| 1荒野和不毛之地必要欢乐，沙漠必要欣喜，如花盛开， | 1The land that was desolate and impassable shall be glad, and the wilderness shall rejoice, and shall flourish like the lily. |
| 2盛开得有如百合，高兴得欢乐歌唱，因为它们将获得黎巴嫩的光华，加尔默耳和沙龙的美丽，它们将见到上主的荣耀，我们天主的光辉。 | 2It shall bud forth and blossom, and shall rejoice with joy and praise: the glory of Libanus is given to it: the beauty of Carmel, and Saron, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the beauty of our God. |
| 3你们应加强痿弱的手，坚固颤动的膝， | 3Strengthen ye the feeble hands, and confirm the weak knees. |
| 4告诉心怯的人说：「鼓起勇气来，不要畏惧！看，你们的天主，报复已到，天主的报酬已到，他要亲自来拯救你们！」 | 4Say to the fainthearted: Take courage, and fear not: behold your God will bring the revenge of recompense: God himself will come and will save you. |
| 5那时瞎子的眼睛要明朗，聋子的耳朵要开启； | 5Then shall the eyes of the blind be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. |
| 6那时瘸子必要跳跃如鹿，哑吧的舌头必要欢呼，因为旷野里将流出大水，沙漠中将涌出江河， | 6Then shall the lame man leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall be free: for waters are broken out in the desert, and streams in the wilderness. |
| 7白热的沙地将变为池沼，炕旱的地带将变为水源，豺狼栖息的洞穴将生出芦苇和菖蒲。 | 7And that which was dry land, shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water. In the dens where dragons dwell before, shall rise up the verdure of the reed and the bulrush. |
| 8那里将有一条大路，称为「圣路」，不洁的人不得通行：这原是他百姓所走的路，愚蠢的人也不会迷路。 | 8And a path and a way shall be there, and it shall be called the holy way: the unclean shall not pass over it, and this shall be unto you a straight way, so that fools shall not err therein. |
| 9那里没有狮子，猛兽也不上来，路上遇不到一只野兽，独有被赎出的人们行走。 | 9No lion shall be there, nor shall any mischievous beast go up by it, nor be found there: but they shall walk there that shall be delivered. |
| 10上主所解救的人必要归来，快乐地来到熙雍，永久的欢乐临于他们头上，他们将享尽快乐和欢喜，忧愁和悲哀必将远遁。 | 10And the redeemed of the Lord shall return, and shall come into Sion with praise, and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and mourning shall flee away. |
