| 1以色列子民，请听上主的话！因为上主谴责此地的居民：因为此地没有诚实，没有仁爱，没有人认识天主； | 1Hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel, for the Lord shall enter into judgment with the inhabitants of the land: for there is no truth, and there is no mercy, and there is no knowledge of God in the land. |
| 2只有诅咒、谎言、杀戮、偷窃、奸淫、强暴和累累的血案。 | 2Cursing, and lying, and killing, and theft, and adultery have overflowed, and blood hath touched blood. |
| 3因此，此地必要荒废；凡住在这地上的，甚至田间的野兽和天空的飞鸟都要绝迹，连海中的鱼类也要消灭。 | 3Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth in it shall languish with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of the air: yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be gathered together. |
| 4但是没有人争辩，也没有人谴责！司祭啊，我要与你争辩！ | 4But yet let not any man judge: and let not a man be rebuked: for thy people are as they that contradict the priest. |
| 5你白天黑夜跌倒，先知也同你一齐跌倒，你竟然使你的人民丧亡。 | 5And thou shalt fall today, and the prophet also shall fall with thee: in the night I have made thy mother to be silent. |
| 6我的百姓因缺乏知识而灭亡；因为你抛弃了知识，我也要抛弃你，不让你充当我的司祭；你既然忘却了你的天主的法律，我也要忘记你的子孙。 | 6My people have been silent, because they had no knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will reject thee, that thou shalt not do the office of priesthood to me: and thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I also will forget thy children. |
| 7司祭越增多，也越得罪我，竟以耻辱作为他们的光荣。 | 7According to the multitude of them so have they sinned against me: I will change their glory into shame. |
| 8他们赖我百姓的罪恶自肥，一心渴望他们的过犯。 | 8They shall eat the sins of my people, and shall lift up their souls to their iniquity. |
| 9因此，百姓和司祭，一律看待：我将按他的行径惩治他，对他的行为予以报复， | 9And there shall be like people like priest: and I will visit their ways upon them, and I will repay them their devices. |
| 10好使他们吃，却吃不饱，行淫却不能繁殖；因为他们舍弃了上主，纵欲， | 10And they shall eat and shall not be filled: they have committed fornication, and have not ceased: because they have forsaken the Lord in not observing his law. |
| 11行淫：老酒新酒叫人失去良知。 | 11Fornication, and wine, and drunkenness take away the understanding. |
| 12我的人民求教于木偶，让木杖启示他；因为淫心迷住了他们，使他们行淫，远离了他们的天主。 | 12My people have consulted their stocks, and their staff hath declared unto them: for the spirit of fornication hath deceived them, and they have committed fornication against their God. |
| 13在山顶上献祭，在丘陵上、在橡树、杨树和笃耨树下焚香，在浓荫下多么愉快；因此你们的女儿行淫，你们的儿媳犯奸。 | 13They offered sacrifice upon the tops of the mountains, and burnt incense upon the hills: under the oak, and the poplar, and the turpentine tree, because the shadow thereof was good: therefore shall your daughters commit fornication, and your spouses shall be adulteresses. |
| 14但我却不因你们的女儿行了淫，而惩罚她们，也不因你们的儿媳犯了奸，而处罚她们；因为他们同荡妇走往偏僻之处，又同庙妓一起献祭：但无智的百姓却因此而堕落！ | 14I will not visit upon your daughters when they shall commit fornication, and upon your spouses when they shall commit adultery: because themselves conversed with harlots, and offered sacrifice with the effeminate, and the people that doth not understand shall be beaten. |
| 15以色列！如果你行了淫，但愿犹大不要陷于罪恶！你们不要到基耳加耳去，不要上到贝特阿文，也不要起誓说：「上主永在！」 | 15If thou play the harlot, O Israel, at least let not Juda offend: and go ye not into Galgal, and come not up into Bethaven, and do not swear: The Lord liveth. |
| 16的确，以色列倔强，有如一头倔强的母牛，那么上主那能牧放他们，有如在广阔的草场牧放羔羊？ | 16For Israel hath gone astray like a wanton heifer: now will the Lord feed them, as a lamb in a spacious place. |
| 17厄弗辣因与偶像结了不解之缘：任凭他们罢！ | 17Ephraim is a partaker with idols, let him alone. |
| 18他们与醉客为伍，任意荒淫，喜爱羞耻胜于上主的光荣。 | 18Their banquet is separated, they have gone astray by fornication: they that should have protected them have loved to bring shame upon them. |
| 19暴风要伸展羽翼将他们卷去，他们必因自己的祭坛蒙受耻辱。 | 19The wind hath bound them up in its wings, and they shall be confounded because of their sacrifices. |
