，以及你的羊群牲畜，并你一切所有，都可住在哥笙地，离我不远， | 10And thou shalt dwell in the land of Gessen: and thou shalt be near me, thou and thy sons, and thy sons' sons, thy sheep, and thy herds, and all things that thou hast. |
| 11我好在那里奉养你，免得你和你的眷属，并你一切所有陷于贫乏，因为尚有五年饥荒。 | 11And there I will feed thee, (for there are yet five years of famine remaining), lest both thou perish, and thy house, and all things that thou hast. |
| 12看你们和我的弟弟本雅明都亲眼见到，是我亲口在对你们说话。 | 12Behold, your eyes, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin see that it is my mouth that speaketh to you. |
| 13你们要将我在埃及的一切光荣，和你们亲见的一切，都告诉我父亲，尽速带我父亲下到这里来。」 | 13You shall tell my father of all my glory, and all things that you have seen in Egypt: make haste and bring him to me. |
| 14说毕，便扑在他弟弟本雅明的颈上哭起来了，本雅明也伏在他颈上哭泣。 | 14And falling upon the neck of his brother Benjamin, he embraced him and wept: and Benjamin in like manner wept also on his neck. |
| 15然后与众兄弟亲吻，抱着他们痛哭。这以后，他的兄弟们才敢与他交谈。 | 15And Joseph kissed all his brethren, and wept upon every one of them: after which they were emboldened to speak to him. |
| 16法郎朝廷听说若瑟兄弟来了的消息，法郎和他的臣仆都很高兴。 | 16And it was heard, and the fame was abroad in the king's court: The brethren of Joseph are come: and Pharao with all his family was glad. |
| 17法郎便对若瑟说：「你对你的兄弟们说：你们应这样做：备好牲口，立即往客纳罕地去， | 17And he spoke to Joseph that he should give orders to his brethren, saying: Load your beasts, and go into the land of Chanaan. |
| 18接你们的父亲和家眷到我这里来，我愿赐给你们埃及地最好的出产，使你们享受本地的肥物。 | 18And bring away from thence your father and kindred, and come to me: and I will give you all the good things of Egypt, that you may eat the marrow of the land. |
| 19你再吩咐他们说：你们应这样做：从埃及带些车辆去接你们的子女和妻子，并把你们的父亲接来； | 19Give orders also that they take wagons out of the land of Egypt, for the carriage of their children and their wives: and say: Take up your father, and make haste to come with all speed: |
| 20不要顾惜你们的物品，因为全埃及地最好的出品都归你们享用。」 | 20And leave nothing of your household stuff: for all the riches of Egypt shall be yours. |
| 21以色列的儿子们就这样做了。若瑟依照法郎的吩咐，给了他们一些车辆和路上用的食粮； | 21And the sons of Israel did as they were bid. And Joseph gave them wagons according to Pharao's commandment: and provisions for the way. |
| 22又给了每人一套新衣，至于本雅明，却给了他三百银钱和五套新衣； | 22He ordered also to be brought out for every one of them two robes: but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver with five robes of the best: |
| 23同样，给他父亲送去十匹公驴，满载埃及最好的出品，十匹母驴，满载粮食面饼，和为父亲路上用的食品。 | 23Sending to his father as much money and raiment, adding besides ten he asses to carry off all the riches of Egypt, and as many she asses, carrying wheat and bread for the journey. |
| 24随后打发他的兄弟们走了；当他们离别时，对他们说：「路上不要争吵！」 | 24So he sent away his brethren, and at their departing said to them: Be not angry in the way. |
| 25若瑟的兄弟们由埃及上到客纳罕，他们父亲雅各伯那里， | 25And they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Chanaan to their father Jacob. |
| 26告诉他说：「若瑟还活着，而且做了全埃及国的总理。」雅各伯听了心中淡然，并不相信。 | 26And they told him, saying: Joseph thy son is living: and he is ruler in all the land of Egypt. Which when Jacob heard, he awaked as it were out of a deep sleep, yet did not believe them. |
| 27及至他们将若瑟对他们所说的话，全讲给他听，他又看了若瑟打发来接他的车辆，他们的父亲雅各伯的心神才苏醒过来。 | 27They, on the other side, told the whole order of the thing. And when he saw the wagons and all that he had sent his spirit revived, |
| 28以色列于是说：「只要我儿若瑟还在，我就心满意足了；在我未死以前，我该去见他一面。」 | 28And he said: It is enough for me, if Joseph my son be yet living: I will go and see him before I die. |
