| 1乌齐雅、纳堂、【阿哈次和希则克雅】为犹大王，约阿士的儿子雅洛贝罕为以色列王时，上主有话传给贝厄黎的儿子欧瑟亚。 | 1The word of the Lord, that came to Osee the son of Beeri, in the days of Ozias, Joathan, Achaz, and Ezechias kings of Juda, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joas king of Israel. |
| 2上主开始藉欧瑟亚发言时，上主对欧瑟亚说：「你去娶一个娼妇为妻，让她生淫乱的子女，因为此地淫乱放荡，背离了上主。」 | 2The beginning of the Lord's speaking by Osse: and the Lord said to Osee: Go, take thee a wife of fornications, and have of her children of fornications: for the land by fornication shall depart from the Lord. |
| 3欧瑟亚便去娶了狄布拉因的女儿哥默尔为妻；她怀孕，给他生了一个儿子。 | 3So he went, and took Gomer the daughter of Debelaim: and she conceived and bore him a son. |
| 4上主对欧瑟亚说：「你要给他起名叫依次勒耳，因为过不久，我要向耶胡家追讨依次勒耳的血债，要消灭以色列家的王室。 | 4And the Lord said to him: Call his name Jezrahel: for yet a little while, and I will visit the blood of Jezrahel upon the house of Jehu, and I will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel. |
| 5到那一天，我必要在依次勒耳山谷折断以色列的弓。」 | 5And in that day I will break in pieces the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezrahel. |
| 6哥默尔再怀孕，生了一个女儿，上主对欧瑟亚说：「你给她起名叫罗鲁阿玛（不蒙爱怜者），因为我不再爱怜以色列家，以致我不再宽宥他们。 | 6And she conceived again, and bore a daughter, and he said to him: Call her name, Without mercy: for I will not add any more to have mercy on the house of Israel, but I will utterly forget them. |
| 7但我要爱怜犹大家族，要拯救他们，因为我上主是他们的天主；但是我不以弓弩、刀剑、战争、战马和骑士拯救他们。 | 7And I will have mercy on the house of Juda, and I will save them by the Lord their God: and I will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, nor by horses, nor by horsemen. |
| 8罗鲁阿玛断奶之后，哥默尔又怀孕，生了一个儿子。 | 8And she weaned her that was called Without mercy. And she conceived, and bore a son. |
| 9上主说：「你给他起名叫罗阿米（非我人民），因为你们已不是我的人民，我已也不是你们的上主。」 | 9And he said: Call his name, Not my people: for you are not my people, and I will not be yours. |
| 10 | 10And the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, that is without measure, and shall not be numbered. And it shall be in the place where it shall be said to them: You are not my people: it shall be said to them: Ye are the sons of the living God. |
| 11 | 11And the children of Juda, and the children of Israel shall be gathered together: and they shall appoint themselves one head, and shall come up out of the land: for great is the day of Jezrahel. |
