| 1「来，我们回到上主那里去，因为他撕碎了我们，也必要治愈；他打伤了我们，也必要包扎。 | 1In their affliction they will rise early to me: Come, and let us return to the Lord: |
| 2两天后他必使我们复生，第三天他必使我们兴起，生活在他的慈颜下。 | 2For he hath taken us, and he will heal us: he will strike, and he will cure us. |
| 3让我们认识上主，让我们努力认识上主！他定要像曙光一样出现，他要来到我们中间，有如秋雨，有如滋润田地的春雨。」 | 3He will revive us after two days: on the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. We shall know, and we shall follow on, that we may know the Lord. His going forth is prepared as the morning light, and he will come to us as the early and the latter rain to the earth. |
| 4厄弗辣因，我可对你作什么？犹大，我可对你作什么？因为你们的仁爱有如早晨的浮云，有如易于消逝的朝露。 | 4What shall I do to thee, O Ephraim? what shall I do to thee, O Juda? your mercy is as a morning cloud, and as the dew that goeth away in the morning. |
| 5因此，我藉先知们砍伐了他们，以我口中的言语杀戮了他们；我的裁判出现有如光明： | 5For this reason have I hewed them by the prophets, I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments shall go forth as the light. |
| 6因为我喜欢仁爱胜过祭献，喜欢人认识天主胜过全燔祭。 | 6For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice: and the knowledge of God more than holocausts. |
| 7但是他们在阿当就违犯了盟约，在那里已背叛了我。 | 7But they, like Adam, have transgressed the covenant, there have they dealt treacherously against me. |
| 8基肋阿得是座作恶者的城池，满了血迹。 | 8Galaad is a city of workers of idols, supplanted with blood. |
| 9一队司祭就如埋伏的强盗，在往舍根的路上行凶；的确，他们行了可耻的事。 | 9And like the jaws of highway robbers, they conspire with the priests who murder in the way those that pass out of Sichem: for they have wrought wickedness. |
| 10在贝特耳我见了可恶的事：在那里厄弗辣因行了淫，以色列玷污了自己。 | 10I have seen a horrible thing in the house of Israel: the fornications of Ephraim there: Israel is defiled. |
| 11当我转变我百姓的命运时，犹大啊！为你也注定了一个收割期。 | 11And thou also, O Juda, set thee a harvest, when I shall bring back the captivity of my people. |
